Boris Johnson’s Britain

Where the foxes caper unmolested, the government packs your school lunch and “THE USE OF FIREARMS MUST BE A LAST RESORT.”

On July 3, 2022, the Special Air Service (SAS) was sent into one of the most dangerous places on earth. Its soldiers were on a mission whose existence was and officially remains top secret.

The goal was to defeat Isis.

That night in the desert of Syria, they were tasked with capturing the leader of a terrorist cell. They swept through enemy terrain towards their target.

In the dark, five soldiers came under fire. They made a decision. Believing their lives to be in danger, they pursued the two enemies in view and shot them dead.

The SAS inspected the site. Local intelligence confirmed their target was among the bodies. They returned to their convoy and disappeared into the night.

An initial review cleared the men, finding they had acted in self defence. But all was not as it seemed. What happened next would plunge the SAS into crisis.

First, allegations of civilian casualties started to appear online. Then the director of Britain’s special forces referred the soldiers to police. Within days, the men who pulled the trigger would be arrested, several while on duty on secret bases in Syria and Iraq. Others had their homes raided. All were placed under investigation for double murder, meaning they faced life in prison.

Yet 48 hours after being questioned, they were sent back to the battlefield, parachuting out of helicopters to conduct raids behind enemy lines in the same lawless area of Syria.

Three years of limbo followed. Soldiers faced the psychological pressure of heading into battle while the spectre of life in prison hovered over them.

Last year, the men were cleared, but with the caveat that the case could be reopened at any time.

The fallout has sparked existential questions about the future of the unit, for decades the perceived crown jewel in Britain’s military capability. Today the SAS is losing more experienced soldiers than ever before. Just as Britain faces an era of global conflict, the systems supposed to protect its special forces — and maintain their accountability — have been cast in doubt.

For the past four years, secrecy has shielded those at the top of the chain of command from scrutiny. Insight, the Sunday Times investigations team, has gathered witness testimony, leaked documents and open-source intelligence, meaning the full story can be told for the first time.

  1. This is where all the officers of the regiment are meant to resign their commissions. You send men into battle, but then threaten them with jail if they shoot anyone? For real? And it goes on for years?

Yeah, sure. I resign, f- you.

But here we are, and I notice that there has been no word of mass resignations from the British military. There have been no generals who threw their sword on the ground, dropped their dress uniform jacket on top of it and walked away.

So anyone still thinking the honor of the regiment and of the the very nation itself means anything at all, wake up.

  2. lve warned the kids of my friends for the longeswt time to STAY AWAY FROM the Cdn military as a career.
then something like this pops up and they have no answer.

  3. Is this what you get from generals without balls? Both born without balls or atrophied? Every general in the chain of command should have said, “This isn’t happening to my guys.” Pathetic pieces of shit.

When Canada held a court martial for a Canadian officer for shooting a Taliban, they selected the court martial panel from Defence Headquarters in Ottawa with nobody having combat experience. He was found not guilty because they weren’t sure the officer hadn’t murdered a dead man. But then they cashiered him for conduct unbecoming for shooting a dead man. More pathetic pieces of shit.

  4. also this:

oh ya. we’se got a LOONNNGGG history of pillorying our military heroes so here it is again SDA, tell ALL your friends to tell their kids to steer the h-e-hockeysticks AWAY from the notion of ANY form of career in the military. ‘and its only going to get worse’

  5. The United States should conquer Britain, deport all the immigrants, and make it into a zoo/learning museum, where people can learn about the history and fall of British culture.

  6. “THE USE OF FIREARMS MUST BE A LAST RESORT.”
This is a policy what led to retroactively charging UK servicemen of crimes during “the troubles” in Ulster

  7. Lemme say this about that.

There are few generals today that care much about the soldiers under their command.
Yeah, they will say all the right things, then they become warm and fuzzy with a long winded explanations why not to do this or that.
Being indoctrinated in woke, they probably want the soldiers in action to say to the other poor bastards, hey don’t shoot, whadya think this is a war or something?
Make no mistake, the generals and other hi ranks are the wokest people on the planet.

You see, the way it is you gotta decide, do we want an army or not.
If not, shut it down, just keep few around to keep the locals in line if they get out of hand.
If yes, you got to arm them up to their teeth and tell them that there is better chance than not to kill the other sombitches that were forced to want to kill you.

    1. “There are few generals today that care much about the soldiers under their command.”

Dead on. The Somalian report said the same thing about Canada’s officer corps 30-odd years ago. It noted that a disturbingly large chunk of the commissioned ranks was composed of carreerists, who had no concern at all about the welfare of the troops.

And if you scanned the upper echelon today, you wouldn’t conclude that things have changed … at least not for the better.

  8. I kind of like the “you first” guideline. Firearms are so bad – no person tasked with protecting a politician is allowed access to firearms. Let us see how that works out.

    1. It’s perfectly fine to off the preborn, elderly, mentally ill or anyone else deemed a useless eater. Off an enemy combatant and the line is crossed. You just can’t hate libtards, leftists, socialists and communists enough.

  9. No man with honor should serve in the militaries of Britain, France or Canada.
These countries have become dishonorable and need to implode.

    1. l got KICKED OFF a transit bus for DARING to tell the driver someone was waving a RETINA BURNING

l pounded the rear door as the bus passed. l can hit REAL HARD too.
2 months later l told a new tenant who FAKED a claim that ‘by remarkable coincidence HE happened to be on the bus’, recollected it but didnt recognize me right away, AND BACKED UP A FORMAL COMPLAINT ASSERTING HE WITNESSED THE EVENT. l still remembered the date & time, so the Transit authority TRACKED DOWN THE DRIVER and disciplined him.
the ‘punch line’ to this one delights me.

  10. fwiw l just spent the last hour plus, copying, pasting the articel into Wordpad, tidying it up,

  11. I recall the time the SAS tracked down 2 IRA gunmen in Gibraltar back in the day and killed them both in broad daylight.

Then there was the Iranian embassy siege where the SAS were quietly instructed not to take prisoners and they didn’t.

Those days are long gone, it seems.
