  3. From what you can read in the papers and hear on the radio and watch on TeeVee, who is doing thins is completely and utterly unknown.
    The syllogism from this would follow is that they agree with the second guy.
    The politicians, the media cartel the rest of the ruling class on the whole said nothing other that bad.
    Perhaps exception is Corbella altough she is not wading in the native territory, one can expect to be cancelled in near future.

No, it is not ” understandable” Mr. Butts, unless you think the destruction of our county’s heritage and culture is understandable. Our country’s leaders should be outraged by the burning of churches. They should be speaking out, making it clear that Canadians oppose this type of violence. Clearly that’s not happening. The current Liberal politicians are enablers.

    To the native people themselves? I doubt that very much, and so does this lady:

  10. I think Canadian Aboriginals are coming to a watershed moment. They are almost always portrayed as homogeneous in their thinking and politics but there has always been a significant group that, though proud of their culture and heritage, don’t necessarily support all of the Political Activism being perpetrated in their name. The media has largely ignored those Aboriginals that were willing to speak out so these people are invisible to most of Canada. I also think that they are very loyal to their people and that has kept most of the criticism internal. But it’s hard, even from that position of loyalty, not to see that these present actions of destruction whether perpetrated by themselves or in their name, have any possibility of ending in a positive result for most of them. I suspect lines are being drawn in the sand to try and keep these alternative voices quiet. But almost all of the Aboriginals I’ve met and worked with are friendly, honest and quietly proud. The internal tension building in those communities must be significant, something has to give.

If a bunch of racially non-qualifying citizens (94%) decided that the history of slavery, last perpetrated by Indians in Canada, was so overwhelmingly heinous that they chose to torch longhouses and totem poles and vandalize their artifacts would, “it wouldn’t be cool but I could understand it” be an acceptable response? I wonder if the RCMP would take an interest or if the political class would just “strongly condemn” such actions?
