    1. New system starting to show bugs? I can easily see some huge thing like that screwing up in a non-obvious way that nobody knows how to fix. It’ll take them a while to chase down the issues.

  1. So you think the refrigeration story is BS. Fine. Now get off your arses Mr. Foodprofessor et al and find out what the real story is.

    1. Well, the real story is, I can’t seem to get my arse out of this chair. But I’m a bit reluctant to get that into print.

    2. Couldn’t possibly be anyone getting prepped (ordering up) for a manufactured “Food Crisis” in a major metropolitan area, of course.

  2. As a long time grocery store manager… BS on the “refrigeration failure.”

    Especially at the distribution center.

Multiple repair companies on call 24/7. Backup compressors in crates ready to go…

Can call up an army of refrigerated trailers within an hour.

Someone high up screwed the pooch.

    1. Assuming it’s not a problem with either the Scada or all the individual control boards, that leaves a transformer issue, which would give you a long timeframe.

      1. Yeah, those buggers keep turning into cars and running away on you. Oh, wait, different transformer issues, sorry.
