1. As I have posted previously, I am a HUGE history and geography nerd. NATO is past its “best by” date and should have been folded when Canada and the Europeans stopped paying their 2% of GDP contributions. If I was the Americans, I would be fed up as well.
   On another note, I also think that the United Nations should be re-evaluated/re-organized. Currently, it is a group of grifters (Africans, Arabs, Russia, China and all) who are like little dogs who like to yap a lot, but actually do not accomplish much other than to poop on the floor. I especially find it ironic that the worst abusers of women’s rights are in charge of various United Nations’ organizations dealing with women. I think that President Trump was right to disengage from all of the organizations which he did over 2 weeks ago. They can collect money from the remaining countries – if they can.
   I am 74 and based on family history, expect to live another 7-10 years. I doubt much will happen with these 2 organizations. I am currently reading Malcolm Gladwell’s new book “Revenge of the Tipping Point”. In it he details how things can suddenly change based on the zeitgeist of the times. We shall see.

3. What are those things that the doctor puts on your chest when he is trying to revive your heart? That is Donald Trump to NATO. There has been (bigly) talk by EU members and the UK on increasing their military budgets to 5% of GDP yet they face unprecedented deficits paying for the effects of illegal migration and homeless drug addiction. Never mind government pension obligations.

   Trump doesn’t want Greenland. It’s 95% frozen ice and the land not covered is occupied by First Nations and government bureaucrats from Denmark. Who will mine the rare earth minerals? Trump is trying to save Europe from itself. I wish him well. And BTW the defibrillator battery is dead.

      The local leadership of Greenland was only stopped a few years ago from allowing China to build an airfield there, in a Belt and Road type arrangement, by Denmark stepping in.

      With Canada increasingly becoming a China satellite Greenland is geographically imperative for US national security.

5. Much of Europe is no longer worth defending, given their fascistic speech censorship practices and the suicidal importation of millions of hostile invaders. Good riddance NATO. American taxpayers for the win.

   NATO is plainly just stupid.
   So of course Liberals will pooch our NORAD position and prop up NATO – because they hate Canada and Canadians.

8. If the US is ready to clear eyed see that NATO is effectively done, and the EU is little more than Lilliput— then taking Greenland is vital. Just as vital is that bit between Alaska and Greenland. Seems like everyone has been put on notice that needs to be put on notice.

      But that’s okay. European NATO is more than capable of defending itself from potential enemies, the only credible one right now being Russia. And without the US, European NATO will likely increase its military spending, which isn’t a bad idea for some of its members, including Canada.

9. NATO is one of the most successful treaties in the history of the world. Not a single NATO country has had an enemy military on their soil. That’s 76 years of continuous peace in western Europe, an astonishing figure given its bloody history.

   1. Funny that the US has to monitor the children in Europe, isn’t it? And it wasn’t NATO that held back the Soviet Union….it was nukes, pure and simple. NATO funding overwhelmingly comes from the U.S. Europe can’t defend itself.

10. NATO had its uses. Originally to keep the USSR at bay and control the Germans. After the wall fell it suffered years of decrepitude as Europe let their defence budget sink, but it had its uses as a US protection racket: Nod your heads and sign up for every “coalition of the willing” scheme the US comes up with and we will look the other way at your mooching. That’s how we got the Yougoslavia mess, Lybia and a bunch of other episodes of the war that never ends. NATO showed its uselessness in Afghanistan. It has now morphed into the armed wing of the globalists. I mean go read their mission statement. What the hell is NATO doing knocking at Ukraine’s door?
