A friend who teaches at a university was complaining about students who always stand up in at least pairs with their smartphones pointed at the lecturer who demand who they support in the Middle East. Half of the time the “students” do not take that course. Most of those disrupting the classes only take one course a semester (so they can legally be on campus) and are typically mid-20’s to late 30’s and are either South Asian or Middle Eastern in appearance. I wonder who pays for that?
