1. I have been saying for long time now the terminally stupid are in control and it is getting worse.

   1. Not just terminally but purposely stupid and proud of it.

      1. Not only are they proud of it, they hold in contempt those who are, in fact, more intelligent and talented than them.

         Bureaucracies are full of them, academe in particular.

2. No. Our masters are evil, not stupid. Had they been stupid they would have been seen off long ago.

   Their puppets are often blithering idiots, but that’s another matter.

It’s America’s obsession with identity politics and particularly the racism of low expectations that excuses looting and shooting as being perpetrated by those who, in the biggest welfare state on the planet, are perceived as oppressed people who can’t help themselves. This is the dividend from LBJ’s “Great Society”. Dems caused it and Dems can’t fix it.

   1. In Canada teaching is, effectively, a government job.

      1. Yup. I was frequently reminded of that while I was teaching at Armpit College.

         Years ago, the provincial government granted the “gravy” funding to those departments that displayed favourable Key Performance Indicators, which included high graduation rates and keeping the kiddies happy. My department head, who was always looking for ways to advance himself, insisted that we gear our teaching accordingly because it made him look good to the institution’s administration.

         I guess that made me a civil servant, didn’t it?

      2. Seems to be the same in the U.S. Maybe worse given that the teachers don’t really teach.

         1. I found out at Armpit College that I wasn’t allowed to teach.

            Actually teaching the course material like it should have been taught might have meant that people would have had to earn their grades and actually–ahem–learn the course material. It would have also meant that if they had difficulties, they would have had to seek help, even (horrors!) speaking with me. It would have also meant that there were people enrolled who had no business being there as they had neither the talent nor the ambition to succeed at their studies. It would have meant that some people might actually–wait for it!–fail!

            And, yes, I got into a lot of trouble for it, particularly after I disregarded the directive that I, as a “learning facilitator”, had to “deliver” learning which “met or exceeded the expectations” of my “customers”.

            However, whenever I mentioned that I had to actually earn my rewards while I was a university student, it was almost always fobbed off by my “intellectual privilege”. Ah, so it was because I was so smart, eh? How is it that I barely graduated in the top third of my undergraduate class? Later, as a grad students, my grades were respectable but far from outstanding and, yes, I often had to work hard to earn them.

7. I wonder what happened in late May last year, and into the summer, that created this spike in violence? Hmmm, the media will never know I guess.

    So….as a black American, do you believe you should have zero consequences for shoplifting? If so, do you also object to being closely observed when you walk into a retail store?

    I believe that most black Americans do not agree with that crazed lunatic calling for a shoplifting free-for-all, however, the fact that the protest leader was not widely condemned by all ‘community organizers’ everywhere is disturbing.

    I was in Vegas just before Covid and saw that part of the culture first hand. About 12 of us in line to pay, and a black guy, with his entire arse only covered in underwear, comes in and loads his cargo pockets with product, and then walks right out, past the security guard who did nothing….it was shocking.

    How can a country survive and thrive when such a significant segment cannot function in a high trust society?

    1. We have bred and imported a vast underclass in America. People with low IQ’s, a horrible, welfare lifestyle, and no prospects for any kind of a future. They don’t want to eat FREE soup kitchen food … so they TAKE what they want. And the “genius” Central planners who opened the immigration spigot to the least common denominators … and PAID poor women ovvvvv cullller to breed babies they couldn’t possibly care for? No dads in the home? What’s the plan, planners? Just unleash poor dumb people on America and “remake” America into a third world, lawless, shithole?

       Mission (almost) accomplished.

       Soon … all the productive class will be living behind walls with an Army of security guards. Just like in every -ghan-istan … Saudi Arabia … Haiti … just like every shithole in the entire world. Nice plan, Planners.

    2. I got bad news for you. I was at the LCBO in Ottawa a few weeks back and a black guy walks in with a ratty old gym bag and proceeds to load it with bottles of Gray Goose while all the staff could do was yell at him. He just sauntered out the way feral Africans do and vanished with over $200 worth of vodka. One of the customers talking to a cashier even said something to the effect it was a good thing this wasn’t the US otherwise someone would have pulled a gun and shot. What a putz. But hey, invite Africans into your country, don’t be surprised if you get African attitudes towards law, order and property rights. The future of white countries is South Africa, followed by what was once Rhodesia.

       1. During my last year at Armpit College, I taught a service course to a certain department, only to end up with the Class from Hell.

          One of the students was a black chap who didn’t believe in punctuality, coming into my lectures whenever he felt like it. Any admonitions from me went unheeded and, when I brought up the matter with his department head, it was disregarded.

    I have always believed this started in the 1960’s with the anti Vietnam war movements on campus across the US. The left plays the long game. They don’t go away or change, they recruit, indoctrinate, implementing step by step till everything is chaos. Stupid evil people are indeed in charge. The destruction of almost any civility has metastasized to this. It’s rot has permeated every form of today’s society.
