  1. I used to post on The Guardian all the time, and the only comments that got removed were those that insulted fellow posters, which I (almost) never did. Then an increasing number of my comments started getting removed. As an example, the post “Modern feminism is no longer serving the best interests of women.” (nothing more) had a 100% chance of being removed. Puzzling, because I sure I was not violating their standards.

When I read their standards closely, however, I saw that they barred “hate speech.” My theory is that some moderators were interpreting any opinion they strongly disagreed with as hate speech.

And that’s the problem with banning hate speech. It is a infinitely flexible category which can be bent to serve the political aims of any group with the power to censor.

    1. Well, I think there is a perverse consistency here. Speech that is band as hate speech is banned by people who hate the speech. The hate is on the other nipple.

    2. You can’t say something is bad. You have to say that it is “un-Good”. If you think it’s very bad, then you say “Double Plus un-Good”.

    3. Well, duh. Popular speech has never needed the protection of the law. No one in the history of the world has ever been attacked for saying “looks like rain today”, or “probably frost tonight” or “can I get directions to the high street”.

  2. The battle of the sexes is over, girls. The winners are the genteel perverts who goaded you into turning against your fathers and brothers—not that they needed to push very hard.

By now it should be clear that they didn’t do it because they loved women.

Please don’t look to us to defend you from the sissies, girls. You wanted to be the equal of men. Well, when men do stupid things—such as supporting “hate speech” to ban sensible people from calling them on their stupidity—they are expected to live with the consequences.

We don’t even want you back. Go away and scratch out each other’s eyes to your hearts’ content. Just leave your brothers alone to enjoy the fruits of their labour in peace, and stop expecting us to clean up your messes.

Because frankly? You and the sissies deserve each other.

(You want free speech? Get back to us on that when we get ours back, girls. And that’s not a promise.)

  3. Look at it this way Lindsay, the progressive lefties that own and run Twitter are keeping you from getting in a fight with a pig, a fight you can’t win because the pig likes it and you just get dirty.

    1. and so I replied saying ‘at least I have a uterus, you fat ugly man.’ I thought, ‘I can’t allow him to make these misogynistic remarks about me and not fight back.’

I have never understood why the Canadian right lionizes this airhead.

      1. And I don’t understand your problem with Lindsay’s retort. Do you believe there’s no such thing as misogyny? Or that it cannot be said of a man who presents (poorly) as a women

        1. There is also such a thing as misandry, Kenji. And I see way to much of it everywhere. Whereas I don’t think I have ever actually personally witnessed misogyny in my lifetime.

      2. Daniel Ream, there must be a lot then that you don’t understand. She fights the system.

  4. For the umpteenth time, I am permanently banned from the DM … because I questioned the newsworthiness of a lesbian kiss between Abby Wambach and shim’s wife … after the US Women’s World Cup Win in Canada 4-years ago.

What cutie pie Lindsay failed to understand, is that you simply CANNOT disparage anyTHING LGBTQqfu. The LGBTQqfu believe they can change homo-revulsion by changing and controlling the language. Problem is … they cannot change genetics … no matter how many games they play with the language. Homo-Trans revulsion is embedded in our genes … you cannot “socialize” it away. Sorry. You lose. You will ALWAYS lose.

And let me be clear, I am stridently militant about LGBTQqfu thought control. I believe in total free speech. Do I walk around gay-bashing and calling people phaggs? Hardly. I don’t engage in pointless things. And do I disparage the black male checkout clerk at my local Safeway market who presents as a black diva woman with the nails, makeup, and outfits you would expect from a nastay woman? Nope. I just collect my receipt and say, “thanks dude”. Ha ha … nope, I don’t say a thing

  5. I too got permanently suspended from Twitter about six weeks ago for posting a harmless meme about all this transgender insanity. And like Lindsay, I believe that was their excuse because they didn’t come out and tell me why they suspended me. Of course all this banning has nothing to do with “combatting hate”. The real intent here is permanently removing as many conservatives from social media as possible and to defeat Trump in 2020. And they’re not waiting until 2020 to do it because then it would be all to blindingly obvious that that’s the real motivation.

    1. Banned last yr for identical reasons….but Im thinking it was a Canadian politician or one of his monkeys. The tweet was over 3 months old at the time. Someone did some serious research to find something to ban me with.

I had the audacity to ask the question as to why all the fuss over Trans when they comprise 0.045% of the population..

      To hell with twatter….

  6. I don’t have a Twitter, Facebook or YouTube account and they can’t do anything to me.

Let the squealer class have their crappy internet chalkboard. We need a right wing equivalent. It happened with talk radio (rush, Levin, elder, hannity etc). It happened somewhat on TV with Fox. Now it’s time to take over the interweb too.

  7. Twits twitter.
They are only the “forum of choice” is you make them so.
Lindsay is wrong, slightly, there is no point arguing with idiots.
I have tolerated them long enough, now it is time for them to starve.
Withdraw your labour, see how long the clueless and useless last without us to prey on.
Funny how the revenues are shrinking.
    Cannot imagine why.
That “New Country ” we are being pushed into had better have a plan to banish the fools and bandits.

    1. Lindsay is wrong, slightly, there is no point arguing with idiots.Lindsay is wrong, slightly, there is no point arguing with idiots.

As the saying goes ‘Never argue with an idiot, as they will drag you down to their level and beat you with experience’.

  8. I’ve never really ‘gotten’ Twitter. I have an account. I barely use it. Some local news feeds including my city councilor, a couple of traffic feeds, the NHL.. I scroll through it maybe once a day. I can’t imagine why people bother trying to engage in anything resembling debate there. Lindsay is quickly going to realize that she’s lost access to absolutely nothing of value.

  9. “concerned about her inability to respond to mistruths now that she is banned from the platform.”
stating the profoundly obvious, THAT IS THE WHOLE OBJECTIVE Lindsay.
I had the entire twit issue already solved before they even existed, NOT ONE twittweet out of me yet.
Im too busy putting weatherguard on my roof in the rain, readying it for a shingle job done by moi alone the almost 70 hippie.

that’s right, TOO BUSY maintaining my rental property and increasing its equity. at least that’s the plan and trend.
