Altho I’m not vaxxed and so would not be allowed to step foot in Canada, were I vaxxed I’d still be very hesitant to come to Canada for fear my bank cards would not work at any point in time that the government determined for whatever reason, or might be forced to stay captive in my motel (or other accommodations) for whatever reason the government determined. Not going to venture there. Nope.

  3. I’m so glad I visited Canada many times in my younger days. Nothing – absolutely NOTHING, could convince me to visit it now, unless it was to be an armed invasion to help overthrow the tyrant(s) currently controlling it.

  6. Actually surprised to see an NDPer pursue this line of questioning so clearly and forcefully. Kudos to him. Now he just needs to lead a caucus revolt, get rid of his leader, and withdraw from the LibNDP pact and I will have some respect for him.
    As for Freeland, if she’s their big star and our future PM the Liberals and Canada are completely f*cked.

      2. In theory an elected representative civil servant selected to represent the wishes of the constituents. An office Manager if you will. Imagine Freeland as a Corporate CEO addressing a shareholders meeting in this manner. She would be out of a job by the end of the meeting.

      I also have to say that any halfway honest guy brought up in this country would be forced to call her out. This is not a traffic ticket, right? This is the government declaring martial law over bouncy castles and hot tubs.

      It seems like they really did enact the Emergencies Act because the truckers made them look bad. If they had even a fig-leaf of fake intel to hide behind they’d have used it by now.

A policeman pulling over a vehicle on the road needs more justification than this government has demonstrated for declaring what was effectively martial law, suspending the civil liberties of all Canadians, freezing bank accounts and having peaceful demonstrators thrown in jail. At the next election (assuming there will even be one) every Liberal and NDP candidate should be grilled mercilessly on why they are running for a party that without any dissent invoked these measures without a shred of justification and why we should believe that they wouldn’t do so again with any less flimsy excuse.

      I doubt there will be any elections and no one will grill any of those thieves on why they ruined a perfectly good country.
