  4. Well was just in a ER Friday with a darn good case of “heart burn”, already have one stent from ten years ago.
    The doctor asked “if my heart stops do I want revived.”
    I’m 56 ……
    Sat up and looked him in the eye when I answered….. Yeah !
    He replied “I have to ask everyone from 16 years old and up”.
    So I’ll have to let you know what they say when I get my angioplasty referral.
    My daughters a nurse at sick kids and she found sixteen and up strange but who knows?
    Maybe I should put myself into a prog state of mind, get my I’m vaxxed sticker, and rainbow wristband, before I head in.
    I have to say the nurses where great and the doctors too , but something does seem amiss.

  7. I am astonished at the speed with which we went from cautious acceptance of MAID for terminally ill to practically promoting it for any and all of life’s difficulties. I am amazed at the insensitivity of Liberals who accept this. Surely some must object. They can’t all be Nazi monsters.

    1. Slippery slope-ism is the primary method the government uses to introduce measures it feels will be noxious to most people. The trick is to comfort people into thinking that the measure will effect only a tiny minority.

      I’m remembering the introduction of the Old Age Pension clawback. The initial income threshold, as I recall, was $55,000 which at that time effected very few pensioners. But the concept of the clawback got instituted with almost no outrage.

      ALL the crap beseiging us in this woke madness is at its root DEPOPULATION.

  13. I remember Sue Rodrigues a few years back, and the lengths she had to go to, to be allowed to legally commit suicide to gain permanent relief from all the pain and anguish she was suffering! If I remember correctly she went through multiple court sessions over a couple of years trying to gain permission. Now that society has been “nudged” enough we have arrived to the place that all we need do is request it. Next, I presume that those in charge will start to demand it, or perhaps they will skip that part and just start shipping us off to the death camps.

    Shares in railroad cattle cars might be on the rise pretty quick.

    1. Hospitals are now required to have full time staff to administer MAID. No doubt their annual review and compensation will be based on numbers. Can you imagine being in charge of MAID and telling the hospital CEO you “only” convinced a dozen people to off themselves in a year? NO RAISE FOR YOU!!

    2. The other poignant example was the young woman who died in a jail cell — I think having committed suicide and not rescued in time. Endless investigations into her situation. She was always troubled and clearly wanted to die. Society behaved as though horrified when she did manage to kill herself. It was a sad case, but marks a point in time when attitudes towards assisted death reflected horror . . . rather than today’s all too casual acceptance.

    You will all die horribly, with your final hours stretched out for an eternity of pain, because you are all too afraid to be killed. I have made it my business to avoid that kind of death, so, death by misadventure, or killed by death it is. When the pain becomes too much, then its time to play. It ain’t too hard to do, and its much faster and more merciful than the alternative, its just a question of how much pain you can take, and for how long. People in the west can’t even take low-level pain for a week. Do I like pain? No. Will I drop a pill every time I feel pain? No.
    Bunch of pussywillow pantywaists, preferring suicide to being killed, and you aholes have won, and people like me have lost. Enjoy your victory as you wither on some hospital table unable to crap or feed yourself.
    Myself, I’ll die otherwise, at best by a bullet or bleeding to death from a knife-stroke, both of which are easy enough to arrange, and far better than a hospital bed.
    So FU.
