I have not listened to all the episodes she has appeared on, but from the few I have heard I will say that she freely speaks her opinions, which I respect, whether I agree with her opinions or not.

Ms. Arbour’s political contributions show her values. In 2006 she donated $1,000 to Bob Rae’s Liberal leadership campaign. And from 2012 to 2019 she donated maximum yearly amounts to the federal NDP party. So it’s no wonder the corporate media are swooning over her choice.
Btw, Arbour’s choice makes her the third woman GG in a row from Quebec. The last time a western Canadian was GG was in 1990, 36 years ago. Since then all GGs have come from central Canada.
I can confirm that she is not in fact related to F. Scott FitzGerald’s notoriously rude cousin, R. Boor FitzGerald. It’s just a nasty rumour.
