In any case, irrespective of whether you favor the global data, or the oceanic data, it is clear the the temperature with its fluctuations is inconsistent with the “high estimate” in the IPCC-FAR (and it has been the case for a decade if you take the oceanic temperature, or half a decade, if you take the global temperature, not admitting that it is biased). In fact, it appears that only the low estimate can presently be consistent with the observations. Clearly then, earth’s climate sensitivity should be revised down, and the upper range of sensitivities should be discarded and with it, the apocalyptic scenarios which they imply. For some reason, I doubt that the next AR5 report will consider this inconsistency, nor that they will revise down the climate sensitivity (and which is consistent with other empirical indicators of climate sensitivity). I am also curious when will the general public realize that the emperor has no clothes.

That is correct. The warming isn’t at all as ‘accelerated’ as the AGW alarmists would have us believe.
In the W. Canadian boreal forest average winter temperatures have increased by about 3°C in 50 years. There has been negligible change in average Spring, Summer and Fall temperatures.
The overall yearly average change is less than a degree in 50 years, or 0.02°C per decade. 1/10th of the CRUTem3 trend that anthropogenic warming alarmists pin their argument to.
If one analyzes temperature data trends from weather stations at small communities all across the Canadian boreal forest[since 1943 available online], one finds the same effect.
Weather stations away from urban heat islands do not show the rapid increase in global warming that some believe is happening.
It’s ironic because most anthropogenic global warming believers live in the urban high population density ‘heat islands’ which are skewing the global average temperatures reported.
They are causing the anomaly which underpins their beliefs.
Lubos Motl had a post today about how suddenly NASA has discovered the effects of global warming are far more significant in Canada than anywhere else. Curious how all of these dire changes occurred right after the Conservative government ditched Kyoto.
Just when I had gotten quite comfortable with the above zero global warming in southern BC this winter we had a dump of snow and temperatures dropped to -15C. I’d like my global warming back please.
Expect the IPCC to suddenly publish large amounts of material about “missing heat” and, when we least expect it, it’s going to come out of the depths of the oceans and make them boil. The CAGW crowd has gone off the deep end and it’s just a matter of time before the majority of the population notices that they’re deranged. Expect a major impact on the statist politicians who’ve fully embraced the CAGW meme and hopefully one of BC’s political parties will come out against the CAGW fraud. BC is full of watermelons but they seem to avoid the areas of the province that experience winter for some reason.
NASA’s glory days are over. With the extensive cuts the Obama Administration has made to its budget (manned space operations have ceased), they’re nothing more than window-dressing. They’re irrelevant now, however, they still have the reputation built on past endeavours, unfortunately, they’re squandering it for the benefit of the Administration who cut their funding.

We just talked to our daughter-in-law in Chilliwack and the city is basically paralyzed from a snowfall on top of a snowfall. The schools have been shut down.

The best way to get to them is letting them know this is BS & they had better not go their or they wont have a job.
Anything that keeps the glaciers at bay is good. I wish anthropogenic global warming actually did have something to it so we’d have a way to fight back when the orbits have changed enough that the Canada wide wall of ice comes south again.
