“Orange Man Bad” Isn’t Going to Save Canadians

Please spend a few minutes to read the comments in this thread:

The vast majority of comments from Canadians appear to show a vast ignorance of reality or basic economics. While Trump and Musk and others are dynamically and furiously pulling America into the 21st Century+, most Canadians seem to be stuck in 1970.

  1. The outflow of capital from Canada is going to increase significantly. Already, Canadians invest MORE money in foreign countries (primarily the U.S.) than foreigners invest in Canada.

      1. Do you think that Carney won’t interfere with CPP and it’s already anemic returns to force it to invest in Canada?

    1. We have a large productivity gap with the US, its citizens enjoying a one-third higher standard of living (GDP/capita). Our productivity growth is now at or near zero, as the US outpaces us, and with Trump in office, that gap can only widen until the Liberals are replaced. If they, once again, convince Canadians they’re fiscal conservatives, this time literally by stealing CPC policies, Alberta will feel the irresistible pull of 51st statedom.

It’s the only part of Canada Trump really wants. Just kidding.

  2. Why would anyone invest in Canada while a better return can be gained in so many other countries, and without the regulations being sought by the #Libranos?
I think it’s best if AB/Sask. have referendums to exit from Canada, and begin negotiations with the US Admin to join as 2 states… to at least explore this possibility.

    1. I vote yes.

Team Canada still to this day wants everyone to buy Canadian, but the East can’t be bothered to buy Canadian oil.

I hope they enjoy the decline after we leave. Alberta, SK, have nothing to stay for.

      1. I am for Manitoba joining AB/Sask but I don’t have confidence. Maybe they don’t realize there will not be a $4 Billion transfer payment from Ottawa when AB/Sask leaves, might as well join them.

        1. Manitoba has been blessed with bountiful natural resources, rich soil (great agriculture) and being in almost the geographical center of North America, had a thriving manufacturing base over 100 years ago. Sadly, the quality of politician (both municipal and provincial) has been “less than special” and the politicians of the last 100 years have “pissed it all away”. Manitoba Hydro is a classic example – rich in abundant rushing water, the men who have run it have stolen all of the money in salaries and bonuses and have not kept up with good infrastructure. The only reason for keeping Manitoba would be Churchill as an international port.

          1. There is a provincial conservative candidate arguing for a new port and an explosion in mining to wipe out the deficit and debt and turn Manitoba into a “Have” powerhouse like Saskatchewan and Alberta.

    2. I’m having trouble buying the Western statehood idea because the demographics don’t support it. Half the population is in the cities, which are as loony left electorally as Toronto or Vancouver. Whatever route you think leads to US statehood, you’ll never get the votes from the urban centers. And the ROC won’t allow it to happen in any event.

      1. You may be right about the urban centers, but the ROC is powerless if it were to move forward. What are they going to do? Send the army? All 2,500 of them with almost no ammo?

    3. I’ve been waiting all my life for this but nothing has happened so I don’t see separation for Alberta and Saskatchewan as a possibility.

      1. People won’t vote for it and ROC won’t accept it even if they did.

If we had Venezuela style collapse then it could happen with or without consent. More likely we’ll just be facing a future in which we’re a northern Argentina and everything will be as it is now but poorer.

        1. This could all be avoided if the Liberals took the US concerns seriously.
          Beef up the border.
          Go after the drug labs.
Inspect cargo on ships, trucks and trains with a lot more frequency.
          Stop illegal immigration.
          Purge the foreign interference.
          The tariffs would disappear.
But that is hard, Liberals don’t like hard.
They want a tariff fight with Trump because then they don’t have to run on their record.
They are willing to throw Canadians and Canadian businesses under the bus instead of doing their job.
The Liberals are Canada’s enemy, not Trump.
And the naive people who are stupid enough to vote for them.

When Trump’s US economy goes through the roof with new investments and jobs, will Canadians be allowed to leave Canada for the US permanently or will we become another North Korea?

          1. That’s a good list. One other item: stop free-loading on US defence expenditure and commitment. And it’s really not that hard. But the Liberals would have to discard their delusions of taking control of provincial natural resources. And they would have to admit that Pierre Trudeau was an utter disaster as Prime Minister.

  3. Yes, Canada will be crushing itself.
David Rosenberg(?) commented on where this country could go.
Sub 60 cent dollar, 1% prime rate, AND it still might not help.
Depression coming because tEaM CaNaDuH !
This is still all about the Chicom infiltration of the Canadian government and the related fentanyl problem.
Oh, one more thing to add. In tonight’s LIEberal Infomercial, Freeland stated she wants nuclear weapons.
Nuclear Weapons. I just can’t comprehend the delusions that witch is under.

        1. At this moment in time, Polliver is likely your least bad option. He could perhaps be more reasonable than the rest from our point of view and something productive might happen or at least the decline might be managed a bit more easily. He’s not talking about imminent invasion or the possession of nukes, so there’s that.
Then again, if Canada goes with the Liberal option (most likely Carney) it will at least speed up the timeline with regards to your country’s collapse, and that could have benefits too. Freeland and Gould are absolute morons; they could cause the hard option to transpire, but it’s highly unlikely that they will gain traction. They are just there to set the narrative, relay the signal. That narrative isn’t a good one for you; it is a pita and a potential security threat for us.

The President works for the American people; it isn’t his job, nor America’s, to save Canada.

    1. Nukes…… Lol.
We are so screwed not just the Liberals but the Conservatives as well are grasping at straws when it comes to ideas to stem the bleeding.
I don’t think any Canadian leader has any real idea of what to do.
      Interesting times.

