Republicans failing to achieve that will be a great way for them to set up losing the house come November which will allow Dems to impeach Trump!

The full House doesn’t vote on contempt charges. Only the committee issuing the subpoena has to do that. Which means it’s Comer’s responsibility. Then, there are a few options if it passes. They can refer to the DOJ for prosecution of a Federal misdemeanor subject to fines and up to one year in prison. They can pursue Civil Enforcement in Federal Court, which takes forever. Or, there is another process called Inherent Contempt that gives Congress the ability to arrest and detain. But, that is never used despite the opportunity. Of course, when the left gets back in power, they will certainly dust it off and apply ad nauseum.
