  1. Meh, not that I’m rooting for Tampon Tim or anything, but these guys saying a Beretta A400 is not an upland gun are showing their ignorance. Beretta A400 (or many other semis) are fine for pheasant hunting. Yep, I like an over/under or SXS better, but semis are well used in the upland and sporting clays fields (which Timmy says he initially got the gun for). Now his handling of it looks like he hasn’t used it much…

    1. Much? So, I would think, if true, that he knows that going in. One might think an intelligent sort would practice with his (friend’s) Baretta for a few hours the night before so he wouldn’t look like an idiot. These people are not just dumb, they’re lazy.

    2. I had an old side by side but would have killed for a Browning auto loader. I could never convince myself it was worth it. No reason to believe one is better than another. People with too much money seem to use over/unders. I suspect they may be a little more accurate than a side by side.

      1. A semi auto feels like you are swinging a pig on a snow shovel, compared to an over under which is typically much better balanced. For some reason, a side by side swings nicer, but the over under is more accurate and is used by the great majority of target shooters including trap, skeet, and sporting clays.

But lots of people do use semi autos for upland game.
