    1. If a majority of Albertans are stupid and ignorant enough to be convinced that Harper is their best hope for a ‘savior’, then the province is already long lost.

    2. That would be brilliant. He can think rings around Justin and he would make sure Alberta’s voice was heard.

    3. Stephen Harper is not Albertan. Why in Hell would Albertans want the Failed FakeCon Harper, we have his useless pup Kenney now, plus Harper’s son is on staff and about 30 other failed pos Kenney brought from Ottawa.
That is the problem we have Harper now.

      1. Who counts as an “Albertan”? Do you have to be born there? That’s as bad as Quebec.

        1. Stephen Harper is no more Conservative than Trudeau is a conservative.
No disrespect to you, but when they all have the same policies and think the same how does applying a different label such as Liberal or Conservative change their core beliefs?
Harper sat on 4.1T in debt and did NOTHING to cut government back. Name one monumental thing he did as a CON.
Kenney has the same methods as Harper talk and do nothing and in the end bend down and kiss the ass of Quebec.

It was Harper and Kenney who increased Albertans Equalization Payments to Quebec just before the election to buy votes in Quebec.
Why would any rational Albertan want Harper or for that matter Kenney. Both are Idiots and both are Globalists

CANADA can not be fixed by voting CON. As soon as they are elected they sell out Alberta and SK and have to kiss Quebec and Atlantic Canada’s ass to stay in power.
This is the same scenario over and over and over since 1905.
Canada just simply does not work for Western Canada and Alberta in particular.

    4. Not a hope in hell I would vote for that guy. He had his chance and went with the Globalists.

Give me Brian Jean leading the Wild Rose party ANYDAY of the week..!!

  1. Hey, Kenney! Instead of mewling and puking about a fake plague and going along with what your sweetie Hinshaw tells you, I’ve got something you can do to make yourself useful.

Over 2 hours ago, I got back to Edmonton from a road trip of nearly 700 km. You know Highway 43? Yeah, the one that neither you nor your other sweetheart Red Rachel could be bothered to continue twinning from Beaverlodge to the B. C. border.

Well, I’ve got news for you, dinglefritz. The highway in both directions in the section from Grande Prairie to the Smoky River valley is in dreadful shape. Yeah, you’re going to need some good springs and shocks on your motor vehicle, particularly going to GP. It’s ripples most of the way over that stretch.

Oh, that’s not all, Kenney. The stretch from Onoway to about 30 km past Whitecourt is even worse. The stuff I had in the back of my truck was bouncing almost as bad as I was and I was strapped in with a seatbelt.

Now, Kenney, can you tell me how on earth we’re expected to take advantage of the 110 km/hr speed limit if you insist on letting the busiest highway in NW Alberta fall into rack and ruin?

Is that why I pay my taxes in this province?

    1. As a follow-up, I noticed how things changed along that route since I drove to and from my house in B. C. 4 years ago.

One thing I saw was how parking lots for motels in places like Whitecourt, Fox Creek, and Beaverlodge were largely empty. Another was a large number of private properties located along the highway near Grande Prairie had “For Sale” signs in front of them.

I also saw a number of industrial facilities completely shut down. One was located right next to the Ritchie Brothers yard near Grande Prairie. The building looks in good condition from the outside, but the property doesn’t appear to have been used for at least a few months and, like the other places, it’s up for sale.

In addition, there’s not a lot of oilfield equipment on the move.

      1. BAD I noticed the same everywhere you go in Alberta. Empty business’s boarded up, 3rd world roads, worse than I ever remember even during the NEP

    2. That Hwy 43 section from the Smokey River to the “T” into GP has been like that, ever since it was twinned. You needed that seat belt cinched tight to stay on the seat! My sensitive stuff was strapped into the back seat of the the F-150, to keep it from bouncing around into the front seat. Never follow any high boy except at a respectful distance, or you’d get pelted with rocks and gravel they picked up from the Range Roads, every time they hit a “swale” or hump in the road.
I fondly remember when 43 was just two lanes and chugging up behind some tanker truck on one of the hills east of Valleyview, or west of Whitecourt and then racing the bastard down the other side to pass him, before the next hill.

