   at this point, that may be more of a hope than anything.

5. This one is going to land heavily outside the borders of the US. As an example I’d mention Abdirashid Duale as the current CEO of Dahabshiil Money Transfer. In case you aren’t familiar, that transfer business is headquartered in Somalia. They have a limited number of locations in the US, but you’ll find them all where ever Somali immigrants have placed down roots. Minneapolis, alone, has three such main branches within walking distance of the Somali neighborhoods. Incidentally, Abderashid Duale holds the distiction of being the richest man in Somalia (we’re talking Billions US). For a money transfer service, that’s quite the haul.

   You will, also, find a branch in Dublin, Ohio and another in San Diego (also, locations were Somali immigrants put down roots). Additionally, the TSA whistleblowers have testified that Somali immigrants were doing cash runs via international airlines three times a week out of Minneapolis using suitcases to move Millions with each run. I’m going to guess that most went through places like Antwerp.

   In short, some domestic banks were likely not scrutinizing as they should, but a vast bulk was likely (and still is likely) being laundered overseas in questionable financial institutions before moving through land investments.
