  1. Probably explains the Ceeb’s nightly share of the local newscasts nationwide: last time I checked, I believed it hovered somewhere between 2% and, uhm, death.

  2. Chalk this up to no such thing as bad press. The more negative things said about Trump, the more popular he became. The more negative things said about Fox, the more popular it became.

    1. Careful with that thought: better not say anything bad about Turdeau, lest it makes him more popular.

  3. I have heard CNN talked about more in the past many months by ‘conservative media’ than I did when they were actually relevant. On top of that, just 2 wks ago, in one single frigging day, I read two different conservative news stories that cited CNN as a source. CNN?… a credible news source?… I mean… WTF?

It’s like they can’t bring themselves to give up CNN, just like CNN couldn’t bear to give up Trump. I guess it’s all about juicing the clickbait, baby!

  4. Several decades ago, as an IBM employee, we were cautioned (warned!) to NOT disparage the competition. You have a limited amount of time with the client; don’t waste it. Spend the time available promoting your own product. Basically always take the High Road.
Made sense then and it still does; working for myself over the years, I never forgot that advice.

Funny that…I worked for ESAB selling Welding automation. We all took the same tact…crappie g on your competition just shows what a low life Pce of Garbage you are.

    2. As a brand new engineer and an end user, I used their named disparagement of the competition as a potential shopping list of alternate products. Some were as bad as they say or even worse. Others had features that worked in our very specific, demanding applications.

Same thing for coworkers. “I don’t like that lazy Jack guy.” — I often silently agreed, Jack was a slug, but he was OUR Slug. “Jack is a great guy, remember the X he worked on, and the Y he solved last year?” Change the topic to today’s business. When the guy says more about Jack? “If you feel that way, please talk to our boss.”

  5. Google up “The Gimp” in Pulp Fiction and tell me it wasn’t Brian Stelter all along.

  6. “Naked, prone and wearing a ball gag”…
Hmmm sounds like a certain party leader in Canada.