      1. That Hwy 43 section from the Smokey River to the “T” into GP has been like that, ever since it was twinned.

You might be right about that. There was a period of more than 30 years since the early 1980s, which was the last time I drove it when it was only two lanes, and 2017 after my father died. The latter was the first time I travelled that route since it was twinned and I don’t remember having to ride so many ripples into GP. Heading east, well, that hadn’t changed.

Never follow any high boy except at a respectful distance, or you’d get pelted with rocks and gravel they picked up from the Range Roads, every time they hit a “swale” or hump in the road.

I found that out when I drove that route 4 years ago in my Golf. Fortunately, there wasn’t any damage when that happened.

I know all about following trucks when the highway was two lanes. I did the same thing a few times in my old VW Rabbit. The Smoky River valley was bad for that as was the Iosegun River area.

        1. Hey BA and PO’d.
I hear you, from other highways and range roads in Alberta, mine being east of Edmonton, down Highway 14, towards Tofield and, beyond that, right on down to Wainwright, excerpt that I turned right, down range road 200 on home.
BA…I sure hope you settle the estate one fine soon day. It seems to drag on beyond the pale, given your reportage here over what seems years.
Don’t get me wrong…I fully appreciate the complexities you face, having supported my wife through settling a much simpler estate than what you have described.
However, I hope you get to wrap up soon.

          1. Thanks.

In my case, I ended up with a house with more than 50 years worth of stuff, a lot of it left over from when my mother died.

However, to borrow a phrase from chess, the endgame has started. The basement is a lot emptier than it was when I started, as are parts of the main floor. The garage, however, is going to need some more work.

A lot of what’s left falls into the “what on earth am I going to do with this” category.

      2. I’ve had that happen to me – I think they’re using Mexican overdrive. And enjoying themselves. It does get dull out there.

    1. Hey, Prinz Dummkopf! It’s already been tried.

Can you say “Opportunities for Youth, 2021 version”? Yup, your alleged daddy tried the same thing around the time you were born. How’d that work out, eh?

      1. Nazi Germany. Wow, history repeating itself before our very eyes.

        1. Way back I talking to a friend whose father-in-law was in the German army (nearly starved to death in a prison camp) he was asked “how did Hitler come to power”. His answer was “I don’t know , we just work up one day and Hitler was in power”.

Sound familiar Canada with COVID totalitarianism ?

          1. Yep. I left Canada for my perch in Florida a free man and returned a prisoner of the state in 2020. Have I mentioned that Canadians are freaking stupid cowards. 90% of them. Now will someone prove me wrong? Two pastors in Alberta and one in Ontario is a pretty sad commentary on the courage of Canadians.

      2. With the federal government employees, everyone seems to have a French accent and are dumber than shit.

        1. That’s because official bilingualism seriously favours the Québeçois. The qualifications for a francophone to be listed as bilingual are much less than those for an anglophone getting the same designation. And I speak from experience – some years ago, ended up with a “bilingual” francophone on what was supposed to be the English line of Rev Can and ended up having to use my very limited French to get an answer. More recently, spent several hours on hold (and am aware that was lucky) to get a “specialist” answer a particular query and got a francophone who was heading off duty and who gave me an “answer” totally at variance with the CRA publication on that particular query. Needless to say, went elsewhere for guidance.

          1. That’s almost as bad as getting someone from Coleslawvania who barely speaks English and, yes, I encountered a lot of them when calling government offices at just about any level.

At least if they had a western or northern European accent, I can quite likely understand them, having grown up in a home where both German and English were spoken.

    2. I agree! I’ve started lupins in the front yard and carrots and wax beans in the back. Young people make great fertilizer!

Canada needs this (NOT). What we really need is a thermonuclear rip over Ottawa….and pretty much any Provincial Legislature to boot. CCP co-opted Garbage in them all.

