U.S. and European Union envoys are seeking more clarity from the United Nations on a slowdown in global warming that climate skeptics have cited as a reason not to “panic” about environmental changes, leaked documents show.
They’re requesting that more details on the so-called “hiatus” be included in a key document set to be debated at a UN conference next month that will summarize the latest scientific conclusions on climate change.

The new consensus, agreed to by 100% of scientists is that 100% of those multi $Billion dollar General Circulation Models have failed to predict what is actually happening.
When you get a 100% error rate, it really is time to flush your theory.

When you read this stuff, one thing becomes apparent: neither sleet nor snow, nor freezing tropics, nor reams of irrefutable scientific evidence to the contrary will deny them their AGW. It simply HAS to happen.
Does anyone think that the request for “details” and “clarity” means the governments want scientific facts and realistic scenarios? I doubt it.
This IPCC report is the last grasp at the carbon pricing brass ring for heavily indebted, revenue hungry governments. The rumour is that the report will go big on apocalyptic but relatively unlikely possibilities to block the observed data that global warming (human or natural) is not going to be catastrophic and may even be a net benefit to humans and nature. Just as the 15 year “hiatus” suggests that correlation between increases in CO2 and temperature is incorrect, the correlation between increased temperature and negative outcomes is incorrect. Increasing temperature both historical and modern has produced a greener world and healthier, wealthier people. Temperature drops have always been the bigger threat. The optimal conditions for humans and nature may not be known yet but I’d bet it’s on the warmer end of the spectrum.
Governments are simply asking for excuses to explain the discrepencies in order to stifle opposition so they can continue to impose the taxes they are hoping for. nu87c
All that is needed to break this eco-cult of cAGW is some basic facts. 250 mya the temperature was 5K(5 degrees C) higher than now,and CO2 levels were around 5000-6000 pmmv. Way above our current pityful 400 pmmv. It was the Paleozoic era,and saw the greatest growth of flora and fauna in earth’s 4.5 billion year history. So yeah,LC Bennett,warmer is better. The naked fact is that the IPCC doesn’t have a clue on climate change. Computer models were tweaked until the desired output results were achieved and then, surprise…mother nature gave them a smackdown and the gravy train derailed. They should have been disbanded the first time they referred to CO2 as warming cause or pollution simply because that defied all logic. It’s the biggest scam in human history perpetrated on a gullible public willing to pay taxes on the .038% trace gas essential for life to ward off a non existing problem. The economic destruction caused by these snake oil salesmen is incalculable. Gained value for trillions spent is zero. That money could have gone to reduce real problems like real pollution. Perhaps they should have stuck to the certainty and unanimous consensus they had in ’75.

When you see “top secret” info like this that was not leaked by a whistle blower, you know the spooks are planting it as counterintelpro.
It’s extremely unlikely that Bin Laden was killed in that raid – maybe a few hapless goats and their owners but I doubt Bin Laden survived without kidney dialysis for over a decade to be conveniently killed to pump up a lame duck POTUs’s popularity numbers. Coincidence all the SEALs on that raid are dead now from numerous mishaps?

The revered James Hansen who had been riding the gravy train for more than 3 decades seems to have forgotten his past statements, just as Suzuki does not mention he is a fruit fly expert (fitting), not a climate scientist. Gore is the same opportunistic shyster he has always been. The IPCC can take credit for destroying Greece under Agenda 21 long before socialism finished it off.

The theoretical ideas on climate have failed. The IPCC’s predictions about climate have proved wrong. The British UK Met Office’s predictions for the last several winters have been wrong, with sad consequences for Britain’s elderly.
We have little empirical guidance and no useful theoretical direction. Is there an upward trend in global temperatures? I don’t know (I doubt it, but that isn’t knowledge). Furthermore, you don’t know. Nor does Michael Mann, nor the motley CRUD in East Anglia. What I do know, is that it is immoral to freeze the elderly to death through artificially elevated fuel prices.