      1. It’s pretty simple!!
        Address their concerns:
        – the border, increase scrutiny on incoming ships, trains, trucks.
        – fentanyl labs
        – precursors for fentanyl
        – immigration
        – foreign interference by China/India
        It’s not rocket science.
        None of this is happening.
But to the Liberals, that’s hard work. They may have to spend $billions in Canada instead of Ukraine.
Plus they want to demonize Trump so they run against him and not on their record, and throw Canadians and businesses under the bus.
The Liberals don’t give a f*ck about Canadians.
The clowns out there; buy Canadian eh? Fools.
        What about putting Canada First?

        1. Exactly! What Trump wants (as you list above) would be beneficial to Canada as well. Do the political parties in Canada really want fentanyl labs and Chinese interference? It sure looks they they all do!

    1. Donnie just raped the Ukrainian Nazi state, and is in the process of dismantling the shithole in the North called “Canada” (which should really be called Eskimo-Mexico). That makes him Da Man!

      1. With all due respect… Wake up. Ukraine is textbook case of deep state corruption, CIA assisted in creating this. One day soon I hope the lid gets blown off this one finally.

        But OrAnGe MaN BaD.

        Wake. Up.

        1. President Musk is in charge of getting rid of corruption in America. Not a day goes by where he doesn’t expose another scam. So, yes the Ukes have corruption – lots of it but there is plenty to go around in every country.

        1. You just don’t want to see the old rules don’t apply any longer do you.
The West is so corrupt politically and culturally , we don’t get to look down on characters like Putin.
We don’t stand for much any longer that doesn’t involve money.
But you do you and keep hurling insults.
It doesn’t help anything and it sure isn’t going to help Ukraine.
The war that should have never started is about finished.

      2. “and is in the process of dismantling the shithole in the North called “Canada” (which should really be called Eskimo-Mexico).”

I kinda liked Gay North Dakota.

  4. nukes? THAT GODAM WITCH WANTS NUKES??????????
holy hannah doesnt she know in the MAD equation NUKES MAKE YOU A TARGET.
the hell on earth of nuclear war, those launching said civilization destroying gadgets WILL AIM EXCLUSIVELY AT THOSE OTHERS THAT POSSESS THEM. non-nuke powers are spectators. you have to hurl everything you got at *their* silos and air bases etc.

  5. Question: From Trump’s perspective, what’s the difference between Pee-pee, red dwarf, and the WEF stooge?

    Abswer: Not a goddamned thing.

    1. But there is a difference. Trump is not stupid.
Notice how they are cherry picking Poilivere’s policies in the leadership? All of a sudden they are for pipelines, but guarantee you until Quebec says no.
Pierre is not WEF. He’s outlawed them. You can only take his word until he proves not, has he?
Regardless there is no other choice at this point.
      He deserves a chance.
      We know the Liberals.
      We know the NDP.
PPC’s 2% will just let Liberals and Dippers slide in, in about 20 ridings.
Poilivere is the only one talking about drilling, pipelines, cutting immigration, Canada First, internal trade barriers, defunding media/CBC, but he faces the bought media that will never give him credit so the brainwashed viewer never see’s him in a positive light.
They’re going to demonize him like COVID in the next election.
This last poll putting the Liberals in front is pure manipulation and the paid for media pushing it hard. That poll was exclusive to Global with 1000 polled, showed Carney at 50% in BC. That’s bullshit.
Think COVID every time they talk about Poilivere, they are lying.

      1. A good effort, and I agree with your points here. But Jamie is too embittered and filled with rage to think rationally. Trying to discuss anything with him is a lost cause.

      2. “PPC’s 2% will just let Liberals and Dippers slide in, in about 20 ridings.”

Yes, and the CPC will once again learn NOTHING from those losses.

      3. Agree. PP is not perfect, but its going to be either him or Carnage, and given that choice I’ll take PP.

    2. “Question: From Trump’s perspective, what’s the difference between Pee-pee, red dwarf, and the WEF stooge?

      Answer: Not a goddamned thing.”

And he’s not wrong about that, sadly.

  6. What Canadians want for the future is of no concern to the Indo Pak Chinese minority who will soon be the majority. Canada as we knew it is dead in more ways that one yet old white Canadians still care. The future Canada is already here in places like Vancouver, Surrey, Brampton and Mississauga. While the future Canadians are busy tying us to South Asia both economically and culturally the Hindus, Muslims and Sikhs are all plotting how they are going to get the upper hand while we fret about a world that no longer exists.

    1. We’re becoming India/Pakistan in SK faster now than we were previously becoming China. It’s crazy. Stoon is nuts how radically different it has become in the past 10-15 years. It’s actually remarkable to think back (not that long ago) to the 2000-2010 time period and then look at today at how much the population demographics have changed. It’s startling if you preferred the “way things were” from 1905 through to the 2000’s…the last 10-15 years (at least in urban SK) have been turning shyteholey at an extremely rapid pace.

  7. The stupidity of Canadian voters is a serious problem.
    Likely an existential problem.

Love him or hate him but Max Bernier’s policies make sense.
    And he’s polling at 3%.
It’s impossible for a federal politician to make sense and also get elected in Canada.

  8. My sense is that a lot of Canadian voters are sniffing the opportunity for another pandemic style spending spree where the government will shower people with free stuff and maybe even pay them not to work again. The Libs are more likely to deliver on that than the CPC. We really are screwed if that happens.
