Stay in Place Policies: Uncomfortable Facts

Narcissistic Ignoramuses (aka the Radical Left) frequently say that we need to follow “the science and data”. What they really mean, of course, is to follow data that agrees with their predetermined outcomes.

A new scientific paper is coming out that analyzes the Stay in Place policies implemented throughout the world. Here’s a key takeaway:

To do so, we use data from 43 countries that implemented SIP policies and all 50 U.S. states. We estimate the effect of SIP policies using an event study approach. We also examine thechange in excess deaths following the introduction of SIP policies separately for each country and U.S. state. We also compare differences in excess mortality based on the timing of SIP policy implementation.

In both settings, we fail to find that SIP policies saved lives. To the contrary, we find a positive association between SIP policies and excess deaths. We find that following the implementation of SIP policies, excess mortality increases. The increase in excess mortality is statistically significant in the immediate weeks following SIP implementation for the international comparison only. At the U.S. state-level, excess mortality increases in the immediate weeks following SIP implementation and then trends below zero following 20 weeks of SIP implementation.

Uncomfortable facts … for those who want us locked down forever. Expect the 4 authors’ lives to be destroyed if this paper ever gains traction.

  1. What really pisses people off is all the people who are exempt from our governments restrictions and who they choose to have these exemptions that are not really essential but government protected then.
Everyone else get fined up the Ying-Yang should they brake any government imposed ’emergency orders’.

After 18 months of lockdowns, the system hasn’t changed like it was supposed to and only gotten worse with even more government confusion and restrictions.

  2. The “system” isn’t designed to change, from the git go, only get worse with time. Wear your yellow star, un-vaccinated with the non vaccine. Depopulation is in effect. You’re first. The “vaccinated” are smug in their “got the jab” superiority over the non vaxxed, heathens. Call me in November/December about it, why don’t you. Think of it, the average age at death (if you believe the numbers aren’t already fudged, but then you can’t fudge dead people….there’s witnesses) is 80 in this province, most of dead came from the 65-80 cohorts. AHS publishes those numbers online, grouped by age. When they die, no more CPP/OAS is paid out and the “Canada Pension Plan” herd is thinned, with .gov approval (a giant ponzi scheme to be used to buy into China’s, communist endeavors in their state run “economy”. these days. CPPIB has offices in Hong Kong and the pay and perks are investment grade) survives for those duped young ‘uns. I’m sure they’re actually thinking of it right now, with their “muh house” issues. Got muh vaxx, too so I’m OK. Party on.
If those .gov restrictions bother you (they are off the radar with the Horde, see comment #1) nobody in .gov cares. See Lytton, BC.

      1. Has anyone else thought that it is one hell of coincidence that Lytton is where the doctor who challenged the vaccine in BC and was apparently doing his own research that shows the vaccine is going to cause heart failure in 5 years or so is from the town that burned to the ground, including his medical centre?

I am becoming really really paranoid.

        1. Paranoid…?! Nah, I don’t think so Justin.

Having seen the depths to which govt in all its variations is willing to push an agenda using false flag type events…this would not surprise me in the slightest.

  3. You need to stop blaming “the Left” for everything. The premiers in Canada who have locked down the most all are the right wing parties in their jurisdictions: Ontario, Quebec, NB, Manitoba.

Its also just Ben Shapiro-level cringe to do that. As though the left is what makes Tool pathetic.

    1. George, there are no right wing parties in Canada, that should be obvious by now. All policies related to the whu who flu have been a waste of time and complete failures if control of virus was the aim, that includes the not-vaccines. Still a 99.8% recovery rate. I wish my odds of winning the lottery were that good.

    2. Somehow I don’t think it’s a “left/right” thing at this point. More like clowns regarding the ones you single out. I bet a lot of people think the same thing, right now. And the Tool isn’t my fav either, sport. He does it all on his own, like Blackie.

    3. George…

“Left” is how you act, not a label you apply to yourself.

Claiming to be Conservative while acting like a Lefty only makes you a hypocrite..

If you walk like a duck and quack like a duck………

  4. Science schmience … all that the Marxists need to do is claim the Study is … flawed. Not ‘really’ science. Done. And the Study is memory holed. Never to heard from again.

  5. Interesting to note in the discussion section at the end of the paper the authors refer to future trends perhaps being related to the availability of vaccines and therapeutics. Their parting shot supports vaccines but does not mention therapeutics or prophylactic (preventative) use of common medications. So maybe they won’t lose their jobs.

  6. Well the numbers did not lie.
For Canadians trapped in direct government care Covid 19 has been a killer.
Not so much for those looked after by friends and family..
So is it the Disease or the Government Help that is causing mass death?
Naturally any suggestion that our helpers are more dangerous than this flu, will produce endless propaganda, but funny how these things stand out.
