        One thought I have which will be ignored is to have a reserve police force which is required to provide one or more handgun and one or more semi-automatic rifle.

        The tax-payer subsidized jornolithp shared its sympathy:

    4. Well not really….what it shows however is that people need to start paying attention to the politicians closest to their jurisdictions. The worst ones are school board elections where virtually nobody knows anything about anyone running….and of course, in cases like that, the left (because they either have nothing else to do or are public “servants”) carries the day because the population isn’t paying attention. But, this stupidity was put in place by that idiot Gondek who got her ass handed to her.

    2. I have worked with guys who are born and bred Calgarians. They recall catching the bus to school, their .22 rifle in hand. They would store their rifle in thwir locker for the day, then take the bus back to the outskirts of the city amd go shoot gophers for the farmers. They would turn in the tails to the farmer and he would pay them cash, they would have spending money after paying for their refreshed ammo.

      That WAS the Calgary of old.

      Under Spendshi/Gyoti, their was a hard yank to the left(started a long time before then, TBH) with Blue Ring and Twin Tower art projects and “The Emergency Act” for the CV19 fake game to “signal” their loyalty to their handlers. Made up crisis and aligning the “fear” they are manufacturing makes the sheeple maliable and controlable. The huge influx of compliant immigrants has made pushback impossible to the schemes of the Elite.

      Hardly anything left of the cowboy/oilman mentality of old.

  9. The City says it’s on traditional Blackfoot lands. Will the T’su T’ina have something to say? They’re not part of the Blackfoot Confederacy. Their res is on the SW corner of the city.
    So in making bull shit land acknowledgements, the city cannot even get it right who it “stole” the land from.

  12. Reading through the comments it appears as though this policy was a holdover from the Gyoti Gondek administration, and just hasn’t been formally removed yet….someone claimed to have spoken there recently without any knowledge of such a requirement.

    Funny how it never got mentioned years ago, though.