      1. steakman, Canada needs people who actually think critically and logically and have the balls to do what needs to be done.

        1. Canada needs people who actually think critically and logically

Getting to that point would be near impossible in this country.

“If you just start to be clever, it’s a crime in our country. It’s very hard for me not to be clever. I’m sorry,” he chuckles, speaking from his research institute in Marseille.

      1. If you just start to be clever, it’s a crime in our country.

That sounds like a certain Canada that I know. Being clever makes one stand out from the herd and such mutations must be culled.

          1. Correction (slightly):

            There were 332 people killed.

Two baggage handlers in Japan and one of the victims on the plane was pregnant.

            Not that Jag cares.

          2. And let’s not forget the two Japanese baggage handlers who died when a piece of luggage they were transferring went off prematurely.

          3. Osumashi, Frances:

If I recall correctly, someone was actually charged and convicted for the incident in Japan.

As for the Air India bombing, whoever did it knew what he was doing. The wreckage was found off the coast of Ireland less than a year later, but it was at such a depth that recovering anything for an investigation would be quite difficult as well as expensive. Even then, there might not be enough evidence to figure out who as responsible.

      1. Has anyone dug up these shadows on ground penetrating radar or are we supposed to be outraged at the existence of rocks and other buried objects? Even if there are graves, could these not be in an abandoned reserve cemetery. Does anyone know where the unmarked graves of 150 years ago are? At worst 215 is 3 deaths a year in a school of up to 500, the largest in Canada. This was in a time when deaths from communicable disease was common. I had an uncle die of tuberculosis and my grandfather died of scarlet fever. That doesn’t happen any more. Old cemeteries are full of children.

        1. Yep I don’t think they’re going to dig around. Imagine if it’s just a mistake.

    2. During my last trip to Fort St. John earlier this week, I saw flags all over the place at half-mast. By the way, traditionally, “half-mast” means one flag width below the top, not halfway down the pole.

    3. As a white person who lived on 2 reserves with my native Indian friends in my youth. One thing that was very prominent with the natives was their immense Hate for East Indians, whites not so much.

    1. My understanding is that doctors are forbidden to prescribe it for Covid. Prescriptions are monitored, and a doctor could lose his license.

    1. If that happened here in Alberta, I know it would be pointless for me to contact either my MLA (Red Rachel) or my MP (Heather Macpherson, a Dipper). Knothead wants even tougher measures, so I guess she’d be delighted to make people like me suffer more.

      1. The most drastic health consequence of Wuhan Flu appears to be the impact it has on functioning of brains and spines of politicians. Even those who otherwise could be counted on not making things worse and maybe occasionally making some things better, lost all their marbles. Ford is a perfect example. Initially he tried to be a voice of common sense. He really did. Now he is just a zombie bitch of “health experts” who themselves are nothing but petty tyrants. We are living under the dictatorship of Karens. And Karens routinely react with hysterical aggression to any suggestion that things went too far.

        1. Let’s face it, anyone trying to talk “common sense” gets a monumental pile-on from the opposition parties (who obviously favour killing small businesses) and the MSM whose specialty is a combination of “fear porn” and “Covid porn”. Kenney in Alberta is facing the perfect storm: Notley of the NDP who sounds wholly plausible and concerned for our health evem as she advocates totally killing small businesses, and the MSM repeats her message endlessly.

I am extremely grateful that – here in Alberta – the grandbrats are back at school. One grandbrat might be okay with on-line learning, but the other three are not and one is definitely regressing despite parents’ best efforts.

      2. It is pointless contacting any of them, they are brain dead fascists. Mass civil disobedience is the only way this shit will end.

  2. Please forgive me if this full video of the Prime Minister from May 31 has already been shared. The two most interesting points in the comment thread are how he gives Great Reset talking points and he is so animated that one commentator suggested he was on something and it was definitely not AstraZeneca.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dziCSMa9O6k

    1. I lasted only a few seconds, thanks to the gushing of the fangirl interviewer. Move over, Rosie–you’ve got serious competition.

