Though the reasons for the uprising in Ireland are completely different than what happened in Canada in 2022, in both cases, the governments were completely uninterested in what their citizens were saying. That seems to be the pattern when global elites get too comfortably close with their client governments.

I think the politicians will relent if the straight doesn’t open soon. Ireland has the population of the GTA and is the size of New Brunswick. There is no place for them to hide next election if they piss people off. Oh, and the garda isn’t armed, they mostly enforce the peace through trust. If they lose that trust, they lose everything.
