1. These morons still have it stuck in their heads that temperature rise follows CO2 rise. This has been disproved under over sideways down, and yet these brainwashed base their whole belief (I wouldn’t call it science) around it.
   As a contributor to warming (if there actually is any warming), CO2 is an extremely small player.

      It’s just Champagne Commies shootin off their vacuous fed mouths. Hell, even Christina Figueres (Ex Exec Secretary of the IPCC), stated point blank & publicly it was to re-distribute the Wests money elsewhere.

      China has what 1082 operating Coal plants..?? and still building them uhuh.

   2. CO2 is the gas of life for this Planet. Drop below 250 ppm CO2 and the tomatoes stop growing. Below 150 ppm, just about anything living on the surface, cats, rats an’ n’eliphants croak. Look it up. All life on this planet originated in the oceans.

   I am going to add this to my already long list of locations that so called climate scientists are claiming to be warming at twice the rate as anywhere else. The prize still goes to Saskatchewan:

   1. Your government spreads the same lie: “The Canadian Arctic is warming 2.9 times faster than the global average.” Bullshit.

      All of these “warming x times faster than global average” are deliberately misleading statements. They all compare the local LAND temperature to the global LAND/OCEAN Average temperature.

      The globe is 71% ocean which is warming much slower than land. Nearly any spot on land is warming faster than the global land/ocean average!

   2. Good for us ! If you’ve ever lived through a few Saskatchewan blizzards and winters then you’ll appreciate a little warming. And here is an observation that I’ve noticed, and that comes from living in Sask all my life. The beginning of freezing temps and winter seems to be coming earlier and spring seems to be coming later.

3. Here’s a good place to start to understand what’s actually happening to global temperatures. We now have credible data dating back to 1979 (beginning of the satellite era for truly global temperature measurements. This data is published monthly but never appears in your paper. Simply not scary enough with warming rates well below the “official” predictions. You can see that despite local high temperatures in parts of North America, global temperatures are actually quite low compared to the last couple of decades.

   “The linear warming trend since January, 1979 remains at +0.14 C/decade (+0.12 C/decade over the global-averaged oceans, and +0.18 C/decade over global-averaged land).”

4. Canadians could not handle democracy.
   A direct vote is democracy.
   Everything else is conditional democracy which is not democracy, very much like social justice, there is justice, you add something to it, it becomes something else.
   The else is decided by the ruling class.

   I grew up in Peoples Democracy, which was neither peoples and most certainly not a democracy and was run by communists.

8. Switzerland you say, that is very interesting. Switzerland, or Sweden, was the ground zero for the whole thing in the modern era. Reading the comment’s, no one has read Rupert Darwall’s book. Back in the 70s, they used acid rain to move public opinion, because they wanted support for nuclear energy.

   Judging by the comments, there is still almost no one who starts from “everything they are saying is a lie”. Too bad, it has been obvious for so long.

   It is simply about creating moral panics. These happen to revolve around the environment. Then putting that “crisis” to “good use”.

   Moral panics about the unmasked, the unvaccinated, acid rain, CO2, NO2, particulates, … .

9. S/. = It sounds like there is a simple fix coming for all those places that are warming at twice the global average. Once enough of them are warming at twice the global average, then that’ll be the current global average, and the other areas will be warming at half the global average.

   There fixed it.

   Based on all the lies, innuendo, falsehoods, and fear porn out there, my math makes as much sense as any other math. Of course, with less than a one degree rise over a century, it’ll take to about the 25th century to start causing any real problems. By then, our tax rates for CO2 control will be through the roof, but I don’t think I’m gonna be caring much. /s.
