  1. Yeah, but that’s the fault of the nasty people who won’t get vaccinated, right? It’s got nothing to do with marrying a centrally planned medical care system with a totalitarian approach to disease management, right?

    1. The credibility level of doctors and scientists now approaches those of politicians and media.

One big happy fascist, totalitarian, communist family.

    2. I read the headline above as “Best HealthScare System in the World”, which is probably more accurate.

      1. Health care in Ontario is in decline. That alone is preventing me from moving back there in retirement …. The province is being mismanaged by a blond baboon who inherited the gig from burned out donkeys.

    3. The biggest Bullshit story ever repeated ad nauseum on Canadian MSM is that Canadians are better than the USA because we have free healthcare.
It costs 6200 dollars per year per man woman and child for that free healthcare. As of 2017 that is 4 years ago. About the same or more than the USA, depending on US plan.
But Canadians are just that stupid. Now have a Molson’s and Chant. “I AM CANADIAN” I have Free Healthcare. TAX ME I AM A STUPID CANADIAN>
So a family of 4 pays about 25,000 per year for Fake Free Healthcare in Canada.

    1. In a related story … my wife’s city of Oakland Teachers UNION has moved on from DEMANDING “COVID reparations” and is now DEMANDING single-payer Nationalized (read: Socialized) medical insurance. This is unbelievably ironic coming from a Teachers UNION whose members have a fantastic “Cadillac” Health Care program NOW.

Why would my wife’s Teachers UNION want their members to give up their EXCELLENT Health Care Plan … and adopt a shit sandwich of “single-payer” Nationalized Health Care disaster?

      You know the reason, comrade

    2. hey alla unDork, how would any one know the death rate FROM covid in either country, without weeding out the bullshit?

    3. Hey dipshit, tell us again how three to four months is the optimal gap between the vaccine doses.

  2. 16 million backlog for 13 million people. In Britain there is a 5.1 million backlog for 65 million. And does this include free fly-ins by Justin Air Express ? I’m looking forward to my annual rectal digital exam by phone for the second year in a row. So much nicer than previously.

    1. Looking forward, yeah, me too Burgess, Not agreeing with the comfort level being nicer though. It wasn’t so much of a problem getting the phone into my rectal orifice, but getting it back out was.

I guess if I’d used a smart phone instead of the old rotary phone land line……….

  3. C’mon people you just have to believe and show the appropriate level of fear demanded of you by your elders and betters. Global BC had a report yesterday about Grand Forks BC, the current terrifying new covid hotspot where they have low “vaccine” uptake levels and as a result high infection rates of 16 per 100,000 people. Grand Forks, by the way, has a population of just over 4,000 people, so at that rate they would have .65 new infections for the whole town. Terrifying isn’t it!

    1. Know the place; where is the nearest hospital? Think either Castlegar or Trail, both of which are a serious mountain range away.

It’s a nice small town, the centre of what was once and may still be a thriving agricultural area (developed mostly by the Doukhobors). Waay back in the day, en route to university at the coast, drove through Grand Forks at the height of the Sons of Freedom troubles. An armed guard stood outside the local community hall; the Grand Forks Doukhobors were determined their more fanatical brethren from up the Slocan were NOT going to burn down what had taken time and hard work to build.

As an aside, google Diefenbaker and the Sons of Freedom; family friend was on the stage when the “demonstration” occurred.

  4. Self inflicted wounds. My wife had 3 Covid tests before she got treated for a bladder infection. My daughter just had to fight to not have a Covid test for seasonal allergies. Eventually I had to go to a doctor to get my annual renewals of medications and I had to tell a security Nazi in the hospital not to be such an asshole. Everyone in the healthcare system has gone nuts. They are killing so many more or less treatable healthy people worrying about a flu that kills fat and old people on deaths door.

    1. My wife is having cancer surgery the first week of July, fuck the covid. Get it and die so I and my wife can get on with what is left of our lives. Stupid fucking Canadians.

      1. When someone says cancer surgery … the only word that pops into my mind is … NOWWWWWWW!! HURRY!!!

What kind of cancer surgery can wait for a month!? 100% survivable cancers, I hope. Be well, and best of luck to your wife.

  5. Was, is, and continues to be a fairytale. It falls under the classification of everybody cannot have EVERYTHING. That is a fact, not fiction, and I defy anyone in the world to prove me wrong. The challenge goes out to all the SDA’ers. B S and bafflegab will not be accepted as an argument. If I were wrong we would all be as rich as Bill gates. Hell, what am I saying, if young Twadels keeps printing money we may all have as much worthless money as Bill.

    1. Was, is, and continues to be a fairytale.

On a certain website I check in with from time to time, I used to chat with members who lived in the U. S. One absolutely loved Canada because of its “free” medical care. I did my best to convince him otherwise, but he would have none of it.

      1. I know. It’s tough to get through to those who have drunk the Kool-Aid. There is some irony though that Quebec is the only province to my knowledge that has a private health care component.