      (Entertainment Tonight? Barf!)

    2. “one commentator suggested he was on something and it was definitely not AstraZeneca.”

An email I got had the photos of a buxom twosome named Astra and Zeneca and the caption

      “Not recommended for older men”

      1. I can’t believe that I watched the whole clip.
        Is he doing coke? Benzedrine?
        He was sure speedy.
Oh, and he claims that due to the lockdown life, he has discovered that he is actually an introvert.
Bwa ha ha h ha ha ha ha haah!!!

      1. The coming election won’t be about issues, ideas, and policies. Thanks to voters like her, it’ll only be concerned with which political leader fills out his pants the best.

    3. Even 12 year old boys are smarter than this Poopineau ‘ontrealer.
What a nutter, acting foolish– even mispronounced some words. They stuffed the ballot boxes with dead peoples’ names– guaranteed.

      1. If one’s relatives voted Liberal after they died, would it be possible to disown them?

    4. Wow Ed, Canada is such a paradox eh! He enthusiastically says that we are a kind, giving, and caring people, always wanting to help other nations such as India as it suffers from Covid. Yet at the same time, we are white supremacists, and systemically racist to the core. Of course it’s really easy for him to tell the difference, if you vote liberal, than you are the former, but if you identify as Conservative, then you are the latter. He also was “enthusiastic” about the need to have EVERYONE to get the vaccine, and “persuading” your crusty old uncle to relent, conform, and get the needed needle, so we can all go back to normal.
I’m thinking in a year or two, they’ll know who the crusty ones are, because we won’t be the ones dropping like flies, as the mysterious rapid rise in death rates across the country begins to accelerate. they’ll then be able to blame the Crusties as the cause of those deaths and racism. Yeah, it’ll be all our fault.

  3. True North reports on the Edmonton member of city council, who explains cancel culture doesn’t exist. And Adolf spent over eight million dollars trying to get that UN Security Seat.

    1. The Turdeau spent a lot more than $8 million, if you include all the foreign aid bribes he handed out and promised.

      1. Harper didn’t even try to win a UN seat and he got better results than Trudeau did. The Boy Wonder can’t even do bribes properly.

    I don’t have a lot of hope.
Remember: 1. If you don’t submit to a breathalyzer when stopped by state thugs you are automatically guilty.
    2. If you drink and become “legally” impaired within two hours AFTER you drive home you can be found guilty of drinking and driving.

This isn’t a post-nation that even believes in the presumption of innocence while it forces you to submit incriminating evidence against yourself.
The majority of Canadians love it when the state ass-fucks their neighbor, even if they have to take a round themselves.

    1. Would it be too much to ask Sophie to fly coach when her ticket is being paid for by a charity?

      1. Why is a charity paying for the airline ticket of a multi-millionaire in the first place? That is simply disgusting.

I do charity work, and although encouraged to submit receipts for costs, I eat my meager expenses and just consider them donations. But then, I was never really smart enough to establish my own ‘foundation’ to openly steal, bribe and sleaze money from others, either.

Finally, you know the elites are in charge when you can be reimbursed for money donated to charity, but the hours of often hard work invested are completely ignored.

Finally, finally, I find it so sad that at a time many are sitting at home, fat and happy on their government dole, many charities are STILL fighting to find volunteers.

  5. Blacklock reports that the fake parliament wants to know why a one hundred and fifty million dollar contract for field hospitals was given to Lavalin, when none of the provinces asked for them. And its a mystery who actually gave the contract. So far the field hospitals haven’t been used.

    1. Because we could have used those field hospitals and some extra health care workers in the third wave, but for some reason, no further mention of the second wave field hospital plan during the third wave. If only we had a functioning, independent press corps!

    2. Field Hospitals eh…?

They were NEVER EVEN required….but hey, when you’re handing out Billions to all comers, why not hmm..??

