As part of a $700,000 advertising campaign, Time magazine published articles from a Chinese state-run media agency touting a controversial Chinese drone maker accused of helping the government surveil Uyghurs and boosting the Chinese Communist Party’s latest five-year economic plan.
Time has published 75 online articles from China Daily as part of the lucrative ad deal, which began late last year. The Time webpage discloses that the company is paid to publish the China Daily articles, though not that they are state-sponsored propaganda.
The Justice Department requires China Daily to disclose its media activities under the Foreign Agents Registration Act due to its affiliation with the People’s Republic of China. The news agency paid millions of dollars for advertising and printing over the past six months to American newspapers and magazines, including Time, the Los Angeles Times, Chicago Tribune, and Foreign Policy magazine.

Was Time’s cover and fake story with the crying illegal alien kid looking up at Trump just a part of the deal or was it part of the magazine’s resume and interview process?
Were they demonstrating their ability to lie?
That was the Democratic party using their influence tool that they own, the mainstream media, to influence the vote. Bought and Paid For Media.
I’m teaching my kids about the dangers of the advertising industry and about the disgusting mainstream (corporate) media. One example I use is whenever we get into my truck, I turn off the radio, and I explain to my kids that every word uttered on the radio was bought and paid for by someone else who is trying to sell us something. If it’s not a company trying to sell us a product, then it’s the government attempting to convince us to believe something.
Incidentally, I have turn the radio off in my truck (Dodge Ram) every single time I turn it on. There is no way to power the radio off, I can only mute it until the next time I turn it on. The best I can do is turn the volume down, but of course my wife turns it back up the next time she drives it. Does anyone else not find this utterly ridiculous?
Rick Dick, buy a ford or GMC
Richard, It is indeed rare I ever turn on the radio in my truck (Dodge Dakota) but the radio isn’t an auto on item either. If it was, it would likely have a bullet hole in it. Maybe you can wire a power on/off switch to it. Failing that. remove the fuse and tell the missus it’s busted!
Dick, that’s simply awful. Lol.
Get yourself a Blue Tooth and then you can listen to what YOU want and not the total pile of complete & utter BS & Propaganda spewed daily at you via said bought n paid for Media…btw, it’s worse up here in Kanuckistan…!!
My latest work truck is the same. A 2015 Ram. Its annoying but I usually blutooth music from my phone once that connection is made if I want to hear something other than shyte.
I inherited my father’s 2013 TurboRam and took over his SiriusXM account. I have it on either Channel 76/Symphony Hall or Channel 355/Met Opera Radio. It makes my drives to and from my house in B. C. quite pleasant–no commercials, no idiotic blather, and great music.
We need a full list of the recipients of the Chinese largess.
Thud
Hmmm…in Canada that would be the entire Canadian body Politic mayors on up, the MSM and every Publicly Paid Health Mouthpuece.
All of whom should be hung after being found guilty of Crimes Against Humanity: Banning Drs from Prescribing Ivermectin upon pain of licence removal & their utter BS of using 29-45 cycles of PCR testing to grossly inflate Flu #’s used to predicate their NAZI fantasies.
I would gladly donate my time to build the Gallows….
When comparing the corporate news media, in the US and Canada, with the likes of Jeffery Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell I find it difficult to distinguish between the two with regard to who is less reputable, more morally bankrupt and completely and totally without probity.
These sound like good drones. If I was in the market for one, I’d consider one. I would also like a Luger.
