A day after the International Olympic Committee banned biological males from competing in women’s sports events, Alberta NDP Leader Naheed Nenshi rejected applying the international sports organization’s standards to Alberta.
While speaking to reporters on Friday, Nenshi dismissed the idea of applying sex-based protections to youth athletics, calling it “ridiculous” to require biological verification for girls’ teams at the local level.
To be fair, the Alberta NDP have bigger problems right now.

While stumping for her first provincial election I was sitting 15 feet away from Danielle Smith in a senior’s home in Raymond listening to the song & dance. Questions opened & one of the parents expressed concern about her daughter possibly having to play sports against a biological male. Danielle’s response? In a nutshell, she had no issues w/ biological males competing w/ biological females and if the mother was concerned, then she should spearhead a females only league.
Curious, ’cause that’s what I thought we already had.
Two things you need to know about Raymond & the surrounding area: They take their sports very seriously and most of the populace is very conservative Mormon. Those who are not Mormon are conservative, too.
This little factoid, along w/ Smith’s crossing of the floor from Wild Rose, is why I will never trust her. Her feet need to be held to the fire 24/7/365.

Despite what good she has been doing, Smith comes across as way too naive. She can’t seem to figure out the basic “this is why you do” and “this is why you don’t.”
A party leader who crosses the floor will always have an uphill battle to gain my trust. Her current dancing with Marx Carnage isn’t helping.

The most obvious outcome has been the weaponization of altruism, tolerance, empathy and compassion. Laudable when practiced personally; toxic when politicized.
There’s a difference between law & legislation – laws govern behavior, legislation seeks to diminish our rights and freedoms and hand them over to special interest groups.
