  1. Another Traitor.
He has NO HOPE of being re-elected, as a LIEberal in Alberta, though it is an Edmonton area riding. The history, except for Strathcona, is Conservative.
    His pre-political career? Teacher…….
What a stupid move, by a csucker that won’t be “in government” for too long.

  2. Matt Jeneroux is an ACTUAL traitor – to the people who voted for him. Isn’t it ironic how the usual suspects dare call everyone else in Alberta a traitor … everyone, that is, who believes in freedom & prosperity.

I trust you’re not surprised that he has locked down his X.com page. I actually didn’t know it was legal for a Canadian politician to lockdown their social media pages.

  3. You gotta wonder what Carney and the Libranos have on the traitors… Three in the last few months? This is smelling more like a blackmail operation than anything else. I wouldn’t put anything past the Conman in his pursuit of a majority, be it ever so disgustingly evil. The man is a classical high-functioning psychopath after all.

    1. I believe the ChiComs have an vault, with infinite resources of one type or another, open and free for the Liberals to use at their discretion, provided,,, a “seat” is bought, and power control is maintained.

    1. Canadian MPs might as well admit to the current arrangement :

      1. Get voted in by pretending to be loyal to whatever party will get you elected
      2. Auction yourself and your vote to the highest bidder after the election
      3. Take the auction money and retire before facing the voters you betrayed

Am I missing anything? Have this many MPs betrayed their voters in such a short time frame in Canadian politics?

  4. Once again we see the failure of the Westminster Parliamentary System in Canada. Voting in this system is a pointless exercise, a charade of democracy. The person you vote for can completely betray your vote without consequences. Prairie votes don’t matter anyway in federal elections since the winner is decided before votes are counted in Alberta and Saskatchewan but floor crossing is further proof that citizens votes don’t really matter in Canada.

    Independence fixes this.

    1. Well, I thought I would comment but LC has pretty much said everything that needs to be said.

In 40 years of voting, my vote may have made a difference once!!!! Maybe twice!!!

Now, this goes to show that, no matter what, my vote is a worthless waste of time.

      What a POS.

      INDEPENDENCE NOW!!!!

      1. It’s proof that Canada is run by a colonial government.
It started after the French defeat on the Plains of Abraham when they kept all the civil servants in place in Quebec instead of cleaning house.
The rot continued and here we are.

      2. Yes. Imagine a new country of Alberta and Saskatchewan where:

        – elected politicians are accountable to voters
        – the Constitution actually protects citizen’s rights
        – 99.9% of taxes go towards taxpayer’s interests instead of foreign governments, international agencies, corporate welfare, bureaucratic empire building, etc.
        – taxes are lower because citizens aren’t supporting everything in the bullet point above
        – community safety is the primary concern for the legal system
        – sane immigration

There’s others but a new independent country could correct the mistakes we see in the Canadian system of government.

  5. So he’s confirmed that he’s a politician.

    Call me shocked…..

    To paraphrase

“Mr Ryan I’m a politician, that means in the morning I’m kissing babies, and the afternoon I’m stealing their candy”

  6. The Hunchback of Voter Shame claims another victim.
What’s yellow and hangs below Mark Carney’s belt buckle? Jeneroux’s necktie.

  7. Reminds me of the old joke: Guy jokingly asks a girl if she would sleep with him for a million dollars. After some hesitation, “Yes, I probably would”, she replies.
“How about ten dollars?”, he says.
“No way, what kind of girl do you think I am?”, she says huffily.
To which he says “We’ve already established that, we’re only negotiating the price.”

  8. Matt Jeneroud: I want to be clear there was no coercion …

    How about inducements, Matt?

He’s in Redmonton so he might survive.

  9. The problem is not the Parliamentary system, MPs are elected as representatives of their Riding, NOT as representatives of their Party. The problem is that the parties are no different, being agents of the Uniparty. Just like a Harlem Globetrotters versus Washington Generals basketball game. Independence will not change that.

    1. After experiencing the corruption of the Canadian system of government, I doubt an independent Alberta would continue with that system. Create something new or adopt a better system. There’s nothing in the Canadian system of government that is worthy of replication. It’s rotten and rancid from top to bottom.

      1. Yes. The American Republican type of government isn’t that great but it’s better than all the rest combined.

  10. If I was retarded, I’d be surprised.
And if I still cared, I’d be bothered.
And if it mattered, I’d be upset.
But it doesn’t matter because the place is a fcking joke.

  11. Xi Jinping recognizes the reality that Canada isn’t so much blessed with a uniparty in same way as the US but by a natural governing party bolstered by a shrinking but reliably rabid NDP, and a permanently cowed Conservative party that plays, in futility, “me too” politics in a desperate attempt to woo the mindless mushy middle more focused on free stuff provided on a level even the cowed Conservatives can’t stomach. His strategy is to sprinkle his well-intimidated diaspora candidates in both parties to be used when and how strategically required and directed but consistently deployed to reinforce the party that looks the other way and grovels like true vassals should.

  12. Well what do we know?
An “honest” member of the Uni-Party.
A brilliant move by Little Lord carney, this cute little piece of backstabbing should really help out the Independence movement.

So who does Matt Jeneroux now represent?
He is the “representative” of an Edmonton riding that opposed the elbows up crowd, that supports real trade and believes in the human rights and freedoms of individual citizens..who has jumped ship.to a party which is opposed to all of these things..

Remember that Monty Python skit “Blackmail”.
Time to very closely examine this “MP’ ..He is dirty,we just don’t know how yet..But the PMO does.

  13. This is so maddening. I’m sure the good people of River Bend meant to vote in a Lieberal and King Carne is simply correcting this mistake

  14. However, it doesn’t matter because Kanada is a Bureaucratic Dictatorship. The unelected and unaccountable snivel servants rule over us. Except for private members bills, they write all legislation to be compatible with government policies.
If you take a problem to your MP or to a particular minister you get referred to a particular bureaucrat. It’s that bureaucrat you have to convince to help you.
Elections in the Lieberal Democratic Peoples Republic of Kanada are a farce. The elected politicians do not represent you, they represent the bureaucrats.

  15. Matt Jeneroux had a fine record in Alberta and Ottawa politics for the Right
    however, the writing was on the wall;
… an MP representing any district in Edmonton (TDS)
… plus living in Victoria BC (TDS)
… plus adoring Mark Carney’s Davos speech (TDS)

    He lost his mind.

  16. So Nova Scotia MP- opportunist and what has he done? moved from blue traffic cone to red traffic cone – salary and benefits close to $300,000 per year with little to none return.
Ontario MP – opportunist and CCP agent
Alberta MP – opportunist and traffic cone
These clowns are what the CPC ran – maybe they should investigate their candidates better. If after a couple of years they still haven’t done anything they should be set aside for someone that is more than a placeholder.
