I can see targeting individual lawbreakers but to blame all the protestors and move to shut it down before negotiations have even been tried seems like a no-brainer violation of the right to protest fundamental to all Western nations.   20. I was just there. I personally saw what looked like 6 troops of 12 officers from York Regional Police deploying south of Parliament Hill about 2 hours ago, and reported it to Rebel News. Some of the troops were equipped with headsets for some reason. They cordoned off the street around their equipment truck as they deployed. Interesting that they brought in external police to run this operation. The folks I spoke with at the protest appeared to be expecting this. I think the expectation is that the truckers will get cold and go home. I’m not sure what the plan is to move the trucks. However, most officials don’t seem to understand the tremendous pressure independent truckers in Canada were under before this even began. Many of them have little expectation of the survival of their business regardless of what happens over the next few days. They have very little left to lose, and less to gain by caving to pressure from police. I think this move by police may backfire.

  22. The police and politicians have completely tunnelled in on the question of “Who is master here?” and have all but forgotten the grievances the convoy came to redress. I haven’t heard one of them answer the question, “Why don’t you give them what they want?” It doesn’t arise; all they can focus on now is crushing this upstart challenge to their dignity and authority.

    If it were Indians blocking the streets and drumming and chanting, the authorities would not dare to express this degree of haughty truculence, no matter how gassy, fantasy-based and impossible the demands were. A gang of Algonquins could be demanding Trudeau hand over the keys to the Governor-General’s residence and replace the Peace Tower with a tepee, and the CBC would be giving them 24/7 coverage with sober, chin-stroking analysis of the merits of their claim at the top of every hour. Instead treating this like an unexpected but solvable turn of events, Trudeau and company have turned it into an existential crisis.

    While I was listening to the feed a call sigh group of radio cars did a radio check to Alpha Command then weren’t into a “10-3 Stop Transmitting” at just before 16:00 hrs PST (4PM PST) or what we would say in the military, radio silence. A common procedure we would do before beginning a ops/trace.

    About 4:20 PST a “Alpha Command” call sigh. Started addressing the officers on the ground that started to reporting a growing group for people gathering in the parking of CanadianTire after they started seizing fuel from the truckers and a new group of people of media types started asked for OPS media relations( 4:32 PM PST). To which, Alpha command said media relations are not available and all media requests are to be referred to OPS media relations later.

    What was interesting about the youtube feed. They started tracking and reporting a group of 30 bob tail trucks (big rigs without trailers) about 3:15 PM PST and a fuel truck at 3:30 PM PST. All the timings I have given you are not in central time but in PST, at the time of this writing it is 8:30 PM CST and there is a shift change on going with the patrol units of the OPS.

    One take away listening to the radio chatter, Alpha command was controlling several different groups AND the OPS.
    My question was this a fed operation and who was Danny, Alpha command refereed too? and who is Alpha squad ?

  31. How productive will it prove to be for Trudeau’s government to have attacked an entire group of workers responsible for moving goods across the nation? The citizens of Ottawa can blame truckers, when food is no longer available, but that won’t get them anywhere; in fact it will likely aggravate the situation. Trudeau has just committed logistic suicide.
