  1. It’s not enough that one cannot drive said-truck because of gas prices. Now one can simply not own it, either.

  2. Castreau and his butt buddy Hans Gruber are the enemies of the Canadian people in a way no foreign enemy ever was.

    1. I’m offended by this invoking of my name. I was no ordinary thief, and these two clowns are clearly *inferior* thieves.

    2. This will teach Canadians to never ever encourage TRUCKERS to blow Horns when Imperial leader is in his silk pajamas.

  3. Good! Harder & faster.

It’s measures like this that will alienate westerners even further, to the point of Wexit.

    Bring it.

    1. Not just westerners.
      Anyone that receives goods.
Wait till the denizens inside the MTV and the six block radius around parliament hill can’t find any avocados at the market, or get that cocomocofrappachinogranday for less than $20.

    2. You’d likely find that the average Edmontonian and Calgarian would support the Spawn-Fuhrer and his Greenpeace goose-stepper in screwing over all those PU drivers.

    3. I don’t own a truck, nor do I plan on purchasing one … but I will defend truck owners with my dying breath. First they came for the trucks …

And if trucks are targeted … then why not SUV’s? Why not Vans?

        1. Phantom

          Buy Used … Trucks..???

Good luck with that. Got a few good buddies work at local GM Dealership…they are telling me, that not only are 2500/3500 trucks in HUGE Demand, New ones are Super Expensive at 100k+, & they are being paid for 8-10 weeks prior to Delivery. Lately said trucks have come in without an Entertainment pkg….nice…eh.?

          Used trucks – especially Diesels…??
NOWHERE to Be found…at least for the dealerships…and these guys scour North America Wide. Its apparently been like that for a cpl years so I’m told….as they eye my 06 Duramax..!!

What was that Charlton Heston thing….?? “my cold dead hands”..??

When I can though…. I use the wifes Rolla for running around..!! Saving the Diesel for RV pulling.

  4. If you think that is bad, check out the situation in the UK. For the first year on the road, the sticker cost can be up to around $4k Cdn. The annual rate thereafter is north of $250 Cdn.

    https://www.gov.uk/vehicle-tax-rate-tables

I suspect Dear Leader has been looking covetously at the situation over there.

OTOH, I just received my rebate from Douggie: $700

  5. Never fear, I’m sure there is a hefty tax on private jet fuel in the works. Heh….I crack myself up.

    1. Aviation fuel is already a horrible price. My plane is down for annual maintenance right now, so I haven’t dared even look at the fuel cost at my home airport. My last fill-up was at $2.65/litre, I am sure it is higher now. Jet fuel is less expensive than Avgas, but it ain’t cheap.

    2. How about a retroactive trust fund tax? Especially those fortunes amassed from the sale of gasoline?

  6. A quote from F. A. Hayek would seem appropriate (“Road to Serfdom”, Chapter 8, “Who, Whom”)

In a planned society, we shall all know that we are better or worse of than others, not because of circumstances which nobody controls and which it is impossible to foresee with certainty, but because some authority wills it. And all our efforts directed toward improving our position will have to aim, not at foreseeing and preparing as well as we can for circumstances over which we have no control, but at influencing in our favor the authority which has all the power. The nightmare of English nineteenth-century political thinkers, the state in which “no avenue to wealth and honor would exist save through the government,” would be realized in a completeness which they never imagines — though familiar enough in some countries which have since passed to totalitarianism.

The quote within the quote is from Benjamin Disraeli’s essay “Vindication of the English Constitution in a Letter to a Noble and Learned Lord” which is available for free at this link:

  7. We should have seen that coming. As I’ve mentioned over the past few weeks, the price of diesel fuel has gone through the roof and was significantly more than gasoline 2 weeks ago.

This is Prinz Dummkopf getting revenge for the defiance shown by the convoy earlier this year. After all, the soyboys not being able to have their sparkle rainbow blowjob lattes without hearing honking are far more important to this country than those people who actually produce tangible revenue.

