Mark Carney’s video: Forward Guidance: Canada’s Energy Future
If you listen to the end, you’ll hear Carney essentially say Trudeau’s policies don’t work today.

Like nobody here knew that.
Anyone with an iota of common sense knew, even from before the plebeians voted for him.
One does understand that the common sense is not as common as it used to be, as the song goes.
Trudeau’s policies don’t work….neither to Carney’s. Fascism has already been tried and Carney is a classic fascist.
Great to hear!!! This obviously means that The Liberal Party Has Changed. That the ship has righted itself. The sails have been trimmed. The course has been corrected. That we have retuned to common sense. That the Liberal Party – and be extension, the nation – are returning to that much-loved, much-vaunted sensible Canadian “consensus” under the statesmanlike stewardship of Mark Carney. Let’s give the Liberals 4 more years. Elbows up!
BTW: anyone who actually believes even a fraction of what i just typed – and many, MANY Canadians will – is an UTTER MORON
It was Liberal Policy
Juthtin Dingbat has always been told what to think.
The only thing he ever led was ass-grabbing and face painting.
If I want a conservative government, that’s the party I’ll vote for, not the one which adopts conservative policies out of desperation and spends the next 4 years pretending to be something that they really aren’t. The last ten years are what defines the Liberal party in this country, not the next ten. Voters should never have let them get away with pretending the last ten years never happened, but then Orange Man Bad….
Sadly, on this Canada Day, I have given up on Canada. I truly do think that the sooner AB and SK leave (along with the Yukon Territory), the better it will be. It is always best to rip the bandage off. At my age of 74, it will also play Hell with my investments but it needs to be done.
for the longest time l wd have a maple leaf frab a big 3×4 or 4×5 if l cd find one on one side of the front of my place, then ok look, july 4 a stars & stripe shows up other side.

maybe l can ‘reach around and wipe my arse with it’.
still more and more folks feeling uneasy about trends.
nmaddog Liberals. and likewise ANYONE voting for them now.
lve come up with yet another moniker for TURDeau 2.0:
Justink. lm hoping it will catch on. you saw it here first !!!
The correct response to every liberal who suddenly sees the light on diversifying trade and exporting energy is: “YEAH, WE TOLD YOU SO FOR TEN YEARS! We should have done all this ten years ago but you voted against it.”
They ignore our foghorn in their ears for ten years and finally get hit over the head with an economic sledgehammer and now they want to explain this wonderful new economic epiphany they have had.
Remind them that they were too arrogantly stupid to listen and to see the obvious for ten years.
Ask them what changed.
price of gasoline in saudi arabia SAR 2.33 = US$0.62 = Cdn$ 0.87 per LITER
howcum? because they got lost of ye olde crude.
so do we? well, sorta NOT.
ergo PM Carnage SHUT yer f’ing face about ‘energy’
Forward Guidance? I won’t listen to arrogant stupidity. Ask the Bank of England how well Carney worked out for them.
I would say the most consequential issue today (July 1, 2026) is that the US did not renew the USMCA. Today was the deadline for that renewal. It now goes under annual reviews instead of every six years, and expires on 2036 if issues are not resolved.
Or…
The USMCA (also known as CUSMA in Canada) contains a withdrawal provision, Article 34.6, which allows any party to exit the agreement by providing six months’ written notice to the other parties. This clause is distinct from the agreement’s standard 16-year term and the 2026 review process; if invoked, the withdrawal takes effect six months after the notice is delivered