      1. Yeah, Steakman. This is le Federal: The Society of Comers All Merit was invented when COVID came about… a.k.a. The SCAM Department. A bilingual Federal source of jobs, money and bien-être sociale available through Roxham Road, Quebec. Come one, come all, it’s free. /s

Michigan says because the pipeline does not terminate in the USA but merely transits and ends back n Ontario the Famous Treaty that Ottawa was waving around does not apply in this case.
US Federal law also clearly says that Michigan has authority over the underwater land of Strait of Mackinac within its borders.

  9. Russia and Saudi Arabia say that as the world pushes to Net Zero, the price of oil will hit 200 US per barrel.
Yah Trudeau and Globalists want you dead.
Liberalism Truly is a Mental Illness. And those that vote for them are even sicker.

“Novak confirmed the upcoming OPEC+ conference will address and finalize oil output for August and other months, while stressing that oil prices shooting too high “may force users to switch to other energy sources.”

On that front in particular, he blasted current IEA proposals and a “road map” being pushed which in the end could lead to $200 a barrel oil(!):

If the world were to follow the International Energy Agency’s controversial road map, which said investment in new fields would have to stop immediately to achieve net-zero carbon emissions by 2050, “the price for oil will go to, what, $200? Gas prices will skyrocket,” Novak said.

And naturally Qatar and Saudi Arabia seconded that dire assessment, vowing to continue expanding their oil and gas facilities while pointing the finger at the climate activists for seeking to starve industry cash. ”

  10. The Liberal Party’s Toronto Star is excited about the Liberal Party’s CBC fall lineup. Great new detective show about two indians investigating systematic racism in the justice system. Plus new shows featuring blacks and asians.

    1. Great new detective show about two indians investigating systematic racism in the justice system.

And what happens once they find it? It should be quite easy, considering how wide-spread it is, or so we keep being told.

      1. They’d better not interview any Indian women; they’re already pissed enough about the “restorative justice” that sends their rapists back into their communities.

  11. Warren Kinsella explains at the Toronto Sun, that Sir John A. Macdonald is a monster because he had dead indian babies thrown in a pit.

    1. Big deal. My GGGgrandfather was thrown in a pit.
In Upper Canada in about 1820 along with his FIL and half the community. They all died of Cholera.
That is what they did in those days when an epidemic struck. I had a hard time doing the family tree because it dead ended literally.
Finally found some notes in a travelling preachers archives who was the circuit preacher for the area.
The Pit was standard procedure. Had another one die a Coeur de Bois somewhere in the woods between Detroit and Quebec City, probably murdered by Indians about 1720. That was life then.

      1. During those times, communal graves were often used for those who couldn’t afford a plot. During times of plague, it was a matter of expediency to reduce the possibility of spreading the disease.

It’s all a matter of historical context.

        1. These look like individual graves with no headstones, not a mass grave which – by definition – is a pit into which many bodies are tumbled. Am willing to bet that a similar radar scan at any older graveyard out west would pick up a lot of “undocumented” graves. The dead were buried, and often the only memorial was a crude wooden cross which soon rotted away. Grew up near an old graveyard and used to wander through it as a child. Sadly, some vandals knocked the wings off the angel standing over one family’s graves. But still remember that there were a lot of graves which had no recognition.

      2. “probably murdered by Indians about 1720. That was life then.”

I had a couple of ancestors killed by Indians in the 1600s in Massachusetts. I am still waiting for reparations.

  12. “Violence, naked force, has settled more issues in history than has any other factor, and the contrary opinion is wishful thinking at its worst. Nations and peoples who forget this basic truth have always paid for it with their lives and freedoms.”

  13. Scar, Frances, Rupertslander, this douchebag had the audacity to say that he accepted the findings of the investigative teams that determined that this was an act of terrorism, not that he denounced it.

    Scum.

    1. There were two acts of revenge for what the Indian Army did at the Sikh Golden Temple in 1984.

One was the assassination of Indira Gandhi a few months later. The other was the Air India bombing.

Don’t forget that there was a Sikh terrorist camp located in the Fraser Valley. Has our buddy Jughead denounced that yet?
