  1. oil.
from rotted dinosaur guts l was told.
how did all those dinosaurs, billions of them it would seem, wind up so deep in the ground between non porous layers of rock at the same time?
    let me consult an ‘expert’

    1. Guessing the order of Nelson Muntz will soon be bestowed. B.P. still has a 47% share.
B.P. does not produce Top Tier fuel so I’m still in “No soup for you” mode. This also will put price pressure on shale oil. I imagine this is bad news for Canada.

    2. Saturn’s moon Titan, has seas of methane / natural gas on the surface, and it’s not all that warm in its atmosphere either.

I don’t know how long ago the dinosaurs lived on Titan, nor of their algae / plant life, nor does anyone who works for the UK Labour Gov’t.
On earth, there has been core samples of granite brought up which has oil imbedded in it, and granite was formed on this planet prior to the dinosaurs or plant life existing on earth. So if anyone working for the Gov’t of the UK (or tier 2 Canada) could explain how this is fossil fuel, it would be super helpful to everyone involved.

      1. you got it marc, despite the organic process of swamp gas, all the rest of it came about from *geological* processes and why not? if the constituent elements are present, hydrogen (the most abundant element in the universe, l suspect more by weight than all the rest combined) and carbon and whatever else oxygen? WHEREVER these coexist be it 100 km deep? start the clock, turn on the heat and pressure and voila!
when l spoke of this in friggin senior GRADE SCHOOL it was a lesson in ‘follow the narrative, get on the bandwagon, shut up dummy’. my high functioning autism has protected me from the side effects of a society stuck on stupid since.

  2. In the UK, Ed Milibrand’s nickname is “Ed Zero.” There are few people so devoted to the Net Zero nonsense than he is. Back when Blair was running the UK, Ed flat out stated that he was a “proud socialist.” In addition to all that, Ed Zero has a reputation for being a pseudo-intellectual.

That’s not the guy you want in charge of your Energy Department (Socialist, Eco-warrior, charlatan)

  3. Don’t be silly. There’s no business case for dirty, filthy, cancer-causing, fossil (DinoSAURS and dead plants) fuels. Ohhhhhhhhhh mommmmaaaaaaa …

  4. Government liars.

“The Government has continued to stand by this pledge, which is in line with the science of what is required to limit dangerous global warming.”

  5. Too bad as Norway is getting out of the fossil fuel industry. Or was that a lie?

    1. “Too bad as Norway is getting out of the fossil fuel industry. Or was that a lie?”

Oh, I’m sure they meant it when they promised it. But economic reality will soon slap them right in the face (if it hasn’t already).

  6. GB is looking more and more like Airstrip one in the novel 1984. The truth is what the Party says it is. The good news is that the monthly ration of 20 grams of chocate shall be increased to 15 grams next Tuesday.

    1. delightfully ironic the pivotal work written by a brit; aka YA GOT NO EXCUSE ISLAND NATION you were warned in 1949 and time and again the phenomenon has popped up and given you a raspberry which is ignored. you dumb shits are headed straight for the real thing. how *did* Eric Blair know? what insight was the man privy to?

  7. Oh and GBnews … I might be out of touch but I’d be more than surprised if the accompanying picture had anything to do with the subject.
For those interested the GBN picture was I believe originally the Dyvi Delta built around early 80’s and probably now re-invented as razorblades but who knows ?
I understand from associated blurb the exploration/evaluation was done by the Deepsea Stravanger a completely different beast.

  8. WTF? “Massive Oil field” – “Oil field operator Aker BP described the find as “significant”, saying it could yield 134 million barrels of oil.”

That is roughly 4/5 weeks of oil production in Texas or Alberta. Massive? Now, that’s funny.

The US produces 21 million barrels of oil and natural gas liquids a day – so 6/7 days. Massive?

    1. (psst, l think the author erroneously mixed up certain inside knowledge of a time when the oil is being extracted, when fer instance TURDeau’s EV mandate has kicked in and in full force; thus more than enough for the *remaining* i.c.e. vehicles on the road: elites, uber wealthy, those who know where the palms are needing grease, etc)
