Why this blog?
Until this moment I have been forced to listen while media and politicians alike have told me "what Canadians think". In all that time they never once asked.
This is just the voice of an ordinary Canadian yelling back at the radio -
"You don't speak for me."

Glorious news comrades! The Great March to the perfect society exceeds even the expectations of our Illustrious Leader.
As a reward, Little Potato will increase your weekly bug ration from 50 grams to 45 grams!
Our politicians same regard as they consider our Military in Canada.
Ignored to let it take care of itself…unless pressed by outside sources.
This is a subject that I’m unfamiliar with so I wanted more information:
“The index is mainly based on the total port hours per ship call — the amount of time that elapses from when a ship reaches port limits to when it departs from the berth having completed its cargo exchange.”
“The report underlines how North American ports, especially those on the West Coast, have struggled mightily with increased imports from Asia. The Port of Vancouver also suffered from major outages on the railways that connect the port to the rest of Canada, as wildfires and flooding in B.C. restricted or shut down movement to and from Vancouver.”
“On the East Coast, the Port of Halifax had a much better year, ranking 46th overall. Saint John placed 240th, while Montreal — which experienced a strike by port workers last summer — was ranked 311th.”

Strikes, poor infrastructure and bad weather seem to be the problem.
Very good find, LC. I suggest poor infrastructure to be most of the problem. It would appear that infrastructure has completely failed to keep up with WTO shifting trade towards Asia. This may be why some shipping is being rerouted through the Panama Canal to Atlantic ports.
Canada continues its shitstain spiral down the cowardly Marxist toilet while good meaning Canadians cower and complain and do absolutely nothing.
It’ll run much more smoothly when China takes control of the port facilities.
Trample them with horses!
Where are the sniper teams and UN rent-a-thugs when you need them?
There’s a reason I don’t pick up or drop off at any port. Canadian or not.
I have lived in port towns in Halifax, and Victoria. The guys who unload the ships work their asses off. They certainly deserve more than these six-figure “public Servants” Who spend much of their time taking selfies and 3 hours lunches on the taxpayers’ dime.
Not sure what they are paid today, but 10 years ago, I was still surprised at how little they got for how much crap they had to do.
I’m pretty sure Trudeau will call them extremists, misogynists, or racists…….or something like that. Guess we’ll see.
No question that “public servants” need a big haircut….especially those not in true essential services. But if that kind of performance shown in the Twitter post is an indicator of “working their asses off”, it tells me the bar is pretty low.
I call bullshit regarding the unionized slugs of Canada. The only people in Canada who “work their asses off” are the self-employed ones.
The ferry terminal at Tsawwassen, BC’s Mainland route to Victoria, sits alongside Deltaport. From the terminal and ships you can watch the containers being unloaded. Not pointing any fingers but it seems to be a very slow process. To be fair, each container needs to be correctly identified and sent to the appropriate inter modal location. It’s pretty complex out there , with both incoming and outgoing containers by rail and truck.
Another instance of Gov’t interference in something they clearly know nothing about:

Longshoremen rule the port. They control everything. Contraband is their baby. Nothing gets done on the waterfront without their approval.
The Bong is sacrificing the Canadian economy for the Liberal Party of Canada. He is afraid to pass back to work legislation because of librano seats in Vancouver. It’s too close to an election.
Nice.
I’m sure the World Bank satisfied their CCP masters with this report…
Of course the ports in the CCP don’t have to deal with the longshoreman and assorted gangsters… that’s provided by the CCP
The longshoremen’s union is a criminal organization.
Most Unions are.
They are working fine just like our airlines and airports are working fine.
And we know that is the case because we are told that is the case by our ruling elite.
Workers seem to have called off the strike; for now.

Meanwhile Justin Trudeau convened the Incident Response Group. Approximately 25 minutes was spent describing what a ship is to Omar Alghabra. Seamus O’Regan spent the remainder of the meeting taking about the good times he’s had with sailors.
If the Freedom Convey happened in June, July, August or September, Trudeau wouldn’t have raised a finger, the thought of the Liberals having to go back to work to end this strike is just way to inconvenient.
