  4. That is why you Canadians should probably vote for Pollievre. He is deeply flawed, and if he wins you may find this out. Then again, he may come to his senses and pull you out of your nosedive. However, Carney is a demon of the Screwtape variety, a bloody communist.

    That is why he would be more easily dealt with by us. And in many ways it would be a cleaner dealing — taking down a demon is at least noble; playing rough with Canadian Mitt Romney? Not as heroic.
    And yes, we would deal harshly Pollievre too, should he prove to be terminally foolish. But that is a maybe and not a given.

    What is also not a given is your western secession should Carney win. Some Canadians, judging from social media, seem to think that if the western states secede and go for independence that we Americans will come to their rescue militarily if need be. You need to disabuse yourselves of this fantasy as it makes no practical sense for us to do so. Canada was offered statehood and rejected it; that was the only path to our intervention.

    1. Trump is doing great within the us borders fixing problems there. Outside not so much . His aim for canada I belive is to break it up , if he is successful and aquires it you will regret it. Those of us in the west may join and may even support the republicans no guaranty . But the eastern parts, those you will regreat. He should have kept his mouth about canada shut untill after our election. PP would have won easily and america would have a much better ally in your corner, now maybe not. Right now all he did is piss off friends and foe alike.

      1. Did you listen to what my President said? Pollievre isn’t ‘his guy’ any more than Carney is. I have in the past day showed evidence of this. Harper, Bernier, Pollievre all voted for the FIPPA with China, which is the source of many of your present woes and our national security headaches (the Liberals voted with the Conservatives on this by the way, and they have taken great advantage of it to consolidate their power). We don’t really care if either of them wins; none of the outcomes of your elections is truly beneficial for us (your mileage may vary, but you really are choosing between horrible and maybe, possibly not so bad).

        You really would have been better off taking the offer; it was good for you at our expense but perhaps worth that expense in the long run if only to make you less of a thorn in our side, less of a threat — you’re rather like Greenland in that regard.

        Why should he have kept his mouth shut? To give you an easy time? Why? He doesn’t work for you. That also goes for abrading your sensibilities. Trust me, if that’s the thing you’re upset about you aren’t taking a good look at all the disaster going on in your own country created by your own government.

        No, we don’t want you, but we can’t allow China to turn you into a vassal state, which they’ve nearly succeeded in doing (they are so very close — it’s amazing that they can restrain themselves so well). Ideally it would have been far better if we did not all have traitors within our midst, but here we are. You have to play the cards you’re dealt.

          1. Foreign Investment Promotion and Protection Agreement (specifically between Canada and China, but there have been others; you had one with the USSR).

            You should look into it. There was a vote to not ratify it; that vote can be found and is quite interesting. Oh, and that agreement! It was choice!

            While you’re investigating, maybe you should look into Section 1 of your Charter of Rights and Freedoms, also quite interesting. Enjoy!

He knows the delusional autocratic Liberals will only hasten the disolvement of a once splendid nation, which enables him to pick up the desirable pieces as desperation sets in. He’ll cheer on an isolated Ontario and Quebec as they lambaste each other into perpetuity. The Maritimes will be a crusty tourist exhibit.

        4. So what’s your president’s plan if Canada does become a vassal state of China?
          I would imagine that letting that happen would make at least a few Americans quite skittish, and I’m talking about the real patriot, MAGA Americans.

    1. Acreage likely owned by a libtard Edmonton lawyer. When out at the acreage the owner goes around demanding the area farmers stop farming as it disturbs its peace and quiet.

    It seems Canadians would prefer their freedoms destroyed by Carney, than enhanced by Trump.

    So be it.

  8. Pierre Poilievre is the only possible choice in this election! Even if he wins the West with the Northern territories should immediate start proceedings to separate!!!!
    The Clarity Act must be started, Constitutional lawyers will be needed and more work than any normal election!
    It will be a fight because the power base in the East with Quebec will see their Equalization payments disappear!

    Knowledge must be given that pensions will be maintained and Life style with the strength of Strong Western Industries—–Oil , LNG, Pipelines, Agriculture, Mining, Logging, and New possible industries waiting (Canadian Light Source Synchrotron, etc.
    The West has been kept as prisoner too long!
    No one can give us Freedom in Canada ——we must do it ourselves!

  11. I totally agree with Black ,the book is largely unreadable. He speaks of humility but shows none. He is very fond of quoting a mishmash of “intellectuals ” in a non coherent manner in an effort to appear to be more intelligent and sophisticated than he ever will be. Scan through it and you will understand the peril we are in.

    1. A reader review gave all the evidence to void “values” as anything but a PhD’s attrmpt at publishing.
