Why this blog?
Until this moment I have been forced to listen while media and politicians alike have told me "what Canadians think". In all that time they never once asked.
This is just the voice of an ordinary Canadian yelling back at the radio -
"You don't speak for me."

Cruz doing Kabuki theatre now? Why it almost seems like yesterday he was calling grandmothers terrorists.
Wait…it was yesterday.
Notice he didn’t even try to badger her. I.e., “You can’t? Or, you won’t?” Cruz has exceeded his best before date by a long shot now.
burton, hard for me to muster any support for him either, after that gongshow on Tucker. Up to that point I actually had some respect for the guy.
I guess it’s a case of what have you done for me lately?
“I guess it’s a case of what have you done for me lately?”
Warren, I’m one of these freaks for whom trust is earned, not merely given. Politicians & bureaucrats especially have to work very hard to earn my trust and It don’t take much for me to retract that quickly & fully. I always thought Cruz was on the correct track but he FUBAR’d that in short order.
Same as Kristie Noem of SD. Early on she sounded like she was one of the few to champion women’s rights, as far as all this “TG’s in sports” BS is concerned. That went out the window in a hurry & now, when she speaks, all I hear is Charlie Brown’s teacher: wah, wah, wah.
I hope that when you screw up in life you’re treated better. “trust is earned”? Oh please. You are actually what is wrong with today’s society. No sense of charity in your heart. You think just like the Twitter mob does. Only you’re on the other side of that fence.
Sure Ted Cruz flubs up from time to time. He’s human. But he also has done much good since he became a senator. But of course that doesn’t matter to you. Even when he apologizes.
It’s under the bus he goes. With you it is a case of “What have you done for me lately?”.
You might have an argument if what Ted Cruz had said was indicative of a pattern. It isn’t.
I have screwed up in my life & I’ve taken my deserved knocks with no complaints. My folks taught me very early on that if I wanted to dance I’ve gotta pay the fiddler.
What’s truly wrong with society today is that we no longer drink from the skulls of our enemies. And, if I’m on the other side of the fence from the Twat mob, then I ain’t exactly thinking like them, am I? I’ve got a ton of charity in my heart for the right people. A trustworthy person comes to me with a problem, I will put my life on hold to help them out. Politicians can KMHUA.
For the life of me I cannot think of a reason why my opinion of the Jan 6 “insurgence” would ever cause me to call the protesters “violent terrorist attackers”. Ever. Nobody “slips” & says Hitler was a decent person. It ain’t happening. There’s no way in hell Cruz’s observation was merely a “slip”.
A lot of assholes apologize. That doesn’t necessarily mean they’re sorry. In far too many cases it means, “sorry I got caught”. Especially politicians. Cruz is going to have to redouble his efforts to get any trust back, not only from me but from a lot of people. Noem, too. Kenney? Hinshaw? The Stool? There is nothing that any of those 3 could do to ever gain my confidence. And you know, maybe I am set on a hair trigger. However, considering politicians in general & especially the lies of the last two years in particular, the question isn’t why am I distrustful of the bastards. The question is, why isn’t everybody?
At no point did Ted Cruz call the protesters terrorists. He said “we saw a terrorist attack on the United States capital”. There’s a difference. What Ted Cruz said, was that he was referring to violent attacks against police officers. We’re talking about a difference in definitions. But I guess that doesn’t matter to you. You’ve already made up your mind. Despite all the good he’s done, Under the bus he goes! This conversation can serve no further purpose.
Whaddayoumean?!!! Ted told Tucker how he always backs the police! That explained why he hates Trump “Terrorists” … Right?
I know, I know … I’m supposed to like Ted, because he’s a fellow Christian? Sorry. He appears to be a “user Christian” … no better than Bill Clinton carrying a BIG BIBLE to church after he diddles 19yo Intern on the Oval Office furniture.
You’re comparing Cruz to Clinton? Really? “Why do you look for the splinter in your brother’s eye, and fail to see the beam in your own?”
Ted Cruz has done many good things as a senator. Even his failures to get certain bills past, is worthy of praise. No doubt you would accuse him of grandstanding though.
But he screws up saying something that came out wrong, and you toss him under the bus “Christian”.
Yes Ted Cruz has made mistakes. But they’re not indicative of a pattern. His performance as a senator has been a positive force.
For you education. https://www.tedcruz.org/34-cruz-legislative-measures-enacted/
Warren, it’s deeper than that. Cruz is playing footsie with a Trump (read: conservative base) presidency. The minute Trump looks vulnerable … via the Jan. 6 full court press … Cruz abandons ship and rejoins the GOPe. He calls the Trump protestors “violent terrorists”. No doubt he fully supports shooting (and killing) protesters who dare to trespass … as part of his unflinching “Law and Order” philosophy. But when Trump was in office and had the power … he kissed Trump’s ass.
