  1. And I thought they couldn’t go lower. Now it becomes comical. From the mouth of babes. What a joke.

  2. Making a checklist in my mind: no, no, no, no, no… Not worried about those things at all.
    Deterioration of food supply? Yes.
    Lying bastard doctors? Yes.
Socialist indoctrination at school? Yes big time.
    Redistribution of wealth? You bet.

  3. Very touching video…
But I still think Clinton for president with Obama as VP is the best solution. Then after 8 yrs, Obama can be president.

  4. Using children to further a political message. Isn’t that a radical muslim sort of thing?
Somebody tell me this is a joke. Please.

  5. I was half expecting to see a row of kindergarten kids wearing camo and balaclavas holding toy guns chanting O-bamA O-bamA!

  6. “In this time of great despair comes a great gift”
*cue prophetic whispering in background-fade to black*

  7. This video has the same feel as those Palestinian videos in which they brain wash children into hating Jewish people.
The content is not as bad but it has the same feel…
    Obama promises change,
yeah well I guess a president who’s mentor, who’s role model, who’s inspiration is a USA-Hating and White People Hating racist would be a change…

  8. Yeah Jimmy Jones had the solutions for a perfect world too!
    Way too creepy, thought control.

  9. It’s almost as bad as when they interview children on the evening news. They may as well ask for my cat’s opinion, his couldn’t be any less informed.
To directly comment on this ad all I can say is that using children, who have no idea whatsoever what they are talking about, is low. Really low.

  10. The sad thing is, this type of production works.
The only way, if at all possible,to combat this is for real people to scream like hell in public at the producers of dr Goebel type productions. This is consistant with very professional subliminal media productions. In a very real way it is evil, but it does work.
How can we be critical of warm cuddly children??

  11. Has Barack Hussein Obama received a Vatican blessing yet? After all a second coming is big news.

  12. To use children in such a blatant manner makes one wonder of how low these people can get. If they use them now for a blatant ad campaigned, then they will use them in the future to spearhead their thoughts on other ad campaigners. The kids really do not have any interest in political bullshit. If they followed their leaders in thought and ways you would have all the future kids saying that it is OK to lie, steal, kill, put everybody on the political tit. Just as they are trying to do now with all the people who believe in their crap. The left is so disgusting that it would make anybody with any gumption puke. Merle Underwood.

  13. Using children to further a political message. Isn’t that a radical muslim sort of thing? – RCGZ
Yup, next they’ll be attaching bombs.
BTW, did anybody check the credits? I thought I saw David Suzuki listed as the director.

  14. Why teach them HOW to think, when you can just teach them WHAT to think instead….and further your own political cause at the same time!
And people ask me why we raise OUR kids OURSELF, instead of letting a “pro” do it…..

  15. If you teach a kind what to think you can have him think what you want forever,
If you teach a kid to think for himself, he won’t need you anymore.
That clip is political child molestation.
Obama and his gang are child molesters.

  16. Exploitation of children for political purposes has to rank right down there with the latest sex scandal, both show a distinct lack of moral foundation.

  17. if it wasn’t really 2008, I’d say that ad is 100% 1984.
The only thing missing was the ” Ministry of Truth” logo on the wall behind the kiddies.

  18. They also disabled comments and likely kept all the drooling supportive ones. I was tempted to leave one calling to draft King Herod for president.
I have to wonder where the kids came from? Did they parents know that this was happening? I for one would never use my little snot-rocketeer to pimp any political agenda even if I was passionately for it. Sending a child out to do an adult’s job in the realm of politics reminds me too much of pictures of children from the turn of the [20th] cent minding dangerous choppy finger machinery.

  19. Reminds me of the USSR in the last century.
Young Komsomol members and Pioneers extolling the virtues of Stalin and the glorious revolution.

  20. Is it just my imagination or do all of these kids look like zombies?
The opener, the wind blowing, all the ominous diasters lurking…I thought we were in war-torn Iraq or Afghanistan, with an English voice-over.
Well, blow me away! We’re in the good ol–or bad ol’–U. S. of A. in need of a Saviour.
And: here he comes to save the day!!
SICK. Who makes this stuff up? Creatures from another planet?

  22. They look like zombies because they’re repeating something they’ve memorized. Most have no idea what it means, so therefore the creepy disconnect between the facial expression and the message.

  23. sorry for the double post: ‘didn’t get the green
“indicator” at the bottom telling me my comment was posting…

  24. I think Obama is looking a bit scary at this point.
Check out Matt Drudge today for the full text of his “A more perfect union” speech. That’s a speech that should make any level-headed person nervous.

  25. This is called reality election campaigning. This is the REAL level of reasoning of Obama supporters.
All I can say is, DEFINITELY DO NOT SEND YOUR KIDS TO HARVARD!!

