The Long Island swimmer who was pulled out of the Atlantic Ocean after treading water for hours was reunited with the two fishing pals who helped save him.
Jim Hohorst, 63, and Michael Ross, 69, said on Wednesday they were out on their boat when they noticed a fishing pole with a shirt tied to it – and then discovered Dan Ho floating helplessly in the ocean.
“If it hadn’t been for that flag you were waving, we never would have spotted you,” Hohorst told Ho at the Bay Shore Marina. “It saved your life.”
Ho, 63, was completely “frozen,” suffering from hypothermia, and exhausted when the pair pulled him out of the ocean off Cedar Beach in Babylon on Monday.
We’re just frogs in their ocean.

I watched a few Shark Week docu-dramas. One treated a shark attack off Cape Breton as an unprecedented anomaly and speculated that we can expect more great whites in Canadian waters because of AGW. Not a word about the world record great white caught off the coast of PEI forty years ago.
The other one wondered why great whites were ‘all of a sudden’ showing up in tropical Indonesian waters. Their conclusion? As traditional great white waters along the south Australian coast heat up, competition is forcing the young’uns north into the tropics. But a perusal of shark attack files show us that great whites have always made more-than-occasional forays into the tropics.
I wonder how much of the budgets for these pseudo-science documentaries was contingent upon the producers using the AGW theme?
Jamie. Back in the day, a small shark was caught off North Sydney, Cape Breton. The fishermen who caught it, by accident, brought it home, kept it alive and it was displayed in a dory, in the parking lot of a local cab company. That was a long time ago, in fact much more than 40 years ago. . That sir is a fact.
the term ‘red flag’ comes to mind ie a warning flag. but it aint to warn about the common refrain but rather ummm well . . . figure it out.
Regarding the “red” weather map, they’ve been doing this ever since Jean Cretin spent two billion dollars to “prove” global warming.
It’s always been a scam, always a way to fleece the taxpayers and make the rich, richer.
Plus the rich don’t want you cluttering up their beaches and their favorite hot spots in the sun. So eventually you’ll need a special pass to travel even a few hundred kilometers from where you live in your tiny house, on your tiny guaranteed wage, eating your nourishing three meals a day, Soylent Blue in the morning, Soylent Red for lunch, and of course the ever nutritious Soylent Green for dinner.
You will be a number in the machine! You will like it! You will obey! After all you…are…. Canadian!!!!!!
If anyone uses the term ‘global warming’, correct them with the UN declared ‘global boiling’ and tell them to stop being a denier.
// According to a report from Livestrong about the effects of water temperature when swimming, water that is over 90 degrees Fahrenheit can lead to overheating and exhaustion.
“Warm water increases your body temperature, which also raises your sweat rate and quickens dehydration,” the report says. “Open-water swimming in warm climates can expose you to water temperatures that are too warm, which can cause muscle spasms and severe fatigue.”
This week, water temperature recorded at a buoy south of Miami recorded the water temperature at more than 11 degrees hotter than is safe for people to swim in, at 101.1 degrees on Monday evening. //

And you actually believe them, don’t you?
Fred , I spent many years on the Gulf side and never saw the temperature get anywhere close to what I would consider warm. Never mind the Atlantic side. The temp would go up about a degree a day or two in late March until it was pleasant enough to swim in. A nation of idiots.
Get the f out.
I guess he was not boiled.
Moderation?
What for this time?
