Operation Empty Suit

“Trust us, we’d never lie to you.”

More than 30 soldiers based in Petawawa suffered frostbite injuries during a recent exercise in Alaska, prompting concerns about the quality of equipment military personnel are issued.

Soldiers contacted the Ottawa Citizen to complain that the Canadian Army was trying to cover up details about frostbite injuries to more than 60 troops who took part in “Exercise Global Resolve” in February. A number of frostbite cases were extremely serious, the soldiers added.

  1. You have got to love how authentic his words are ! They should use this for recruitment inspiration.

    1. Pentagon: “Mr. President, the Canadian Army might invade America.”

      Trump: “Call the police.”

    1. Only FILTHY LIBERALS talk like they have Tourette’s because they lie constantly and these people aren’t bright, they’re Ex-Bright©
Someone Kick him, I think he is skipping. A-Oo A-OO

    1. As if. No love for bankers, but at least they possess competencies. Carney was and is a bureaucrat.

  2. Carney has preserved his plausible deniability … having not said anything derogative about the diversity of Canadian Muslims … which is Canada’s strength. Phew! That was a close one. He almost got sucked into the reactionary Islamophobia of the far right. Skillful evasion of the media’s trick question, eh?

  3. Interesting, my news feed was just updated with the recent Maple leaf game, they finally won a game, but nothing on our military being attacked. It’s almost like the media is waiting to be told what to write about the attack

  4. The fish rots from the head.
It doesn’t matter if he’s the only spokesman for the gov’t, or one of a million, he’s the one in charge, and when the energy and breadbaskets of the nation separate, he’ll be in charge and forever he’ll be blamed.

I didn’t read the entire article, only the X/Twitter blurb, so it appears again that when he’s asked “why was this so” he has responded with, “we’re all good” and at no point was the original question, “are they all good?” and maybe that’s the sort of thing that’s wrong with schools in general in Canada today.

The teacher asks what’s 5+2 and the student responds with “we’re all good” … and that’s a stellar response, Worth full points.

  5. Was the government even aware that Canadian Troops were attacked, until someone in the media brought it up?

Did someone just mail a report and it finally arrived?

  6. How could anyone possibly expect the Canadian government to know how to outfit troops for cold weather?

  7. I’m surprised the US Army still allows the CAF to train on their soil considering it’s recent cooperation with the PLA.

  8. We should be honoured by this.
After all, we now have our own Hillary!
    “What difference does it make?”
    He’s such an insufferable Twit.

  9. Colt Canada is getting more money from the government, it’s just payback for participating in the Gun Confiscation Scheme

    1. With the original contract to supply, and this contract to remedy, for the benefit of a few jobs at Colt Canada, it’s becoming a more premium rifle with he passing of each year.
I do think the Tikka/Sako group in Finland is fully capable of supplying without a rebuild, another example of insisting on it being “Canadian built” for a #Librano news headline.
      uff.

    2. Colt Canada likely built exactly what the government told them to build. If it doesn’t work that’s on the people who wrote the specs. If this were not the case Colt Canada would be correcting their error.

  10. far out. allow me to share, SDA, after 6 decades of watching Otta’was’, TWO PMs in a row
