1. Why is he NOT facing CHARGES?
   Obviously he’s broken the law and yet our law makers are still protecting him.

   1. And some people still think we can vote our way out of this. I guess they just haven’t had enough yet.

   2. Charges from who? no Crown would want to touch a case involving the liberals since it would end their career.

      The other option is a private prosecution, but that requires the approval of the AG, Lame Yetti, and that’s never going to happen.

      2. We’re going to become Argentina, not Venezuela. Instead of an outright collapse as in the former, we’ll suffer a system that reduces us to developing world status. Not Third World poor but clearly not First World rich either. The economy will sort of work some of the time. Inflation will likely shift between moderate and absurd, never going away entirely. Cost of living will always be rising out of reach of the bottom 40%-50% of income earners, maybe even 60%. Government will be (already is) more concerned with grifting and scapegoating rather than taking its core responsibilities seriously. The people won’t rise up and demand better, instead grumbling endlessly but focusing more on keeping their bellies fed and roofs over their heads.

         We are a complacent and compliant nation and we have effectively killed the golden goose.

4. Rosie Barton is going to be so disappointed. Waiting all this time to have Justin f*ck her, only to find out he likes boys. Now when the muslims run loose raping whomever they choose without consequence, she still won’t get any as pigs aren’t halal. Poor Rosie, always a bridesmaid……

5. I recall that the same tactic of switching out troops was used in tianamen Square. The ones who spent weeks with the students were not considered reliable to carry out orders as it was thought they were becoming sympathetic to the message. So they brought in troops from areas the regime felt were less sophisticated and educated. Were fed the line the protesters were enemy of the revolution and were unleashed before they could become tainted and see the students were just regular Chinese people.

   1. tom@drum, I agree this was most likely the tactics used in Ottawa, but someone or some group would be required to organize such tactics, with agreement from “higher management”, but how the hell can we find out who that someone or group actually were? We know who the upper managers are, but who organized and created the shock troops? This is something that is beyond the pale in this supposed free democracy! It should never have happened!

   Upshot is that this is all faux news. The leaks came from the government, not the military or secret services. They realize the Ukes are going to lose and the US executive (Nuland et al) are too heavily invested in it. So they “release” the bad news before it happens, readying the blame throwing onto the corrupt Zelensky and his scamming military and government. Yes, around 3PM, a sucker/sap/fall guy was presented to the media, but to believe he had access to these top secret documents is a joke; you must also believe there was no conspiracy to kill JFK.

   When this is all over, I want all those pro-Ukes here to repent their ways over the 300,000 dead Ukrainian military, and a few thousand innocent civilians, many of them Russian. This was a proxy war created to used the Ukranian army to weaken the Russians, and it failed. The Russians are now stronger. Russia’s Bismarck, Vladimir Putin, is even stronger, and NATO is almost destroyed.