That may be “politics as usual” … but not when the GOPe are sinking America and surrendering to the ChiComs (economically). Politics as usual is WHY we elected Trump. Cruz is a slut to power. He’s proven he’ll kiss anyones ass he needs to retain power.
Agree with what you say.
Cruz consistently, very effectively attacks the ‘Democrat’* fascists in the committee hearings. When he went on with the description of those protesters, was taken aback, not good. Though on the balance of things he is pretty solid.
As it is the politicos must be consistent, one error does not a career make.
Like in the clip above, he can only ask so many questions in 5 minutes slot. It is rather obvious that the woman can’t talk which thing is constant in the open forum, spy stuff is not going public. If they had or will have closed door hearing, Cruz will get much more out of her.
The trouble of course is the the ‘Demokrat’* fascists rule the hearings so there is slight and none chance of that.
*’Demokrat’ in the sense of German Demokratic Republic.
Kenji – You’re upset because Ted Cruz may want to challenge Donald Trump because he looks vulnerable? Despite what you’re saying as being purely theoretical, how dare he do such a thing, pffft! Oh the humanity! Do you even listen to yourself? Just to remind you. It was Ted Cruz that led the Jan 6 effort in trying to block Joe Bidens win. So in your world, Ted Cruz should not run for president, because Donald Trump is running for president?
Next, if you were to rewatch the video, at no point does Ted Cruz call the protesters terrorists. He said “we saw a terrorist attack on the United States capital”. There’s a difference. What Ted Cruz said, was that he was referring to violent attacks against police officers. We’re talking about a difference in terminology of definitions.
” But when Trump was in office and had the power … he kissed Trump’s ass. ” So,Ted Cruz working with Donald Trump to help run a government, is kissing Trump’s ass? First off, it was Jon Voight (yes the actor) that convinced a very angry Ted Cruz, after a long discussion, to support Trump. Despite the vile things Trump had said about him and his family, What convinced him to support Trump in the end? If Ted Cruz didn’t support Donald Trump, it may have created a division within the Republican party, wide enough that Hillary Clinton could have become president. Plus forgiveness is the Christian thing to do. Ted Cruz had to swallow his pride, despite the ugliness to come out of your god Trump’s mouth. Ted Cruz did a very noble and difficult thing.
And you call it kissing Trump’s ass. What the hell is wrong with you? Grow up!
Vito – Exactly!
well he is a lawyer
That’s what you take away from this?
Or, he called it domestic terrorism yesterday and this day he is identifying who the terrorists are … the FBI!
FED, FED, FED, FED, FED, FED, AMERICANS ARE GETTING FED UP WITH THIS HAIR BRAIN SOCIALIST HIPPIE SHIT.
Biden at 30 percent approval, probably 10%.
Time to take our County Back.
200 years of dead Patriots are begging, demanding, from the grave.
Somebody has something on Ted.
His wife in the CFR perhaps?
Is that so??!!?? Gawd! Is there anyone not a member.
Good grief.
Our governments have devolved into girl-fights over who gets to own the little people.
Most little people seem to have their favorite owners.
The ship of state is now a prison barge, with the inmates arguing over prison wardens that will either give us more free smokes or more yard time.
Well, of course. All the real decisions are made in Wall Street and Beijing. This is prolefeed.
I’m sure many decisions are also made in Brussels and Davos.
Trump holds first 2022 rally in Arizona as heated GOP Senate primary is underway.
Feds can’t control the States.
Girl fighting doesn’t allow M-60s.
Yeah. The GOP and Trump’s top men like Pence fought like real men when the election was stolen.
yeahBUTT
and the “church” cries, as it is losing the battle for being the top dicktaters!
and Pence, just another traitorous bible banger
I think the only man who was not a traitor in Trump’s admin was Devin Nunes.
See my comment above about Ted being a “user Christian”. Just because some douche’ wears Christ on their sleeve and “identifies” as a Christian … it doesn’t change God’s Word or Order of the Universe. Humans are all quite fallible and generally make pretty awful Ambassadors of Christ.
I still love you, my Christian-crucifying NME … as you and I agree on so MANY things.
I think Ted could still be a useful ally. He will never again be considered a first string conservative, but if he gets back to working hard for conservative values he can stay on the team. There are much bigger RINO’s to purge before we worry about the soft conservatives within our ranks. Of course if he continues to try to poke holes in our boat – overboard he goes.
To be fair, his voting record is pretty solid.
Agreed. The FBI Jr Deputy Mouthpiece also was under strict orders to say nothing. Interrogating her would have been portrayed as verbal waterboarding of a helpless but dedicated public servant. I think even the SCOTUS is behaving like a penned bull on steer day. If Conservatives know what’s best for them, then after presumably a big November they need to replace the FBI, transfer duties to the new org and then defund that part of the swamp. Then repeat with every Fed swamp org until some balance is restored to bureaucracy where political corruption can demonstrated. If Dems are so for “build back better” the Repubs need to show them how it’s done. It would also help to decentralize DC.
