   His PhD thesis was about Vietnam, so at least he knows the pitfalls.
   I would love to be a fly on the wall if General Rick Hillier and he ever met.

    I don’t know what you’re trying to suggest with this video clip Kate. George W. Bush announced victory in Iraq back in 2003.
    Duh.

12. Kate: More – Al Qaeda’s retreat from Iraq to Afghanistan.
    Great news! Al Qaeda is out of Iraq and back in Afghanistan. Of course, the only reason they went to Iraq is because the US invaded there first, so in actuality, after four years of combat, the US has really only managed to push Al Qaeda out of a country that they weren’t in to begin with and back into the country where they were all along.
    Oh well, I guess a win’s a win!

    Don’t you guys like how Petraeus is kicking ass and taking names? Don’t you now agree with George Bush that staying and fighting the good fight was the right thing to do?
    If not, then just let me hear you explain to me why you don’t think Iraqi’s deserve to be free? Do you think that just because they have dark skin they can’t handle democracy and freedom? Why do all of you lefties want differently skinned people to be ruled by dictators? Surely they are as deserving of freedom as we are.
    Or is the only reason you want America and Iraq to lose because you wish your hero BJ Clinton would have had the balls to do the same.
    Why don’t you guys grow a set and man up and congratulate George Bush and General Petraeus and the troops on the excellent job they’ve done delivering democracy to Iraq.
    It’s great to hear about smiling Iraqi’s thanking Americans for the freedom they have been given. I only wish Canada could have been there alongside our American brothers. At least we’re helping free the people of Afghanistan.