  26. Actually, the comments at youtube are telling.
    1) disabled 1 week ago. Usually that happens when something gets lots of negative feedback.
    2) the video is rated 2 stars only. This means that for every person who gave it a 5 star rating, there were about 4 who gave it a 1 star rating.
So, actually most people are not stupid enough to see this as a good ad. They see it as child abuse at worst, stupid at best.
But it is a useful comment about the type of ADULTS who support Obama.

  27. I wanted to hug the kid who wants ‘honest government’. The kid is barking up the wrong tree. Obama ain’t it. That will be the biggest disappointment he’s had since he learned there is no Santa.
I weep at the shameless exploitation of kids nowadays. I asked my grgrandkid what she wants and it’s something she isn’t going to get either: “a horse”.

  28. Oh please, give me a break.
The well being of children has been invoked in politics pretty much ever since there was politics. And it’s been used by everyone from the Luddite left to the social conservative right.
It’s tacky and it’s an attempt to appeal to emotion over intellect, but it’s hardly exclusive to the Obama campaign and the Nazis.

  29. I don’t know about everyone else, but I ALWAYS vote the way 5-year-old kids tell me to vote. I have great respect for their political acumen. /sarc off
“When I was a child, I spoke as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child; but when I became a man I put away childish things”.
I believe that faith in Barack Obama is a “childish thing”.

  30. “Whereas the child, by reason of his physical and mental immaturity, needs special safeguards and care, including appropriate legal protection, before as well as after birth, . . .
The child shall enjoy special protection, and shall be given opportunities and facilities, by law and by other means, to enable him to develop physically, mentally, morally, spiritually and socially in a healthy and normal manner and in conditions of freedom and dignity. In the enactment of laws for this purpose, the best interests of the child shall be the paramount consideration . . .
The child is entitled to receive education, which shall be free and compulsory, at least in the elementary stages. He shall be given an education which will promote his general culture and enable him, on a basis of equal opportunity, to develop his abilities, his individual judgement, and his sense of moral and social responsibility, and to become a useful member of society. . . .
The child shall be protected against all forms of neglect, cruelty and exploitation. He shall not be the subject of traffic, in any form.. . .”
From the UN Declaration of the Rights of the Child.
The child is plainly immature, dignity has been violated, is being prevented from developing individual judgement and is clearly being exploited. Shame on this most mendacious form of child abuse and the child’s parents and abusers.

  31. You can bet the Liberals and NDP are taking notes in Ottawa. If it works for Obama in the states they’ll try it here for sure.

  32. So, Travis, evidence, please, of the political right shamelessly using children to sell their message…
Otherwise, your claim is only so much hot air…

  33. I was at an Independence Day parade in Iowa last summer. The campaign teams were out in force. Quite a few tried to give sticker to my kids but I jumped right in to say “no thanks.” One lady looked at me like I was a bit crazy but I told her that she wasn’t going to use my children for her campaign regardless of which party she was with. And the girls certainly weren’t going to be wearing Obama stickers!

  34. Ah, kids…
…so easily malleable and untroubled by the vast array of unknowns in their lives. Not to Godwin the thing, but Mr H, and Mr Mao understood how handy kids were because of these traits. They literally don’t know what they’re missing, so their sincerity in the absence of insight can be very useful. Kids. Gotta love ’em.

  35. Well BATB, what I actually said was that invoking well being of children was used as part of political arguments across the political spectrum.
Frankly given the arguments over balancing the budget that we were having not so many years ago in which is was argued that it was un-ethical for us to run deficits and pass on the debt to our children (arguments that I happen to agree with btw) I thought the point was rather obvious.
Shameless was your word, but whatever…
A divisive and hotly debated issue boiled down to one thing… children. And children apparently trump all the other issues involved. You don’t find it perhaps just a little shameless?
“The whole issue of gay marriage can be summed up in one word — children.”

  36. Yeah, I missed it too, but got the gist from the comments. . .
    Barrak Obama*s Father *got around*
My understanding is that this half brother living in China is Mark. He’s the son of Obama’s father and an American woman named Ruth, whom Obama Sr. met while at Harvard in the 1960s and brought back to Kenya.
That was after his marriage with Obama’s mother in Hawaii ended. Another son from the union with Ruth, called David, was killed in a motorcycle accident. In all, Obama Sr. fathered eight children by four women.

  37. Travis: “invoking well being of children was used as part of political arguments across the political spectrum” is a far-cry from USING actual children to advertise your viewpoint, especially children saying things that wouldn’t in a million years come out of a child’s mouth: “I want honest government.”
    GIVE ME A BREAK.
So now you’ve gone from politics to the Church, invoking catholiceducation.org to slap me on the wrist.
I knew there was something fishy about your post…
