Text book definition of fascism liberals, when the government of the day colludes with big businesses to take away your freedoms and liberty. I hope all of the social media platforms end up sued into Chapter 11, they deserve nothing but destruction.
Add to it the thought leadership of the “intelligentsia” in the Universities and you get a more embedded Fascism. What keeps me hopeful is the knowledge that socialism reverses itself whenever it runs out of other people’s money. We will soon find our energy too expensive to be provided even using other people’s money. We will soon find our education system to expensive to maintain using other people’s money. And our farmers and factories will not be able to contribute the funds required to feed us or run our health care system. Then we will understand the call to Make Canada Great Again.
I hope that there are sufficient numbers of Canadians around at the time of the decline to remember what a great country Canada was and push to return to that greatness. I fear the newly arriving Canadians will not have the same memory of greatness. Anything they experience now is better than what was in the country they left. They do not have the experience of Greatness to aspire too. And the Canadian history they are being taught is one of exploitation. And the political leadership they see is embarrassed and critical of Western values and achievements. The numbers game and memory tradeoffs will be interesting.

Most people are under the illusion that the borders of a country never change. I like to remind them that in 1922, Ukraine became one of the original constitute republics of the USSR. And then in August, 1991, Ukraine officially declared itself an independent country when the (parliament) of Ukraine proclaimed that Ukraine would no longer follow the laws of USSR and only the laws of the Ukraine, thereby declaring Ukraine’s independence from the Soviet Union.
It seems that when central control of a country becomes hostile to a region within that country, borders change. Maybe that’s why they don’t really teach history any more.

Unfortunately, the majority of the population has no idea of this censorship because they rely on MSM and big tech for their news. They have NO idea that any dissenting or conflicting information has been censored and deleted.
Here’s an example… last week I encountered someone who went on and on about Trump’s repeated claims about how the election was rigged and stolen.

This is the problem with Big Tech marching in ideological lockstep with the government. What laws are being broken if the government asks nicely, and a corporation says “sure, we agree with you”? The obvious analogy is the US government asking Hollywood to make pro-war, pro-US films during WWII.
It’s a fair argument (and one I happen to agree with) that when the entity with all the guns and the power of habeas corpus “asks”, it’s not a request.