The FBI person looks like he/she lost their balls when a Ginsu knife juggling demonstration went awry. Is everyone who works for the government a freak?
Ted is doing his part on shining some sunlight on the Uniparty.
He asks simple, straight forward questions that a 5 year old who has the information could answer in a heartbeat.
This allows EVEN Democrats to view and see that there are only lies, more lies and damn lies running the US now.
I think Ted could have served the public just a bit better had he pressed the question: “Who did you take orders from to not answer my questions?”. Shake the trees and watch the rotten fruit fall.
Ted is Uni-Party.
Same for Pierre Marcel Poilievre..
All theatre.
Permitted theatre.
No follow through.
These kind exist to block necessary actions, just as Preston Manning succeeded it keeping the West mired in Confederation for another 30 years.
Actions are their true measure.
What did they do?
What did they get done?
Reward them accordingly.
“Her lips are moving…”
I’ll take
” How can you tell when a Democrat is lying ? ”
for $ 500.
That’s not quite true.
When the Democrat says “I want a lawyer” or “I hate Hymies,” she’s generally not lying about that.
I think that Ted is trying to get America’s attention by saying there was aggressive behaviour on the 6th at the Capitol, but, it was orchestrated by the FBI. It was nothing compared to the summer riots by Antifa but it went beyond a peaceful demonstration, mainly because the FBI steered it that way at the direction of avowed Trump-haters within their ranks. A set up.
His objective in this committee hearing was to get the FBI spokesperson to look guilty, and that he did. What happens next will be the test of whether Ted can be effective or not.
“ Jan 6 is a good time to remember: Violence is a tool of the State. Assume anyone proposing Initiating Violence is probably a Government Agent, Government Provocateur and/or Government Informant”
It was a FEDsurrection, not an insurrection. Please use this terminology going forward people.
FBI = Federal Bureau of INSURRECTION
I read into things.
What I read into her testimony is that nobody should expect her to spill her guts.
That’s not the point.
What she didn’t do is come out with a whole hearted defence of the agency which says a lot more.
There are many on the inside that are trapped and desperately need a champion they know won’t throw them under the bus to further their political career.
They can see first hand who the opportunistic politicians are and know not to trust them.
The bosses of these cowed individuals also know that as long as the opportunistic easily compromised politicians are around they can keep any independent minded bronco’s from riling up the herd.
Currently the deep state have the most shameless opportunistic president in US history occupying the Oval Office and he will do what ever they want lest his security detail go lax at the wrong time.
She gave the answers that confirmed there is something not right, it leaves unanswered questions. And sometimes it’s advantageous to have questions unanswered rather than an answer that can be “what they really meant” interpreted for mass consumption.
She didn’t lie, she let the world know the agency is not doing law enforcement.
True,
at no point did she say ; ” the FBI did not do that ” or ” the FBI does not do such things”
her answers pretty much were an admission of guilt.
Agreed. If the answers to the questions were “no”, she would have said no.
She is not cowed or afraid. She is the spokesperson for the FBI. She was picked because she is part of the cabal who run things and they trust her. She won’t answer the questions because she does not want to be charged with lying under oath when they revisit the CF some day in the future.
L – The Senator did his job well. The witnesses body language was her answer. The political purpose was to add logs to the political fire in November’s elections. The legal process to come is the promissory note to the citizenry. If they change the balance of power in November.
This is going to be fun to watch.
Will Canada’s regime of the Emperor little potato, step on an uncapped mRNA bio-weapon syringe and stumble down the stairs into oblivion, without Obama’s machinations to save him…?
Will the mass hysteria/formation begin to break down here in 2022, as it has in the U.S. of A. ? Watch the provinces. To be continued. (where is that meme video?)
Wow.
“Self respect” is very rarely seen these days in the political or justice realm.
This was not a court room with unlimited time to interrogate.
So I think for the most part he could be excused for moving to the next question….
I see the left is beating the war drums for a set to with Russia over Ukraine. What a splendid idea…let’s get into a dustup with another nuclear superpower. In Afghanistan for 20 years and couldn’t beat a band of pyjama clad psychopaths but yeah, they really like their chances here.
Effing halfwits are going to get us all killed.
Gay Che sent his top tier Rhodes Scholar, Melanie Jolie to the Ukraine in an effort to “defuse the situation” so you just know Canada is doing its part.
God help us all.
Starting a year ago or so (too late) I put all conservative politicians into the Lindsey Graham/Jason Kenny bucket. I start out thinking they’re lying sacks of dung until they demonstrate a few times that they stay conservative when the media or their bureaucrats lean on them. If they wither under fire they go into the Erin otoole bucket.
Cruz jumped into the otoole bucket. Gonna take a lot of work to get out of it. It’s a deep bucket.
I don’t have a name for the true conservative bucket yet.
