Update: Let’s hope this proves to be true.

  1. Is ” Clinton bombing power plants” code for something? You know, something with cigars?

      1. Call me wacky, but agreeing to a two-week ceasefire with an opponent, who obviously has no intention of ever ceasing fire, strikes me as tantamount to soliciting from the world approval for the extermination of that opponent. I could be wrong, but still.

  2. It has been insanely stupid, where I have to deliberately avoid. Going to be weird to watch when all this cools down. And it will.

  3. Destroy civilization?

There are two groups that have announced their intent to destroy civilization; muzzies and sozis

  4. furthermore not a *single* leftoidal news source or advocacy group has mention the LOUD CHEERING from lranian expats turning out in the streets in 100s of thousands salivating at the prospect of ENDING this grisly barbaric 7th century caliphate that yes, HANGS teenagers and young women, and l dare say NOT so much for a specific ‘offense’ but an INTIMIDATION tactic. its coming to an end.
l didnt think it would, but l didnt factor in the resolve and focus of a chap like POTUS Trump.

      1. Was it the same intent with which gays buggered children, or something less honourable, do you think?

  5. Iran never, ever negotiates with the United States directly – face to face. they will not do it.
It is through 3rd parties only and consists of passing messages back and forth or remote video feeds.

    1. Given the US and Israeli habit of bombing the opposite negotiating team, that’s quite understandable.

    2. Oh … so Iran negotiates like a middle school mean girl. Yeah, those girls only respond to force.

  6. I’m throwing this out here.

Back in its first decade of Independence India was trying to carve out a non-aligned position during the early days of The Cold War and having great difficulty doing so because of pressures from the superpowers.  Here is an excerpt from a letter that Indian Prime Minister Nehru wrote to one of the country’s biggest industrialists, G.D. Birla way back in May, 1954.

“I do not think that there are many examples in history of a succession of wrong policies being followed by a country as by the United States in the Far East during the past five or six years.  They have taken one wrong step after another.  They think that they can solve any problem with money and arms.  They forget the human element.  They forget the nationalistic urges of people.  They forget the strong resentment of people against impositions.”

        1. With all respect, that’s the best place to read nonexistent print. Once it exists, it tends to fill up lines. Just pointing out.

    1. Well that might be true for countries that are not controlled by Islamic theologists. But not for free countries.

      1. Viet Nam may not have been controlled by Muzzie-wugs, but it damned well wasnt free.

        1. The exception isn’t the rule. By the way, Vietnam has moved well away from its communist roots.

        2. Problem is … we didn’t have the nerve to actually bomb Nam into the Stone Age … too many rock stars were singing songs of Peace … and climbing aboard VietCong tanks.

          1. Nixon did bomb the crap out of Hanoi. It was called Linebacker 2. They took the kid’s gloves off and used B-52s, with support packages of F-111 and F4s bombing airfields and SAM sites. The North Vietnames promptly returned to the negotiation table and agreed to a cease fire, etc. Of course as soon as the US left the North Vietnamese resumed invading the south. Democrat-controlled congress prevented Nixon from redeploying forces and South Vietnam fell. Democrats again betrayed an ally. This is how we got boat people in Canada.

    2. And, then he took his strong ‘anti-imperialist’ (anti-western) bias, and ran full tilt to those noted unimposing ‘humanists’, the Soviet Union, where they remained a de-facto client state for decades, under the watchful eye of the hopelessly corrupt and retrograde Gandhi dynasty.. Whatever..

    3. I feel like bombing Iran into the stone ages and letting it rot is a perfectly fine and likely good outcome. Sure some terror camp might spring up in the rotting corpse but you just send a few cruise missiles into it to clear it out.

    4. Yes, America went into Asia during ther Korean War to stop Communism.

Let’ see how that turned out
USSR and all its satellites totally gone
Vietnam and China have booming stock markets.

That leaves one “Communist” country: The Hermit Kingdom of North Korea – total repression with massive poverty and nuclear bombs. Wow, what a Communist success story.

Oh, India? Booming stock market and Socialism thrown in the dumpster.

Yeah, America in Asia – total failure.

    5. 35,000 murdered Iranians resent the imposition of an apocalyptic Theocratic Dictatorship.

      1. Agree.
If there’s going to be a ceasefire or agreement of any type, It should include the changing of the guard in Iran. I doubt the Iranian Gov’t will hold to a ceasefire and think the USA/Israel should be prepared for when the Iranians go back on their word.

    1. Respect for the individual was a Christian invention, although I think classical Stoics also had this sentiment.

  7. What has been astonishing is the depths these scumbags will delve to simp for the lowest, most degenerate filth on the face of endeavors, if nothing else, just to watch these shit weasels squirm as they have to walk back their nauseating virtue-signalling on behalf of some of the worst regimes imaginable, and realizing that the internet never forgets.. Trumps new ultimatums to our alleged allies will come in a close second, he has a lot of scores to settle with those near-sighted fools.. and you can bet the farm he aims to collect..

    1. Read: “What has been astonishing is the depths these scumbags will delve to simp for the lowest, most degenerate filth on the face of the of the Earth. I truly wish Trump the best of luck in his endeavors, if nothing else, ..”

  8. DeMarxists, other Trump haters and TDS afflicted souls will never understand Trump, for two main reasons:
First, Trump tailors his words to his intended audience, whether it be Joe & Mary Sixpack, or the mad mullahs.
Second, he has nothing directly to say to the swamp swillers, yet those ignoramuses think they can read his mind.

Imho, that is why the main reason they miscalculate and underestimate him time and time again, their ignorance of him interpreted as his limited intellect, who like the mullahs are reduced to projecting themselves on Trump, when history around him has proven again and again he plays cunning chess while they play collectivist checkers.

    1. I think it is just the WTI quoted contract month changing from May to June …. the same thing happened to Brent earlier.

      1. opps I guess there is a 2 week open the strait period & cease fire …. I just saw it on BNN Bloomberg

  9. I would suspect that the US will be using BLU-114/B over BLU-117 bombs on the power plants, since it’s unlikely that Iran has a large supply of spare fuses and/or the ability to black start their power plants.

  10. I was concerned that Trump miscalculated and Iran would end up looking like the winner. I will be very happy to be wrong on this one. If regime change happens I’ll be more than happy serve myself a big piece of crow.

  11. Serbia: It was the only air campaign in history where we were trying to bomb a country into submission without hurting anybody. The bombing was done at night. They also put civilians on bridges to avaoid them getting blowed up. They used human shields.