    1. I believe that the beverage you are thinking of in your comment is called an “ejaculatte”

    2. Currently in Calgary, low price for gasoline is 1.53 and diesel 1.60; not an abnormal spread. See ‘gas buddy’.

  8. So?
When will the sock monkey PM Leisure Suit Larry have that vintage Mercedes’ coupe sent through the crusher to save the planet?

Per his standard, no one needs a sports car. A pickup truck has utility, but a sports car is just selfish vanity.
And I know because I own a sports car.

    1. The car was Daddy’s. Like most trust children he is living of his inheritance and the labours of his serfs, the Canadian taxpayers.

  9. I keep hearing the phrase “Farmers Feed Cities”.

Farmers might want to reconsider their position.

      1. Only the farmers in Quebec, particularly those in the dairy industry there.

  10. Sounds like a general strike is required. Those who keep food in the bellies and heat in the homes should stop providing those services and let the cities crumble into smoking holes in the ground. Especially Ottawa, Toronto and Montreal…..ah, what the hell….throw Vancouver in the mix too.

  11. Interesting how Sims explains why this is bad. It’s like for retarded kids. And makes sense, readers may be 3x voters of Prime Moron Scumbag. To these imbeciles, you need to explain what is a truck, what is used for, why it’s not good to tax ’em etc.

  12. Fun fact . My dodge with 5.9 Cummins burns less fuel than the average 1/2 ton. Didn’t stop a Karen from calling me out at the fuel pumps. It also pulls my equipment without packing it in. But no doubt the tax will lower the cost of the next house you build! So do they collect GST on that also?

    1. I’ve sometimes received dirty looks from soyboys for driving my diesel TurboRam. I’m sure some object to having to hear the turbine (that’s what you get for not just driving a vehicle with a turbo-charged engine, but also removing the useless emission control system).

  13. Democide seems less and less like a horrible thing.
We were never going to get out from under the boot through voting.

VOWG states 2 to 5 years. We’ve started year 2. I hope this picks up steam. Aside from our coerced loved ones.

I just wanted to be left alone.

  14. We should be concerned, very concerned, now that our P.M. has joined forces with the N.D.P. I can see our inept P.M.
remaining in power as long as the relationship continues. He will do evertyhing to remain in power by including more and more N.D.P. policies even if they are even more left-wing than his present policies. Unfortunately I can,t see the Conservatives being able to garner enough votes to over- come that coalition.

      1. I think that’s the idea. Out-daddy daddy. On the other hand, by the time he leaves office, there won’t be a country left for him to wreck–er, govern.

  15. Heard this years ago:

If a conservative doesn’t like trucks, he doesn’t buy a truck.
If a liberal doesn’t like trucks, he tells you not to buy a truck.

  16. And all taxes get passed onto the consumer by the businesses that have no choice but to use trucks. But inflation is Putin’s fault.

  17. Yeah.
    Its on.
    What?
You did not believe your governments when they declared war?
    Upon you?
    We still have some choices..
But the longer we allow the existence of Assault Style Liberal Politicians amongst us,the greater damage we will suffer and the narrower our choices will become .

If we act now,arm up and declare independence from our Eastern Comrades,we have a fighting chance of living long and wealth filled lives..
Enjoying this luxurious technological society our parents bequeathed us.

Keep doing what we are doing, attempting to carry the load of Parasites, freeloaders and people who hate us will leave us without wealth or options very soon.
Negotiation is impossible ,when dealing with parasites..
    What “deal” can you strike?
They really should have left us alone.

  18. I would be proud to pay ten thousand dollars tax on a truck if it was the truck that hauled PM Doofus and his cronies off to prison.

  19. The West needs to go their own way to distance themselves from these loony tune stupid people.

    1. Unfortunately the current Wexit party is inept and needs aggressive leadership. I have tried to get involved, but basically get ignored.

