Why this blog?
Until this moment I have been forced to listen while media and politicians alike have told me "what Canadians think". In all that time they never once asked.
This is just the voice of an ordinary Canadian yelling back at the radio -
"You don't speak for me."

Oops.
As a mere baby, I was double-clutching unsynchronized gears. It would never happen to me. I love standards.
Shitty car. Glad he smashed it up.
Where are the lawyers? Time for a class action suit, just like they had against Toyota (or Mercedes or someone else) with ‘runaway acceleration’, when the reality is the moron behind the wheel can’t tell the brake from the clutch from the accelerator.
Heaven help us if they get in a car with a dead pedal.
It’s a plastic car. The front clip is cheap and easily replaced. The showrrom plate glass window is removeable. He’s really lucky he didn’t mess with Mr. Pepsi!
Well, the buyer should refuse to accept the car, even if it is repaired, because a car is only new once. Or else, demand a deep discount, which is what I’d probably do, if it were me.
Dealerships carry insurance to cover errors like this, but that salesman should be kicking his lunchbucket down Auto Row, unless his boss gave him direct instructions to move the car.
I would expect all car salespersons should be able to drive standard shift as a matter of basic workplace competence, and if the dealership hired some guy who couldn’t drive stick, then it’s the dealership that should wear the damages.
Dings go better with coke.
We need an electric Corvette. To compete with Tesla who are literately dominating the car market with high sales. There is even another mysterious competitor going into the red hot electric car market. Where can I go to get into this action?!

It’s a Chevy. It wasn’t like it was a hand made Ferrari or Lamborghini which are works of art.
That said, cars are for going from point A to point B.
It was a car. Saying it was worth X means little more than the people who value it for it’s imagined status.
Great excuse for that custom paint job the new owner always wanted! Maybe painting the “Hammer of Thor” on the front bumper?
Car dealerships are a circus, and the kind of cutthroat sales mentality that exists keeps them from having the ‘luxury’ of hiring folks that actually know something about automobiles. Frankly, I’m surprised any of the cars work at all.