        1. His Ralphness wanted a two-tier system in Alberta. So, if you had money, you got better care.

        2. Medical imaging is somewhat private in Alberta.

For BADR, this was never a bad idea, though I used to be squishy about it. I once had a long discussion about it with someone I wish I could remember where I think we solved all the major problems with relative fairness. But then, I was in my 20s.

      2. Yep,
Was a bit of a part time ski bum in the `70s. One of the classic ski movies at that time was: “The High Cost of a free Ride”

    2. Hey, we have the BEST palliative comfort care. Because that’s the only option left in most cases when you finally get a diagnosis.

  6. The backlog of 16 million is much reduced once you deduct all the requests by politicians for spine transplants.

    1. gordinkneehill, is that number lessor or greater than the one waiting for ballz installation?

  7. Canada has a half century old two tiered health care system except when the border is closed which likely explains some of the increased backlog. A single payer government delivery monopoly thrives on the belief of the masses that each person pays less into the system than they receive in services….. until they require non life-threatening treatment and find themselves on a long waiting list. In such cases, depending on the patients level of discomfort and means, the US border (or flights to Thailand, Mexico, India, etc) are the best alternative to servile Canadian approved behavior. It is a monument to the NDP politics of envy, resentment, and hatred (as adopted by Libs and Cons) that Canadians are forced to spend their own money on their own health care outside their own nation.

  8. The system remains, as is, until you are willing to start ignoring the CBC, and vote for the guy they say is “attacking healthcare”.

What have you got to lose? You place in the 5 year wait list?

  9. And this, sports fans, is proof that the Wuhan Crud panic was never about the virus itself, but the fact that it exposed our socialist health care system as being utter crap. Neither the dimwit politicians or the mendacious medical mavens could tolerate such exposure. Tommy Douglas isn’t dead enough yet.

  10. How does that measure up to last year, given that most diagnostic work has been put on hold since the start of “2 weeks to fatten the curve”?

    1. Oh boy JD, and did they ever “fatten” the curve! Two weeks into fourteen months so far!

  11. So, all that’s necesssary is to grant an “amnesty” to those awaiting services, reset the count to zero, and – Shazam! Problem solved!

    1. I worked for a large educational institution in the home Province of Tommy Douglas. I remember one year a while back there were a small number of programs that were in high demand and had long waiting lists. The grumbling was growing, and the complaints were starting to roll in. The Commies in power at the time simply abolished the waiting lists, and forced everyone to reapply. Problem solved. Should work well for our Soviet-style medical system.

  12. L – Marxist agriculture policy in Ukraine killed 6 million plus of starvation.
Marxist agriculture policy in Red China killed 40 million plus of starvation.
Marxist medicine in Canada, U.S., U.K. et al has killed far more than the Wuhan virus, itself.

The common theme is censorship; that is because knowledge is power.

“In the absence of facts, there is no truth. There is only ideology.” – Sultan Kinish

    1. Wait till we are living off grid with huge reductions in our power supplies being legislated by our warmist government.

  13. But But Butts..
We shut down for just two weeks to save the healthcare system from being overwhelmed..or something for the past 15 months..
Denying the taxpayers access and patrolling their lives with all kinds of hall monitors,Ratfinks and State Minions..
yet what additions to the available healthcare did we see?
Immense bureaucracies to monitor us,track the “virus”..any replacement Doctors,Nurses or Orderlies?

That Public Health Care is a genuine Norwegian Blue.
And The Dread Covid Theatre in all its prolonged agony and farce, has shown us dummies who pay for it,that it is dead, long dead and smelling real bad.
    All the masks are off.
And what a sight we see.
When the people charged,or self appointed, with the task of providing this mythical beast of a service, respond to a “medical emergency”, a proclaimed Pandemic to twit, with denial of medical services, authoritarian denial of all civil rights and freedoms and an endless totalitarian holding the healthy hostage..You might begin to suspect they have no idea of what their function is.
It is impossible to rise to the challenge and meet the responsibilities of your position(As a well rewarded parasite..I mean government official),when you have no concept of the duties you were being paid to perform.
Clueless and Useless is not a cheap shot.
This is the cold confirmed reality.

Crisis, whether real or self created, brings character flaws into the spotlight.

These entitled nitwits are exposed like never before and responsible for the most egregious screw up I have seen.
The absolute Shit Show of our helpers response to The Dread Covid, will mark a turning point in history.
With help like this,we need no enemies or other forces acting against us.

Retribution is called for,for failure this massive, done with such arrogance and such stunning ignorance, cannot go unpunished.

Not if you wish to live in a civil society.
We have just watched a mass of people, who have demonstrated their unfitness for any decision making position. And demonstrated their utter contempt for the basic institutions that make a civil society possible .

Who they believe they serve and what they protect is meaningless words to me.

    I have seen their actions.
And they are too stupid, evil or fearful to resign.

Many are demonstrating appalling delusions of Adequacy, with the intent of bluffing us out and hanging on to their position, sucking the life out of the productive members of society.
    “But we helped you”.
“Really without our actions you would all have..?”Perhaps not even noticed any thing different about the 2020/2021 flu season?
Damn shame the Dread Covid , as projected by their lovely computer models, was such a thin brew.

