Friends helping friends:The Senate is hiring a climate change consultant to identify how it can lower its emissions…

The obvious joke is “They could stop talking.”
The classics are still the best.
There’s another obvious one, but I congratulate you on using the polite version. Keepin’ it classy.
You mean, STFU!?!?
There, now it’s out of our system.
Get rid of the Senate (any value lost doing this?), and reconsider the number of MP’s.
What do they do except dutifully vote for whatever comes down (on the government side)?
Governments at all levels need to be dramatically slashed, and useless programs should all
be tossed. Immigration should be set to zero for a few years too!
BTW, the link doesn’t work.
Link no work. Probably me.
I will leave Bob Moran latest Cartoon speak for me…
They are seeking political cover. When they pass the government’s stupid legislation, and people email them asking them if they have lost their collective minds, they will say (and I quote) “We asked the advice of an expert and this is what they told us to say and do”. They can’t look at the facts independently on their own, take a position and hold it, because that would be “WORK” and they certainly don’t want to do that anymore.
I’ve heard that assisted suicide is great for lowering your carbon footprint, and perfectly legal now. I imagine a majority in the senate voted on it.
Is it too brutal to suggest that burning the building, with all those who infest it,then salting the earth..would result in many less emissions of CO2 and waste heat, than letting this corrupt institution continue to plague us?
Of course they are hiring “Con Salt Ants”,cousins? or direct family?
The Parasitic Overload knows no limits..
It must consume and destroy..
Liberalism is a progressive disease..Forward!.
Step 1: Slash the heating and cooling costs of the building to zero
Step 2: eliminate any and all travel privileges that the senate has
Step 3: move the senate to zoom calls, because they all don’t need to be in ottawa to have a meeting, unless the point is to hide things from the public
This type of thing reminds me of how very dumb our political leaders are. Don’t any of them know anything? Humans don’t control the climate. Period. It’s an embarrassment really.
“Don’t any of them know anything?”
LindaL, in a word, no. Most of them are patronage appointments who don’t know their ass from a hole in the ground. For further confirmation, note the huge increase in federal gov’t consultation fees in recent years. I’m preaching to the choir here, but we are being governed by a bunch of idiots.
Couple years back I had a telephone conversation with my MP, Rachel Harder (now Thomas). Had 30-odd questions to ask her, got through most of them in my allotted 30 minutes. She couldn’t tell me what the current atmospheric CO2 concentration was, despite supporting carbon taxes, wind & solar farms. You’d think if she supported a particular POV, she’d know the most basic information on it. She even asked me twice to repeat the question. I’m thinking that her assistant, who was on the call with us, was suppose to text answers to stuff she didn’t know. Unfortunately, it wasn’t the only question she either didn’t know the answer to or answered incorrectly.
Based on that conversation, I’d give her a solid 5.5/10 for basic knowledge, a failing grade for anyone interested in representing constituents.
The only emissions in the Senate come from jerk….. Come from self-indulgence.
