  1. I voted no. I really want to see how far these retards will go.
Anyway, cross border food should be the least of your concerns. Not many Canadians live more than 1 hour from a guy that would sell you half a cow for $1500. He probably sells eggs too. Shop local. You don’t need Mexican lettuce.

    1. So ….
If we all go to those farmers, ya think they will have enough product left ?
Best keep quiet and tell only your very best of friends or family you trust with your life , the locations of said farmers.
If I was a local farmer I wouldn’t want half a city at my doorstep.

      1. Good advise John. Where I am, about an hour plus, north of TO we have enough problems as it is.

      2. You got it. John.
Most of my neighbours raise animals for the local market. They can’t take care of present local demand as it is now, let alone the increase we can expect.

    2. “You don’t need Mexican lettuce.”
So good of you to tell us what we do or do not need.
Most Canadians live in shitholes called “cities”, and are more than 1 hr away from farms.
The trucker mandate is about more than just food.
Another thing we don’t need is people’s opinions on what we do or do not need.

    3. Um, beef is not the issue. Canada produces more beef than we need, so loss of sales to Americans. Besides, most Canadians think steak comes from a package neatly wrapped.
Potential food shortages would be fresh produce, namely the greens, and it’s not MEXICAN lettuce, dummy….
Canned goods will do, as will frozen where applicable.
The shortages will be showing up in many different ways, but could be limited. The US is not the manufacturing powerhouse it used to be. The closure of Chinacom ports could be more concerning, that’s where Walmart gets its cheap crappy shit from that it sells.
      Appliances
      Clothes
      Car parts
      That’s just the start

sorry, eljay… it doesn’t work like that. you show up in a rural neighbourhood
in the middle of a crisis demanding, well… anything… all you’re gonna get…
if you’re lucky, is a fanny full of birdshot.

the power goes off, that’s it… no water, no electricity, empty shelves in looted
stores. and the folks in community housing, they don’t play by your rules… so
hide your food AND your daughters.

nine meals from anarchy, bro… you’re not even gonna make it outta the city.

  2. While I voted yes – shit-disturber mode – it really doesn’t matter.

“On November 19, 2021, we announced that as of January 15, 2022, certain categories of travelers who are currently exempt from entry requirements, will only be allowed to enter the country if they are fully vaccinated with one of the vaccines approved for entry into Canada. These groups include several essential service providers, including truck drivers. Let us be clear: This has not changed. The information shared yesterday [truckers don’t have to be vaccinated] was provided in error. Our teams have been in touch with industry representatives to ensure they have the correct information.”

    That is all.

    1. Voting FOR mandates in one area of society is inviting future mandates in ALL areas of society.

i.e – You vote against truckers today, truckers vote against you tomorrow.

      1. I don’t recall any plebescites or referenda concerning any mandate whatsoever, so what is this voting you speak of, and where does it take place?

        1. “….where does it take place?”

The place of public opinion, where ideas are either supported or not supported by the public thus influencing the decisions of politicians and lawmakers who tend to flow with public opinion.

          1. “You have the cart before the horse.”

Do tell, the floor is open for you to elaborate and enlighten………

          2. This hasn’t gone through parliament. Like every bit of covid tyranny it never goes through a legislative body because it wouldn’t pass.

  3. The vaccinated spread the virus from China too, shouldn’t all trucking be shut down to protect us?

  4. Another poll going horribly wrong for our politicians at 79% supporters to the Truckers.

    1. Do you think they care? ALL that matters is Toronto. Whatever they want happens. This is why truckers should stop delivering crap to that he’ll hole

  5. The truckers can deal with this quite simply by refusing to transport anything into, or out of, Ottawa, Toronto and Montreal. It’s all about focusing on the idiots who support the Liberal “government”. Hurt them….not the rest of the country.

    1. They can deal with it quite simply by parking their *&^%$#g rigs across every border crossing. That way their “vaxed” brethren can’t make up for them.

  6. Holy cow! CKLW is now “the information station”? When I was a kid, WJR (from high atop the golden tower of the Fisher Building) was the information station, CKLW was the rock-and-roll station. Of course, it’s been 40 years since I moved away from the Toledo area (and WOHO and WOWO) so who knows what sort of changes have come and gone, but still a bit of a shock to see what CKLW has become.

    1. Truckers are talking. I get messages/links from one.
Apparently there is a convoy planned for Jan 29.

  7. Fuck – it’s only 80 to 20! I didn’t think 20% of Canadians don’t eat! (Or are TERMMINALLY STUPID, maybe?)

    1. The fact that only 20% of Canadians are showing their terminal stupidity is actually a surprise to me.