Now the Butt Covering and the relentless propaganda will really kick in,for failure of the narrative at this point would be a tragedy ..For the Parasitic Overload.

    1. “We shut down for just two weeks to save the healthcare system from being overwhelmed..or something for the past 15 months…”

Yep…now we’re finding out that during this time they basically did SWEET FUCK ALL!
The ONLY care they offered was “supportive care”, in other words, fluids and Tylenol.
Oh but if you got really sick, they’d shove a tube down your throat which would eventually kill you.
Socialized medicine it appears is really good at helping you die. That’s what I witnessed with my mother who died of cancer in 2015. Oh she got top notch palliative care, and they managed to make her dying a little less unpleasant. But she still died.

  14. Holy crap. I do watch a few Disney kid shows because they don’t have gay characters, outside of “Andi Mack”, they are surprisingly apolitical, and they do make me laugh.

And I do follow the kids on Instagram. They have cute pictures and are incredibly nice kids. You would be surprised how religious many of them are. These days. I just want a break and not be pissed off 24 hours a day.

Anyways, Kaylin Hayman, posted. Girl is 13 and got the second shot. She has a post in the story area where she says she feels like shit…not her words… Instagram, helpfully has a little banner on her post to a site telling us of the great miracle of the vaccine. It was pretty shocking.

Especially Kaylin. She’s a tough girl. On her show, “Just Roll With It”, a horn would go off three times a show. The cast had no idea what was going to happen. Eating challenges. Slime. Explosions. In the middle of one show, they took Kaylin out of the set, put her in a car, and flew her and her Mom to Arizona, The rest of the cast had to improvise. They pretty much tortured the cast for 2 years. Seriously. They did a lot of crazy stuff. Kaylin was amazing and just rolled with it. And despite all that, she has a video on IG saying how crappy she feels after the shot.

And Cliff from “Cheers” was on for 5 episodes. I was actually kind of worried about him. It was Disney and I knew they wouldn’t air any episodes where they killed John. They didn’t put him in any major stunts. I was still kind of worried about him though.

While it’s still up there, check out Kaylin’s story. It’s about 15 seconds. Feeling like crap after the shot. And she’s a tough girl. And the sweetest kid ever.

  15. Biggest lie ever foisted on Canadians along with how vastly superior Cuba’s healthcare system is when compared to the U.S. courtesy of Michael Moore’s documentary “Sicko” where 9-11 NY firefighters were sent to Cuba to treat their respiratory illnesses on Moore’s dime for the express purpose of embarrassing the U.S.
So where did Moore get treatment for his life threatening pneumonia in 2016? New York of course.

Typical Canadian: “Yeah, but it’s free!!!”

  16. We definitely have 2 tiered care.
For $10,000 the mother of my grandson had her boobs enlarged in Toronto last week.
    Priorities folks.

  17. “If you think health care is expensive now, wait until you see what it costs when it’s free.”
    P.J. O’Rourke

  18. My wife and I left ontario 10 years ago, we live in Boston now. Saved her life. She’s had 12 medical procedures the last 4 months. She has two completely independent cancers, one aggressive, one not. What we got in 4 months would take 5 years of waiting in canada, and she would be dead in canada in less than a year. But her prognosis in Boston is good now. Two major surgeries last two months. No waiting lists. Awesome care. I could not be more grateful.

  19. hmmm.
A Canadian Health Care SYSTEM that employs more Sunshine list middle Management in as many layers as is required to administer to a Lessor number of actual CARE GIVERS.

It’s FAT – Bloated….and eats money like candy.

My only experience in US Health Care came a cpl yrs ago in Wausau, Wis where I was working for Manitoba HYdro on their Keeyask Project. got bit by some critter on the ear and had no choice but to seek some medical care. Walked into a Clinic and was seen by a Care giver within 10 MINUTES…!!! !0 freaking minutes. I was processed, diagnosed and out the door with a prescription within 20 min. $200 USD…that AHS told me they would not reimburse: Cause the person who wrote the prescription was not a DOCTOR.
    Assholes.

  20. Just think what health care would be like if government simply divided up the combined spending into individual “Health Dedicated Savings Accounts” and left us to manage how it was spent in a free market of health services. Heck, do the same with education funding, pensions, child allowances, safety-net support payments and any other “help” that governments fund.

Couple such an “it’s on you” approach to public service spending to a logical single transaction tax without exceptions or exemptions and you approach perfection in public/private delivery of the benefits of citizenship.

  21. I know a young boy with a very rare health condition.
Finally at age 10 his parents took him to NIH in Maryland where he was finally diagnosed. They flew him 5 times at 6 month intervals to monitor, treat and then provided meds for the next 6 months.
ALL costs including flights, meds accommodations for he and his mom paid for by the U.S. “Compassionate Care Program” that was since canceled by Obama.
Not one dime was covered by Canadian or provincial health ministries that could not figure out what was wrong with him. They had written him off.
He’s a big handsome young man today.

  22. Canada’s Health Care = Assisted Dying. Tommy Douglas = Canada’s Greatest Con-man.
