I stopped paying dues about 2 years ago as i wasn’t practicing and needed the money. I was then given an “administrative suspension” – no big deal. I was thinking lately I would pay up so I would be listed as “retired in good standing”. Now i think, in good standing with this Stalinist cult? This is sickening. Don’t underestimate the progressive pressure of the local/provincial bar associations, which are sort of unions for lawyers. Membership is voluntary and most people just belong to support/use local law libraries. Believe it or not, despite the activities of the bar associations, most lawyers are much more interested in making a living than being loud lefties.

And some of the sheep who sign this will become judges.

His mistake is thinking that Trudeau’s Charter actually protects or promotes any kind of freedom in any way. Trudeau’s Charter is basically Big Brother’s manifesto of slavery for all. The fact that it exists is proof that Canada has been majority stupid for a VERY long time.
Under Trudeau’s charter, the government can

• control your speech
• police your thought
• take your property (Deif’s charter enshrined property rights; Trudeau excluded them by design)
• force you to worship the state instead of practicing a religion of your choice
• control of all children (public education; why you think they hate home schools so much?)

The end of all freedom, happiness, and possibility of individuality ended in Canada when Trudeau’s Charter of humans belong to government became law. It was of course named in the New Speak tradition as the opposite of what it actually was. The Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms, is all about limiting the rights of the individual, and removing freedom from the individual.

These are the same people who believe graduates of Christian schools are irredeemably racist.

They must be afraid that they’ll lose the case brought by Trinity Western University Law School.

Exactly! The Trudeau Charter guarantees that the State (through an unelected unaccountable court of ex lawyers) will decide which “rights and freedoms” citizens will be allowed or not allowed… “rights and freedoms” are entirely arbitrary. The Trudeau Charter dictates that “rights and freedoms” come from the State and not the people, much like the Soviet Charter.