  20. average price of a vintage 300 sl roadster 1.2 mill usa i remember when you could get a decent one for 10 large

  21. Pickups are the top selling vehicles in Canada for decades.

Side note : Dealers usually keep 6 months of stock in overflow lots. They’re down to about 3 weeks of stock presently.

Everything Liberals touch turns to shit.

    1. “Everything Liberals touch turns to shit.”

Yup. And there are a lot of Conservative fingerprints all over that shit, too.

    2. “Everything Liberals touch turns to shit.” — an apt description of the PM himself.

      1. But they spend a lot of effort trying to polish shit but they just spread it all over themselves.

  22. Last week in Trawna, Centre of the Universe (TM): diesel fuel $2.03; furnace oil (week avg) $1.37. I recall way back during the OPEC crises, a lot of folks up North were buying VW Diesel Rabbits and fueling them with furnace oil, which at the time saved about a buck a gallon. An old schoolmate of mine, who used to work for Shell, built a used motor oil refinery for the company at the Toronto end of the finished products pipeline from Sarnia, and he told me that trucks from the US would deliver 20,000 gallons of used motor oil, then fill up with furnace oil, haul it back to Buffalo, and sell it to gas stations as diesel. Natch, this was illegal, but he told me that drivers were making 3 trips a day, and if they got busted, he’d see the same truck and driver the next day, only the truck would have a new magnetic sign on the cab doors, with a different numbered company name on it. Three trips a day at a buck a gallon profit, and the fines and penalties were just the cost of doing business. But, I said, I thought diesel and furnace oil were different. Nope, he said, they both come out of the same pipe.

      1. A litre or 2 of synthetic 2 stroke oil/tank of mix works wonders with lubricity for the pump and injectors.

  23. The man is totally evil. He should be begging truckers for forgiveness. Do not overlook that this is a tax on rural people. Farmers, hunters, fallers, etc. need trucks. I thought the NDP stood behind ordinary folk. Where are they in this?

    1. Do not overlook that this is a tax on rural people.

“Do not overlook that this is a tax on the deplorables.” Fixed it.

  24. Global warming is bull****

It’s the Sun, Solar System and where we are currently at in the galactic plane.

Climate change is just an excuse to tax us all more and getting the sheeple to accept the guilt so they will pay pay pay into bankruptcy aka slavery.

    Just in…

Neptune sifting through observations made in the infrared region, the team noticed that the average global temperature of Neptune’s stratosphere had fallen by 8-degrees Celcius between 2003 and 2018. The temperature change trend was expected to be the opposite, as the phase in which data on the planet was collected was supposed to be the summer season. “This change was unexpected. Since we have been observing Neptune during its early southern summer, we would expect temperatures to be slowly growing warmer, not colder,” said the lead author of the research, Dr. Michael Roman in a statement with the University of Leicester.

Just like Earth, Neptune is also tilted and experiences seasonal variations similar to summer and winter on Earth.

Do you folks remember this from five years ago?

This Mysterious, Indestructible ‘Black Box’ Will Tell The Future What Happened to Us
      PETER DOCKRILL
      6 DECEMBER 2021

At a distant end of the Earth – hidden somewhere on the remote Australian island of Tasmania – a strange structure is about to witness and record the end of the world as we know it.

The project, called Earth’s Black Box, is a giant steel installation, soon to be filled with hard drives powered by solar panels, each of them documenting and preserving a stream of real-time scientific updates and analysis on the gloomiest issues the world faces.

Information related to climate change, species extinction, environmental pollution, and impacts on health will all be chronicled in the monolithic structure – so that if some future society might one day discover the archive, they’ll be able to piece together what happened to our planet.

  25. Yeah. That won’t affect inflation on foodstuffs (and everything else) at all, will it? (Sarc)

  26. “tax hits new SUVs that use more than 13 litres of fuel per 100 kilometres”
My brother regularly does better than that with his 6.7 Cummins. Mine tends to average 14, but I haul heavier loads.
