Vote counts may take longer than usual, now that electronic vote counting has been removed a candidate has to wait until the votes are actually counted rather than “knowing” that there are sufficient votes dialed in…

An ok winner for Calgary mayor, my first pick last time, but not this time. Mostly good, count as a win.
And the winner in my ward, by 2:1 over my pick ( in second place) is someone who has no yard signs in my neighbourhood. Hmm. WUWT?
The good news was that the scanner/tabulators were gone. All paper ballots.
My choices were in the top two or three. The council winner in my ward is acceptable for now. The new mayor lost my support when he came out as an idiot land-acknowledger.
