A Kitchener woman has been granted an absolute discharge following the second-degree murder of her infant son in 2020.
The incident took place on Aug. 9 at a home in Kitchener when the woman, who was experiencing a psychotic episode and auditory hallucinations, stabbed her infant son multiple times, resulting in his death.
She was arrested, but found not criminally responsible “on account of mental disorder” in April 2021 […]
At the hearing, the board noted that the woman had gained insight into the fact that she would need to take medication for the rest of her life and would abstain from the use of substances. The board added that she has “no violent ideation or significant behavioural instability.”
As a result of the hearing, she was granted an absolute discharge, meaning she has been found guilty with no penalty or fine, resulting in no criminal record.

So she’s another psycho out there without a care in the world. I assume the meds she’s taking or wasn’t taking are all funded by the taxpayers. No mention of the father anywhere??
Psychos like her seem to walk pretty frequently from CAMH.
Let’s bring back mental health institutions, and put the mental cases in there until they are ‘cured’ (i.e. lifetime).
Wonder if Allah was speaking to her?
Unbelievable.
I used to be the courts and cops reporter for the Battlefords News-Optimist from 2005-2008. And I saw a LOT. But probably the worst case, besides the murders and what not, was a First Nations man was left looking after his infant child while his girlfriend went out partying. The baby was crying, and he was strung out on heroin, so he picked up the baby by the leg and swung the baby several times against the wall to shut it up – breaking numerous bones including a skull fracture. The list of injuries was a paragraph long. Somehow, the baby survived. I don’t recall what the final verdict was. I don’t think I could have followed it, because I came home and cried. My own son was an infant at the time. We moved away shortly after that.
I don’t know which was worse – being beaten against a wall, in my case, and living, or being stabbed to death, in this case.
The First Nations guy was probably assigned a healing lodge. This country is circling the drain.
The board went on to congratulate the woman on her dedication to her well-being and wished her success in the future.
I cannot think of a more inappropriate thing to say to a woman who has just murdered her infant child. And yeah … she was probably doing great on her meds after being forced to-fed them by the prison system … but what about tomorrow? She’ll be just like every other loonie let loose on the streets. She’ll stop taking her meds … because she doesn’t like how they make her feel … and she’ll return to self medicating on pot and worse … and she’ll have another episode which endangers another innocent life. I know … because I have personal experience along these lines with a family member.
Perfectly sane while on meds … unhinged and desperately dangerous when off them.
The ‘Board’ is criminally naive and more interested in virtue signaling their suicidal empathy … than keeping the public safe.
Everything….absolutely everything….that the psycho-babble industry touches…turns to crap.
Kitchener woman………..Singh, Parmar or Mohammad?
When they are so afraid to publish the name, its a brown, guaranteed. This country makes me sick.
That so-call board needs to be splintered. No doubt staffed with bleeding heart loonie leftists. And yes, I recall the so-called ‘Crazy Houses’ where such brain damaged idiots were kept in order to protect the general public.
You can’t have a proper Shithole without fully enabling shitty people, but especially sub-humans like her.
Back in the day they would have called her a witch.
And then she might have been strangled or decapitated before being incinerated.
my impression is those on antipsychotic for schizophrenia, start feeling better, and due to side effects,
stop taking the meds. and get into that dreaded tail spin thing the fly boys talk about.
is this ever factored in to these board rulings ?
No, because judges are unaccountable to the citizens they pass judgment over.
Absolutely. My brother would take his antipsychotics for a few weeks then stop and spiral back down. The destruction of the mental hospital system in the U S. (Which being a bad mistake, Canada had to follow) did enormous damage: homelessness, mass murder, general degradation of urban life. My book My Brother Ron (available on Amazon) tells tge story.
Liberals see these damaged people as lifelong generators of (taxpayer sourced) income.
