Well … we white folk culturally appropriated surfing form the native Hawaiians who used Stone Age tools to fashion 300lb surfboards from the native koa trees, so they could enjoy some recreation when not foraging for food. Right? And I’m certain the “surf sound” was lifted from Don Ho’s ukulele tunes or something. We owe it all to some brown people … right?

          I don’t know why liberals refuse to grasp that cultural features migrate around the planet, evolve, are adapted and adopted. If it’s cultural isolation they want, then why import 20 million immigrants from the 3rd world? And why travel? That most of all should be verboten.

    2. I remember this song. As a 14-year-old starting out on a house construction crew in the summer, on the way to work, the song would come on our AM radio. But the head boss would frown and swear, and would switch radio channels.

    CBC News and the Globe and Mail buried the 84,000 job loss story far down their respective internet news pages. CTV news gets the story right, featuring the story along with more families using food banks (see link above). Prepare for a big time econnomic recession.

    1. Perhaps, it has much less to do with COVID and technology, and much more that people are getting tired of being condescendingly preached to, to indoctrinate us with their “progressive values” through poorly written scripts that are not entertaining?

      Add to that, content marketed at children, that evangelize ideologies that are not suitable for children of that age.

      A-listers aren’t helping with their public demands that their viewers must support their shallow ignorant political views. People looked up to actors when they were more mysterious and didn’t command us to follow their edicts they often don’t follow themselves.

      I’m still expecting the CBC to come out with a children’s show called, “Queer Eye for the Little Guy”! 🙁

    Two Mooslims have been arrested and charged in the murder of a former Iranian-Canadian professor and noted dissident, Masood Masjoody, in British Columbia. The international community on YouTube (e.g. Tousi TV) are talking about it, but so far the Canatian media are not reporting on it. The above link is the only report I could find so far, from an Iranian dissident web site.

    Let’s see if the corporate media report this.Since the Torono based media are mostly pto-Iran (like Mark Carney), they may play the arrest down. But the murder could be an IRGC operation in Canada.
