3. I didn’t see anything about competence in that Blacklock summary. I suppose one can be incompetent while speaking two languages and somehow that is better than being incompetent but only speaking one language.

5. It’s because black people don’t speak French. The ones that do (not African American) speak French can’t speak English very well or at all. Stuck in a catch-22, get some Ivory Coast, Mozambique, or Haiti imports if you need frogs…but then you’re risking increased crime, etc. Get you sum Shaniqua’s and you risk low iq non French speaking (and not very well English speaking) “workers”

   1. The frogs ride over in Teslas now, flaunting their uniformly superannuated asses, every one of them is on the taxpayers dime. That said, i have been tempted to move there, just to cuck as many frenchie civil servants as I can. Easy work, and not at all unenjoyable.

         The Frogs don’t even call it the Ottawa River.
         They call it the Outaouais River.

7. Does anyone believe that this is a race issue? My husband and I were western Canadians by birth. Both of us had French language training in school, but it was parisian French, not our Canadian version.

   We were both barred from positions in the Ottawa federal public service by not being able to speak well enough. Hull felt like a foreign country. Canada cancelled a good program for westerners etc., as they had a year-long language program in about the 80’s, but we missed that.

   All western Canadians need French training, except maybe kids from French Immersion.

      Why would you be anything but grateful from being excluded from the federal civil service?

      Why would you encourage French training? It is a dead language, no where on Earth do the french reproduce, it is a dead language. 50 years from now it will not exist, like Japanese.

      Australians may be illiterate but I’ve never had any problem understanding them. French is French. If a French Canadian has problems understanding you it’s you not them. You probably sounded like John Diefenbaker.

   7. Look, they have a distinctive accent and idiom in Quebec. It’s not surprising if you go there and find you can’t understand them. But they speak French. If they can’t understand you, then you just aren’t speaking French.

      1. John Turner was elected to Parliament. As always, like it or not, the party picks its leader thus the PM if they win an election. Carney has never been elected to anything.

      First unelected dictator? How about Gerald Ford who was President from August 9, 1974 to January 20, 1977? An unelected President in office for almost 30 months.

      1. Gerald Ford WAS elected… as Nixon’s VP running mate. He was elevated to the presidency when Nixon resigned.
         Ford’s presidency was TOTALLY within the scope of the constitution.

         Stop trying to rewrite history.

            FYI … History

            Richard Nixon was first elected President in 1968. VP was Spiro Agnew.

            Richard Nixon was re-elected President in 1972. VP was Spiro Agnew.
            Spiro Agnew resigned in 1973.

            Gerald Ford was appointed VP in 1973 and became President in 1974 when Nixon resigned. He was not elected President.

               I doubt if dictators were elected to anything prior to becoming a dictator.
