    1. As the corporation which owns Tim Horton’s is Brazilian, it would be hard to round up enough Brazilians to operate most of the Timmies franchises.
      Portuguese, which is the language of Brazil, is likewise rare in Canaduh.

  9. The police forces in Canada are emboldened by this legislation, it isn’t only Edmonton AB having their police looking at enforcing this lunacy and I haven’t yet seen what the Atlantic or Quebec localities have in mind for this though I expect the worst.
    We all saw how they acted out during the covid times, arrests for playing outside in a park, the Calgary overseers screaming hysterically and arresting a man for recreationally skating / group hockey being played outdoors, and it’s been 6-7 years since that first year of videos from China of people falling over in the streets?

    It won’t be limited to simply “I hate this group”, but extend to “don’t shop here” “don’t do this” and soon it will be “illicitly wearing T-shirts with statements not inclusive”? … meanwhile the Jewish buildings are bombed, Christian churches are lit up across the country, and the police staff are busy enforcing “happy speak”?

  11. Community organizers file discrimination lawsuits against the Chicago police regularly. It is time for law-abiding citizen community groups to do the same against out-of-control mayors, city councils, police… Time for many elected officials and public servants to meet the New Rules.

  13. It’s a good scam if you are a lazy cop or the mayor. You invent a crime with a definition so wide it can be anything from a dirty joke to road rage. You then discover the problem is YUGE, that hate motivated incidents are so prevalent that something must be done! It keeps a whole lot of incompetant DEI hires looking busy doing bullshit work “fighting hate” and those right wing white supremacists we hear a lot about. It’s useful in the extent that specifying race or religion associated with crime can be considered a hateful incident.

    The hate speech/censorship laws are the Carney government’s Iron Curtin of Cult. Marxism. Create conflict via oppressed, identity group special status. Clever, but evil, it began step by step to erode the basis of our trust society since the 1970s-80s war on the family. Having individual Rights, gives everyone equal status and a shared interest in defending such.

    Freedom of Speech, of Association and of Peaceful Assembly broke the governments chokehold on society during the pandemic. But only when ordinary, conscientious citizens stood up and in doing so exposed Trudeau’s face of tyranny. Carney is a schemer with plans to make Canada a conquered colony of the European Union Commandantes in Brussels.

    One of the strongest arguments for Alberta and Saskatchewan Independence is having Constitutional Rights, the primary one being that of Freedom of Speech. The purpose of which is so bad/failed ideas get to die instead of people. Back in the 20th Century Canadian police were proud of their duty to state, honour and defend them. One of the reasons they are part of Remembrance Day service across Canada. That status became shaky during the pandemic.

    Policing is under provincial jurisdiction, as are provincial courts and prosecution policy. This separation of powers is designed for co-operative federalism, as a check against fed. gov’t. degenerating into tyranny. The pusillanimous C.P.C. on bended knee surrendered their role as the Loyal opposition. Cowering to avoid the risk personal prosecution-persecution of going to jail in defence of Canadians Constitutional Rights during the Panic-demic. Will they do the same again? Likely…

    Premier Danielle Smith can be an Iron Lady or turn into a little girl holding daddy Mark Carney’s hand. This warning by the Edmonton police is Carney’s tactic for federal supremacy and he knows the Supremes will back him up. She may have to stand alone, Scott Moe allied with Trudeau against his people. Will he do the same again with Carney? Likely…

      I escaped that stupid city in 2014.
      Mind you, the politics here in BC are no better, even worse in some ways, but at least the weather is better.
      I spent 35 years in Edmonton, and east of the city on 40 acres for half that time.
      Brutal winters, big wind, bad mosquitos, etc.
      I also watched the city decline due to ‘diverse’ additions, and progressively worse gov’t.
      A decline after Klein.
      Anyway, the idea of separation is a pipeline dream. Thirty years too late.

    Their lack of specificity does not preclude you from initiating a report to the Edmonton Police for a hate motivated incident. “Identifiable group” is not the same as “protected indentifiable group.” White, straight, male, Conservative is, in fact, an identifiable group, and anyone calling you a Nazi, or a Bigot, or whatever is in style on that particular day is actually committing a “hate motivated incident” per the Edmonton Police.

  19. just today l reminded my landlord friend how much l hate cops.
    last time they seriously angered me lm trying to get intruders out of my house,
    mr snarky comes up with “tenants are entitled to have guests”
    and proceed the threaten to “seize the animal and put it down for being aggressive” when l ask what if my dog bites an intruder?
    oddly enough a less than 1 1/2 years later 3 of them are shot dead (toronto, montreal, barrie area) and another one killed in a car crash walking distance to their college in Aylmer ON.

    my buddy’s now deceased ex went at him with a knife.
    he recounts the cops snarky “its a marriage thing” instead of politely and apologetically relating the reasons he cannot act further.

  23. I still wonder what it will take for rank-and-file, nominal conservatives to understand that the police are not our friends: they are the enforcement arm of government. And, by and large, bullies looking for targets. And most everything the Carnage regime is doing is enlarging the field of potential targets.
