  1. I automatically assume every single thing is hackable anymore and operate accordingly. That includes my cup warmer that sits right here next to my monitor at work. Toenail clippers too.

  2. I came to the same conclusion long ago. Anything you can access online has already been accessed by others.
That said, I don’t understand all the hoops some sites put the user through when the only action you can take IS MAKE A PAYMENT!

  3. I’m sorry … but how much $$$ did the ever-so-valuable Marissa Meyer take away from Yahoo? Yeah she really “leaned-into” her job. Yeah, she’s a real (female) genius. Money $$$ for gender … nothing else.

  4. Marissa Meyer took a company that halfways worked and proceeded to run it into the ground. Yahoo used to be my primary e-mail system before she took over but it’s become bloated and unworkable.
I rarely use it for that purpose now.

  5. If they can hack the Pentagon, how can I protect myself??
When I was kid, we had overhead steel telephone lines. One one side of the highway was the local rural party line that allowed all subscribers to listen to their neighbours. On the other side of the road were the government lines that connected the operators to the main centers, Swift Current, Maple Creek etc. My Bro and I had designed a leather sling to climb telephone poles, and we’d hook up a wire and a head phone, and listened to many personal conversations, such as two bankers discussing our neighbour who was behind in the payment on his John Deere R.
All we used was an ordinary extension cord with clips on the end of the wires and a head set on the other end. Then we’d hide in the caraganas and listen.
Hacking and tapping is as old as the court jester eavesdropping on the king and his mistress.
